- Botswana’s Okavango Delta: one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Join me for an unforgettable bucket list trip to Khwai, on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta.
The best thing about it? I spend 2 nights at a black-owned luxury safari camp. @africanbushcamps was started by Beks Ndlovu, a former safari guide from Zimbabwe. ABC has over 15 stunning camps and lodges in 3 countries.
Check out Khwai Leadwood - the camp featured in the video: hubs.la/Q01h4YBP0

Sadly, drones were not allowed in the Okavango Delta. Drone shots from iStock.
This felt like I'm watching a cool version of National Geographic!!! This is brilliant and inspiring to know from Ranger to Luxury lodge owner!!
Thanks my dear! Next trip loading
ahh its so cool black owned, and by a former guide!! i think its so special that u highlight businesses by locals instead of giant international companies
This is absolutely beautiful video about my own country. I am from Botswana and also share a love for safari travel and I am a Wildlife Photographer. Beks Ndlovu, founder of African Bush Camps really outdid himself with this Khwai Leadwood Camp and I was stoked when I first saw its reviews and gallery. After watching this I am more determined to visit it soon. Kudos for giving black owned places a shout. Im a happy to see one of our own making it
Thanks so much for this nice comment! I’m so happy to hear that you found the video uplifting especially as it’s about your home country
beautiful landscape, beautiful culture, beautiful video. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing! Nice to see such perspective from an African like me! Karibu Kilimanjaro, Tanzania 🇹🇿, my home town! 🙏
Indeed, beautiful Africa, beautiful 🇧🇼 Botswana, I am a proud motswana , everyone is welcome in our beautiful country.
So beautiful! Great work displaying the glory.
The Delta is paradise on earth, the most beatiful place in Africa in my opinion!
Beautifully captured and produced. Reminds me of my safari trip to Zambia. The Southern African landscape is just breathtaking
Glad it brought back good memories!
My beautiful country 🇧🇼🔥
Wonderful video and we are headed to Botswana for the first time in early May - soon. Wonderful camp and we have chosen Desert and Delta camps because of their eco and cultural ethos. I will also welcome some warm weather coming from the UK. Can't wait. thank you for your website and videos.
Thanks for sharing Sara! Absolutely beautiful!
The songs at the end are simply the icing on the cake. WOW...what a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it :) thanks for watching!
Wow, kudos to you for finding a black-owned business in Africa.
Agreed! The music at the end was as beautiful as Botswana itself!!!
This is beautiful and well documented. Looking foward to see more of these. Love from Kenya.
Asante sana! Hopefully some Kenya content soon :)
Again, Thank you for sharing all your videos!

Beautiful hotel/safari lodge in an amazing and unique area, i've put it high on my list. Fun to watch, nicely done, and you are very photogenic ;-)
You haven't flown "little" until you've been in a 2-seater. A pilot friend of mine took me up over Puget Sound and we did barrel rolls and flew upside down. It was hella fun!! But I'm not scared of flying. My uncle was a pilot and I was only 3 the first time I flew. I fell in love with it immediately. ❤🛩❤
amazing skill is coming out of you which was hidden before ,, thank you for sharing this beautiful adventure , looking foward to see more of these .
Thanks for the support, as always
don't mention it.
Awesome vlog and a must visit
Magnificent and delightful! Well done, Sara!! The quality of your work, perspectives and narration of the situations and activities are magical. I am enthralled and particular happy that you showcase Black-owned hotels and businesses. Please, keep up the great work.
.....And you absolutely deserve to have more subscribers. I'll be sharing your work and rooting for you. Cheers.
Thank you so much 🥹 this made my day! I’ll keep the black-owned features coming!

I’ve just subscribed. Really enjoyed your video - so informative and helpful. I am looking foward to visiting this place and staying at this black owned stunning lodge!
Ohh lovely, so glad you found the video helpful! 🤗 next one will be on one of their camps in Zambia!
Beautiful, thank you for your video.
This is my dream and project to go there with my family
There were many families there and the kids really enjoyed it!
wow nice footage and educational.. black owned ..wow!!!
Thanks for watching!
This was a dream to watch! wow
Thanks my sis 🥰
Enjoyable!!👌🎊👏
I was infact with my family, just there in June, I am trying to hold onto every memory of Khwai that I can, thank you for the upload!
I also wonder if you have any of the other things they sung?
Oh, I so know the feeling! Wonderful memories ✨
One of the most beautiful spots on this planet! Elizabeth Taylor got married to Richard Burton here.😍
The north of the Botswana is sub-tropical, so winters are mild . It's a lot colder in the south and west, where winter nights and mornings regularly dip below freezing. Generally, the country has a semi-arid desert climate, so you get extremes in temperatures. Very hot summer afternoons can reach 40 degrees Celcius; very cold winter nights can go as low as minus 8 degrees Celcius. 😊
Wow the level keeps going up!
One day I’ll get closer to your level 😉
Beautiful video! I have family in Botswana and every time I visit this incredible country I make the awful mistake of returning to miserable England. This video makes me homesick of the country I really want to live in.
I can only imagine! Happy to hear the video brought back good memories.
Amazing video, Sara!
Thanks for watching!
wonderful 😍
Amazing 🤞🏾🇧🇼
Brilliant.
Is it not this song at the end so touching. Thank you for the video. how amazing that yuu use a small camera but gave good quality footage
Thanks for watching until the end! Glad you enjoyed the song as much as I did :)
This looks so peaceful! I'd like to book a flight, but I'm kind of hesitant about the whole malaria thing. Also, I need a customized trip for my children.
Beautiful❤
What a fantastic video. It felt like we got to go on this wonderful trip with you😃 Thank you for sharing this black-owned resort and your time in Botswana with us. Looking forward to many more of these types of videos!!
Thanks my friend 🤗 Belize next!!
Your footage almost looks like 4K. You're really talented. You could be on any major tv network.
Thanks so much! 🙌🏽
Im only 1 minute in and this is literally a movie - holy cow
Finished - that song at the end was a perfect ending.Great job, I wanna be like you when I grow up, honestly
Dadaaa thanks so much! I can’t wait for our next video together
Nice 👍and looking lovely ladie🌷
This was a great view of Botswana. Thank you! Do you have a list of black owned hotels in Zanzibar?
Good question. I haven’t verified any but will try to for an upcoming video
YYYAHHZZ!!!
Thank you for documenting this beautiful experience and great country👌👌👌❤how much did the whole experience cost?
Thank you! 🙏🏽 I’ll be real with you… it’s expensiiive. I was lucky to get the SA resident rate plus an additional partnership discount. African Bush Camps is so worth it though ✨
Great video. We just returned from safari but in Kenya. We wanted to take our drone for Zanzibar but the laws seem to forbid it. You flew a drone over the delta? They allowed that?
Drone rules across Africa are tricky. I’ve had issues in Kenya and Ghana before. Initially I was told that I could fly at the lodge in Bots (and I managed to take my drone) but it wasn’t allowed in the end. So I had to use drone stock footage for this video 🥲
Amazing safari, amazing video, and I like the music,Can you tell me the name of the music in the video?
Oh glad you like the music. It’s from Epidemic Sound
Best place in the world, really don’t need your money out here. We love life
Hi, awesome accommodation! Did you use a tour company and what month did you go?
I visited in July and it was a nice escape from cold Joburg 😊 Everything was directly booked with and planned by African Bush Camps. They’re great!
Nice video sara...so happy to know that thats a black owned lodge...
So happy you enjoyed it!
I wish to see it also heish
🐘🧡
This is a brilliant presentation. I like your safari very much. Do you have the name of this company for us to use? Filming is great. Do you have a team to do the filming?
Thank you! The company is African Bush Camps. I do the filming and editing myself.
@@sarajabril Many thanks. This is so good, you could easily get a slot in a TV channel.
Maun, my hometown
What were the costs?
Welcome home 😁. Nicely done video. Maun is my hometown btw
Beautiful home you’ve got!
@@sarajabril thanks.. you are most welcome even to come visit again 😁
Great video.
The black owned hotels guide link doesn’t work though.
Thanks for letting me know. Should be fixed now!
@@sarajabril thank you
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
How was traveling solo to Botswana?
I loved it! African Bush Camps made everything very easy for me
Awesome. Don't underestimate black people
can't believe you re 54!😳
Okavango delta is nothing in front of you❤
nice that you could combine some active overt racism with also going on a safari. congrats.
Supporting a business started by a local safari guide is now “active overt racism”. Got it. 🎻🎻🎻
@@sarajabril dm me to flirt hun
@@sarajabril it wouldnt be unless u made it clear that thats why you prefered it (not local but bc of race)
U also u need to come u country Somalia to show the people how somalia is beautiful 🫶🏽🇸🇴
It’s high on the list!
You are so cute baby❤
WOW! Leopards in the wild mating. What a rare privilege you have had!
Nature is just beautiful 🤩
Sarah, I want to talk to you.
Why the specification, is Botswana's tourism industry dominated by non-blacks?
Yes, not just Botswana.
@@sarajabril 😬
Maybe she’ll move there
BLACKOWNED need to be more commonly used
Black owned? What’s the significance in a travel video? Keep the racism out of travel. Not cool!
If racism was kept out of travel, there would be more black/ locally-owned hotels in Africa.
I don't like you answer Sara, I LOVE it. 🤩🤣
