I can just se the sparks in your eyes when you are showing us those tomos sheets. It reminds me of when i was a kid and i was watching pictures of planes and imagining i flew one. I live here in slovenia, where tomos was created and its nice to see that someone so far away is having so much fun becouse of them. Unfortunately, tomos story ended sadly, but its still a nice heritage and we still have a lot of clubs here which organize meetings
@@ericsalidbar1693 tomos you mean? It went downhill after the fall of yugoslavia because motorbikes from other countries could be imported more cheaply and they were more advanced too. Tomos didn't really upgrade their bikes enough to stay competitive. In their last years they tried with a scooter, but it was too little to late. They also made a 125cc supermoto with yamaha engine which were pretty good, but they didn't make that many of them. Apart from that they kept making these 50cc automatics and apn6 (alpino, but basicly the same thing) which were basicly the same as the old ones and to most people scooters were just a nicer option. Personally i liked tomos stuff but i'm a bit old fashioned in that regard hah. So at the end they just stopped producing bikes, there is still some stuff going on in their facility but im not sure what exactly they are making there now and if it's even still called tomos, probably not i'd assume. In their top years tho tomos bikes were great and technologicly advanced, they also raced in some series but that was long time ago. So i think (could be wrong) that the main issue was that they stopped improving with time, because they could do that in socialist yugaslavia. But when capitalism hit them and the competition came, they were to far behind and unprepared to catch up. Anyway this was all from the top of my head so feel free to google more, maybe some information is wrong and i surely missed a lot. I just know some stuff that my dad told me (he used to work there when he was young) and what i heard from news.
Glad you mentioned altitude. I live at 7500 feet & the first time I put a new pipe on my old Tomos I had a hell of a time figuring out what jet worked best. With a similar pipe on an a35 it four stroked like crazy with anything over a 64. Many days waiting for treats packages from San Francisco... I miss my Tomos!
Interesting, most the research I’ve done on jetting a A55, they suggest a 58-62 main and change from 25 to 30 on smaller jet. Even changed the atomizer on one of my Tomos. You’re saying 70’s. I need to check the 2 I’ve done.
@@MopedProblems ok, yeah on one I did the airbox mod and the other I got a angled K&N style. I went back to researching and now coming up with a 64 main with this set up. Stock with bi turbo and mesh filter. Some say 64-68. I thank you for replying and I’m definitely going to up the main, and go back to 25 idle beside it does load up when idling. Think I put a 210 atomizer in the first one, but this one I left it the original size. Have a great day and hope to see more from you soon!
I watched episode one and then this vid. You do very well at instructing how- to- mechanics. I just got a Kinetic re-done ( puts a smile on my face), it is dog slow, (28mph) quiet and rides a bit stiff. I like the quiet though, so the expansion pipe is out. There are so many idiots on muffler less cycles and fart pipe Hondas around NY, that the legislature passed a law to try to control them. ( Good luck). Mike
we did this some 25-30 years ago (or even remove rear pipe entirely for some dirt action , lol). nice to see slovenian mopeds used by muricanos. p.s. it should go or accelerate much faster than that, just rip it off.

Thanks Kristjan, i know i am not alone with appreciating these bikes. Lots of good memories.
How did it end?

Awesome treat for dad!
Hand held drills are difficult for sure.
i guess vise would be nice in that shop..
Regards from a croatian Tomos rider!
Killa miles😆. Mopeds with Dads is awesome!
when dealing with a aircooled two stroke engine then 14,7 to 1 is to lean , more like 13 to 1 to be on the safe side
You look like a good son. Greetings to your parents. They must be proud of you.

You have to do the airbox mod to run this jet. Definitely keep the 25 idle. The 30 tends to flood the motor at a long idle

You're the best Pete! Thankyou for my shirt! I love it and ot fits great!
Have you seen Treatland TV party pack carburetor. Just got it but you have to pre mix the gas.

Thanks Mike! Best of luck with the Kinetic

Do a55 cylinders runs better then the older iron a35 / a5 ones? Would those A55 have more power and torque?
A55 has much bigger transfer ports and runs cooler.
Mom's right... get an effing helmet and jacket
Where did you get that tomos automatic. Were they sold in USA
Yes they were sold in the USA, for many years. Since 2017 our company was the importer.
like the wind great move
Wish you did before and after ride
its shifting too fast from first to second.whats the top speed?
He NEVER gives any numbers. Annoying.
Спасибо!
Kilamiles i love it lol.
U kick ass..👍👍
yogi bera: I use it every time I start it !
Hey man are you possibly selling some tomos racing tt parts im from slovenia btw?
I use every time I start it
👌
Change his speedometer to mph, he is so confused with kmph
An old trick to get the rider thinking they are faster than they really are.
You never give real numbers in your upgrade videos. I don't know if it is worth the mod. @@MopedProblems
My tomos goes at least 40 kilograms
Why would you go ruining a perfectly good airbox like that?
helo you
