  • Urban areas, with their large populations and complex ecosystems, are profoundly affected by biodiversity shifts. As cities expand and natural habitats are disturbed, public health is compromised by issues such as disease spread and the decline of ecosystem services that support human well-being. Despite its importance, the role of biodiversity in urban health is often disregarded in planning and policy discussions. This session aims to rectify this oversight by demonstrating how the preservation of urban biodiversity can enhance residents' health and resilience.
