LeClair is pure legend. One of the main reasons I became a Flyers fan. He was a monster and seems like a great guy. For me, his era was the golden age of hockey.

I remember when he was at BFA St. Albans and played my High School for the State Championship. We all hated him since he single handedly manhandled our team. Then when he played his first game with the Montreal Canadians we all watched in awe and cheered when he scored his first goal.

This guy was strong as fuck, even back then. Pairing him with Lindros was probably the best factor ever to get some extra performance. And he loves Philly, lives there too. In terms of Philedaplhian Athletes, he is world classy.

I agree. What a beast. My favorite player in my 20s, and my family told me I am related to him...oddly enough I am related to Jean Béliveau. But, LeClair was a real deal power forward with the likes of Neely. Johnny Lac should be a Hall of Fame inductee soon.

Best day of my life was when I got to go into the Philly locker room after a game against the pens. Got to meet the team and get my picture with John. Also got an autographed Roenick stick. John was my hero growing up and still think back to that day 15 or so years later.

Nobody seemed to mind me wearing either of them when I went to watch him play in Boston, Montreal, Philly or even Ottawa. I had numerous LeClair cards, an autographed 8x10 pic of him and several news paper articles with him in it.
John's cousins house burned to the ground back in the 90's and I gave all of my memobilia to his cousins daughters that were at that time were very young.
