yes, absolutely, I loved the library membership as a child and we only had to pay something when we returned the books too late (I believe you could keep them for 4 weeks). That barely happend since I've been quite frugal back then already 😅
Marissa: Make sure Lasik is the best method of correction for YOUR eyes. I almost got Lasik but stumbled on to some info the ophthalmologist didn't fully discuss with me...I have very pronounced astigmatism (my eyes are shaped like un-cracked eggs) so Lasik wouldn't have corrected it much and could have actually made my vision worse. I'll be having Cataracts removed later this year; it won't get me perfect vision (nothing will) but the weight of new glasses will save my nose : ) It sounds like your vision is really poor as well so I would hate for something to possibly make it worse. My best to you Marissa : )
Having lasik gave me dry eye really bad. I’ve been living with horrible dry eye now for 15 years and my astigmatism has came back about 5 years ago, so now I can’t wear contacts because of the dry eye and I’m back to wearing glasses. I regret getting it
I had glasses starting at age 8. I had super thick lenses and was paying a fortune for contacts. 4 years ago I invested in PRK laser surgery ($3500)! BEST DECISION EVER!!!! I HIGHLY recommend looking into it! Although it was expensive it paid for itself in less than 2 years for me!
I had LASIK done in 2008, and I definitely remember the smell of my eyes being cauterized. I ended up with 20/15 vision, but my night vision was shot for 4 years before it healed. I was warned that I would need reading glasses in my 40's due to aging, but that hasn't been the case as I'm about to turn 50.

I would be really interested in recovery from emotional hoarding and how you manage the habits of a lifetime and not buying too much stuff again. How do you change for life! Do you have a video on this already please?
Hey friend, I have a video diving into hoarding disorder tomorrow, in fact, and I DO have a video on minimalist shopping - remember this has been a long process for me. 🤗
Marissa darling my tip to you is drink a can of V/8 every day and your eyes will be much better off! Personally since 1986 I've had to pay for a new pair of glasses every year at a great expense to me because my eyes get worst and worst, but now that I drink V/8 my eyes are great! I can read the finest of font easy without glasses and I'm 61 year's old baby please drink your veggies! Green smoothies are also very important but don't give up on V/8 also take V/8 ... Amazon has great deals on V/8. I get 11.5 ounce cans of V/8 for 50 cents a can on Amazon. com! God bless you and yours!
Also my son used read books and as you I never say no to a book. My stepfather had a book's shop and my son was always welcomed in it. Now he's therteen and I consider myself lucky if he still read manga ...where have I failed? Italian mom
Mine too. I got it done when I was in my early twenties, had a baby at 32 and my eyes really changed. Still way better than before the surgery but it didn't hold.

I don't think it is the age of your house that decides if it has closets or not. Houses in many (Northern) European countries have no built-in storage. They're just empty rooms. :D
@@AtoZenLife i still buy myself or others books. I like to change out bedding or decor every few years since my style is eclectic and I like to switch like you would an art museum.
Why don't you just buy (or get for free from somebody who already has a billion of these- which is basically everybody) a few jute bags? They Last forever and if they don't they can be fixed easily. Plus they look way nicer
Amazon is a terrible company though. Not to hate on you, it's just that I think that if you care about the environment and human rights, you should not give them money. There are a lot of online book stores and environmental-friendly stores for "family goods" in Germany.

I've used a brita filter for years.
Same! We were happy they also have them in Germany. ✨☺️✨ Love Brita filtered water! 💧
@@AtoZenLife That is wonderful. I would love to live abroad for a time one day and love hearing about what its like.
@@minimalzebra I totally get that! Thanks for sharing! 🙌
@@AtoZenLife Welcome!
Das Beste für die Augen sind harte Kontaktlinsen. Du solltest diese einmal testen. Aber sie sind Anfangs nicht wirklich angenehm zu tragen. Man gewöhnt sich aber daran.

@@AtoZenLife I read your mind 🤣 thank you so much.

I have a Berkey water filter and love it. Tons cheaper than a Brita. Check it out.
Also my son used read books and as you I never say no to a book. My stepfather had a book's shop and my son was always welcomed in it. Then the covid arrive in our lives and we were obliged to buy him a smartphone. He was twelve and he was the last one in his class to have it. Now he's therteen and I consider myself lucky if he still read manga ...where have I failed? Italian mom
Enjoying your videos. Please avoid saying “Oh my God” as a surprise expression. I have replaced it with a simple wow.
You need more omega 3 fats for your dry eye. I take a good quality krill oil. It saved my dry eyes. No eye medicine for me.
Hey! You sound different ( you sound younger). Also when did your hair grow so long! It suits you so well!
Oh wait! This is an older video 😅. Well you're still gorgeous but there was just a small difference!
I did LASIK and it was great but then I had kids and now I’m 20/40 which is still good compared to being 20/400. Your Bad Hat parody was amazing.
Mine too. I got it done when I was in my early twenties, had a baby at 32 and my eyes really changed. Still way better than before the surgery but it didn't hold.
@@professormustard75 darn those babies hahahaa jk! What’s funny though is my hubby got it and had 20/15 vision for a while. He was even bragging about it. But now he’s like worse than me at like 20/100 🤣🤣🤣
Me too. had lasik 15 years ago, about 6 years later My astigmatism came back so I’m back to wearing glasses, but got bad dry eye side effects and can’t even wear contacts.
@@Raec123 oh man!!!! Sorry to hear that! I was debating whether to get it again but I have to pay full price bc so much time has passed. I guess I wonder if I get it again would it just digress over time once more or would it work better this time since I’m done having babies lol
Try a Berkey water filter, even better 👏🤫🤣
I don't think it is the age of your house that decides if it has closets or not. Houses in many (Northern) European countries have no built-in storage. They're just empty rooms. :D
Fo you use the public library in Germany?
I have the same list except number 6 and 9 that don't apply to me.
Anything fun NOT on the list you would like to add? 🤔
@@AtoZenLife i still buy myself or others books. I like to change out bedding or decor every few years since my style is eclectic and I like to switch like you would an art museum.
If you have children & don't buy bulk supplies you're not frugal 💝

Why don't you just buy (or get for free from somebody who already has a billion of these- which is basically everybody) a few jute bags? They Last forever and if they don't they can be fixed easily. Plus they look way nicer
We don't use Amazon
What the heck did you say about eyeballs?
🖐🏼🙂
✨👋😆✨
Amazon is a terrible company though. Not to hate on you, it's just that I think that if you care about the environment and human rights, you should not give them money. There are a lot of online book stores and environmental-friendly stores for "family goods" in Germany.
The video can be minimized by half going straight forward to 1,2,3 ...
Amazon is an awful wasteful corporation
Ditch Prime. Not a good thing for the planet.
And you still think 🤔, you are minimalist
