- Unboxing the Huawei Nova 10 Pro, a slick Harmony OS smartphone boasting some unique camera tech, 100W fast battery charging and respectable mi-range specs. One of the standout features of this blower is the dual selfie camera. This is almost as intrusive as the iPhone 14 Pro's 'Dynamic Island' and that portrait lens zooms wayyyy in, but if you like selfies, you might like this. The Huawei Nova 10 Pro also serves up a 50MP primary cam around back, although this is without OIS.
Gaming is a smooth, satisfying experience (especially on that Twerk Battle, boy howdy) while the battery life so far seems respectable. Helped along by the energy efficiency of the Snapdragon 778G platform. Sadly, no 5G support here. Or Android apps.

I recommend Huawei mid-range rather than other android mid-range, they always deliver the goods for a budgetty price
I love the fact that this has two front facing cameras. I haven't seen that on a phone since the pixel 3 and I thought it was absolutely genius. wide shots without having to use an obnoxious selfie stick

I think Huawei should just replace most of the GMS with Microsoft alternative. It will be functional. Like translate, search, start, edge. I think It would be a great replacement
I had the Huawei P30Pro and I have to say it was one the best smartphone I've had. Without Google's services, I switched brands.

I currently have the Huawei P30 Pro as my main. Any android phones on the market which beats the P30 Pro as I haven't come across any that matches this beast. Looking for something as a backup as I am afraid of the P30 Pro giving up on me. Things that are very important to me for example long battery life, fast charging, camera and overall performance and obviously the Google Services lol. Cheers
The P30 Pro is the best phone I have ever had
Also still rocking the p30 pro. Would also say it's the best phone I've owned as of yet even though the main camera packed in a long time ago (an issue I've seen reported across the Web). I wouldn't go huawei again without Google services though... If only for Google maps and voice assistant.
@@Elky007 same here I had an issue with my camera not focusing. Tried everything to fix it even checked online and apparently its a common issue with P30 Pros. Good thing my phone is still within the warranty so I sent it off to Huawei and see if they can fix this issue. But overall no issues. If Huawei didn't get the ban I would've gone for the P40 Pro or P50 Pro. As much as I would love to I don't think I would buy a Huawei phone if there isn't any Google Services included
Hey man, I couldn't agree more! Best phone I have owned and seems as good as many top phones of today. I too have been looking now for a new phone since the summer. I thought the Pixel 6 pro was the answer and on paper I didnt like the slow charge, poor battery and no face unlock. The phone I believe will be the best match is the OPPO Find X5 but its was too expensive!
Depends on your budget mate! I had a Huawei mate 10 pro for years and loved it but moved into the Samsung world once they lost Google access. I'd say if you have less than a grand either a OnePlus 10 pro or Google pixel 7 ( pixel 7 release like next week), or a special mention for Asus ZenFone 9 if you want a small phone. Samsung s22+ is also a great option that just comes in under a grand. Over a grand either a oppo find x5 pro or s22 ultra. I'm rocking the s22 ultra and I absolutely love it, everything except the price is fantastic.
It's important to remember that new phones are gonna get released in like 3-4 months if you can wait a bit longer, OnePlus, Oppo and Samsung will all release new flagship phones in January
I have a p40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro and Google apps work perfectly fine.

Despite having the wide front camera system, it doesn't gets in the way as much as I thought, it really helps by not putting that in the middle of the screen. Apple should have done that, probably they might do it with iPhone 15 and call it an innovation.😅

Chris, harmonyOS is based on android, just the AOSP version (vanilla android) , and with no google apps

I've got the hauwei p30 Pro which has Google play store I like it but they are just to wide so looking for my next phone not bothered about apps as I'd find them though other means
I like Bing 😂 but I couldn't do without the play store even risking APK files of some apps

I just got the nova 10, there are a few irritating hickups but nothing one cant handle, I use my microsoft account as well as outlook to get my emails from gmail etc. The apps I use for work etc are on their app store. It deffinetely does not run like a 8gig ram device, more like 4.

164.2 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm is not so behemoth. Look at dimensions of a device, not at screen diagonal. Screen proportions are now very different and here you have rounded sides. Let me remind you, that old 5.5 inches in 16:9 proportion had rather over 75 mm from left to right.

Huawei has some interesting if not outstanding designs but I do find the main camera chassis of this device is interesting, it jet's out so far to the point that it looks like it doesn't belong on the phone either that or it's a drone and will fly away.
