- It features the Liane Carroll Trio concert at Brecon Jazz Festival 2006. Filmed by the BBC and introduced by Julian Joseph, it features the trio on sparkling form, with a special guest appearance by Ian Shaw. Bonus Feature: Broadcaster Helen Mayhew's interview of Liane in Liane's home town (Hastings UK), with an impromptu performance of Three Sheets to the Wind. This DVD sees Liane at the peak of her powers, with her passion, musicality and emotional honesty at their pinnacle. She is spectacularly supported in this by her virtuoso bass player husband Roger Carey, and drummer supreme Mark Fletcher. And just when things couldn't get any better... she is joined by another BBC Jazz Award winner, singer Ian Shaw, for their rousing duet on 'You've Got a Friend'.

Had the pleasure of working with Liane on my late brother's album Wing & A Prayer back in the day. Such a talent - and great fun...
All love for Fagen's signature attitude and quirkiness on the mic, but he's first to admit he's no singer and never wanted the job. His extraordinary compositions _beg_ to be hijacked by master acrobats like Liane to become fully realized and rocketed to the next level. Always such a treat when that happens. This was flat out _mental_ 😵💥🔥

She’s very good - but I’m not onboard with your Fagen’s-vocals-are-deficient sell. Fagan is great. Nightfly is great. Nightfly VOCALS are great - snarky twang.
Funny, I usually hate remanufacturibg of Fagan’s songs but talented Liana pulls it off. Kudos.

I was just watching Mr Fagen sing the Goodbye Look with Wayne Krantz on guitar and noticed this video nearby. I thought I'd give it a go not knowing what to expect. This trio is just exceptional with great musicianship and what a ball of energy is Liane Carroll. Wonderful interpretation of two great songs.

Liane Carroll is being cheeky at the beginning when she says that Walk Between The Raindrops is a song about love. The raindrops are bombs, the regulars are soldiers, and the girlfriend is either dead or a hostage by the end of the song. What a perfect pairing of tunes.
