  • Hey everyone! Today we're going to continue our introduction to Lake Atitlan by taking you into the main trading center and traveller village of Panajachel. We'll walk you around, show you a few of the sites and also take you into the markets and grocery stores to get an idea of what this city has to offer travellers and expats.

Awesome video guys! We took the Chicken bus into Pana...wicked ride! They have so much power that when you go around corners you slide from side to side...you can't help but laugh like a little kid. :) We enjoyed our time in Pana and loved Lake Atitlan, so thanks for taking us back...xo

Wonderful video! Such an unusual beginning! Thanks for showing some of the town, and some of it's shopping options! It sounds like you are very content to return to your peaceful lakefront casita, sit back, open those beers, and take in the views! Ahhh...

I grow up there in our holiday house at weekends coming from the City, we still have a small house there, for the time being is occupied, me and my Brother ( official owner ) live in Switzerland and Germany, shame he is not interested .... the House is in the back of Hotel Regis. Cheers to all Guatemala Fans.. as me.

Things have changed since your video. There now is a new grocery store Le Torre which opened in March '18. Much larger selection than the Despensa. The streets are much busier now too, more people despite off season now in the rainy season Sept. There now are 161 tuc tucs in town making getting around a bit easier. Little Pana is growing and many of the other towns and villages on the lake are too.
