    I feel this pump, i also took 3 gaps years to work in a chem lab and was going to take the mcat last year but my dad died a month before so i took anoyher year off to cope. I am finally hitting the 515 area on the past three practice fls. Feels amazing. I also ditched the books and just did youtube and practice questions. This exam is definetky more of being able to analyze passages then just pure content

    You showed up on my feed today. Literally switching my whole mcat study plan as I started a week ago but transitioning to your methods because everything you’ve been saying about the bad resources I’ve been using is how I feel. You’re approaching things the same way I am so gonna trust you will be back in a couple months. Exam August 23. Cheers

    thank you so much ive been struggling so much with retention because id read the kaplan chapters and then do the anki for the chapters and it was just too much information. so you recommend doing your bouras anki deck and watching the simplifiedscience videos, then moving onto FLs and practice questions on AAMC? I am 80 days from my MCAT test rn

    Just curious, what is your outlook before and during med school? Was there something you wished you studied or brushed up on before entering? I guess another topic is covering the myths of med school and the truths of med school
    I been thinking of attending med school at tOSU but unsure

    • @TYLERLUNG
      @TYLERLUNG  5 месяцев назад

      I would say once you're accepted enjoy the time before medical school starts. It wouldn't be beneficial to success if you studied before entering.

    Do you mind sharing how many months you studied for the MCAT while working full-time?

    • @TYLERLUNG
      @TYLERLUNG  7 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for the support! I worked as an EMT in an emergency department. We would have 12 hour shifts 3 times a week. I would try to have my shifts scheduled 3 back to back and then 4 days off. During the days I would work, I would just do anki before work or during breaks/downtime at work. I would say this was roughly 4-5 months of studying while preparing for the MCAT. I did have an OK baseline from my previous two attempts regarding MCAT content. I was also able to get some time off before my exam to solely focus on that. Hope this helps :D

    How many questions did you do a day from the science workbook?

    • @TYLERLUNG
      @TYLERLUNG  7 месяцев назад +2

      I would start out with one passage a day untimed, and then review it right after updating my Google Sheets document while reviewing it. I would add more passages once my scores go up and then focus on timing once scores were good.
