Since you have a new TV I would connect the Series X to the TV (for best graphics) ant the TV to the Soundbar via HDMI ARC. The Soundbar will sound better via HDMI instead of Optical. Only thing is, your TV has an HDMI eARC port and your soundbar has only ARC. You will be missing out on Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and so on. If you are able to return the Soundbar and get another one, I would look into a Soundbar that has an HDMI eARC port.
If decen sound is good for you and you got the Soundbar on sale, I would keep the one you have. There is one that I personally want to try out and is at your price range with some good reviews online, is a new Vizio Soundbar model M51a-H6. Its available at Costco for $299.99. Worth checking out. I will look into some other options for you and let you know what I think would be worth considering as an alternative Soundbar. I really appreciate the sub. No I do not use Patreon or anything else for people to make "donations". Subscribing to my channel and letting other people know about my channel is good enough for me. I do appreciate the gesture though 🙏
Thank you for the update. I just bought a LG CX77 and was ready to buy this sound bar, but 4K is important to me. I will keep looking and check out the Sonos Beam or the Yamaha SN7R. Thanks for your great presentation and explanations. The best review and setup videos I've seen on RUclips.
Thank you Harry for the very kind words! Much appreciated! Sonos are really good but little pricey. I guess you can say,, you get what you pay for. Let me know which one you end up buying. I would love to know and how you like it.
Want to thank you for this video if I didn’t see your video I wouldn’t have know that I could adjust the rear speakers. They were a separate purchase for my Samsung sound bar which didn’t come with my bar. Your video was very informative thanks.
Great review. I am happy with mine, coming from a LG5.1 system (2010). Amazon had it for $399 then it dropped to $369 which i grabbed. The part with the rear speaker cable helped me a lot as i had inserted the cable in too much as i wasn't getting any sound from them.
Thank you, much appreciate the comment! It is a very good Soundbar especially after I did the firmware update which solved the issue with HDCP 2.2. Just make sure you update the firmware to the latest version. It will help.
I have 2 Samsung HWQ67ct Sound Bars and am pleased and impressed with them. Your Tutorial was excellent and informative. Thank you! I also had difficulty with the first Updates from June 2020. My Solution was to Download to my PC first, then transfer to my USB stick without putting the download into a folder and just into the root of the stick. Instant success! Today, using the same method, I successfully updated both Sound Bars with the latest December 2020 Update. No more "No Data" notices and now get the Classic notices per the Samsung web page.
Thank you for sharing that info. I will give that a try again. I did extract the zip file from the PC to my USB stick and no folders or other files on there besides the bin file that got extracted but had no luck. Interesting though when I checked for firmware update, only the June 2020 was available now there is a Nov 27 2020 update. I will try that later today and see if this one will work. Thank you for mentioning that! Appreciate you taking the time and posting that comment! Stay safe and well!
Amazing review brother DJ. Thanks for sharing. That is an awesome soundbar. Keep bringing the 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Hope you have an awesome day brother. Much love and RESPECT

Great presentation. To upgrade the FW, after you plug in the usb drive go to select on the sound bar and select usb device. At that point the FW update began to take place. I just completed the second FW update on yesterday. I purchased my sound bar in Nov 2020.
Thank you! The FW version that was available at the time of the making of this video would not install for me and for a lot of other people until they came out with a newer version which worked right away.
I have a q67ct sound bar I got it last November worked great for a couple of months now I can't get it to work now it says not available then it shows TV speakers I've checked all the connections but it won't work can you tell me what could be wrong tks
First thing I would try is disconnecting the soundbar from the TV and from the power outlet. Wait a couple of minutes and connect it back to the TV and to the power outlet. 2nd, try using a different HDMI cable. 3rd, turn off the soundbar and then press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the display shows "INIT OK". Then turn on the soundbar. Also make sure you install any available firmware updates for the soundbar. Let me know how it goes.
@@DJsTutorials Hooked it up 2 days ago. Love the sound from the sound bar/subwoofer/speakers. Perfect for a bedroom. Probably buying another for the Master BR..
Thank you! It all depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for a soundbar that is 5.1, 3.1? Do you want it to have HDMI inputs on it and how many. Will you consider spending a little more like $500+? How new is you Vizio TV? Does it have HDCP 2.2 or 2.3? If you get a soundbar the has 4K passthrough and are planning to use one of the HDMI ports for 4K content the HDCP version needs to match with the TV otherwise it won't play 4K content.
@@DJsTutorials it pretty new new 2019-2020 I use hdmi to connect my old sound bar which is a vizio sound bar with a sub and two small speakers . It’s weird though the small speakers only work on somethings . I was looking at and really like the jbl bar 5.1.
The JBL 5.1 with the wireless rear speakers? That is a nice Soundbar but it's $500. Little over the price range you said. For the old Vizio did you check to see if they have any new firmware updates? That may solve some problems sometimes
I really appreciate this video, I was having issues setting it up. I actually just bought this sound bar, though it sounds nice, I notice the video quality from my ps4 is downgraded. Can I bypass the HDMI connections and just use the fiber optic connection for audio?
Not if you are using the HDMI on the Soundbar for the picture. You will need to connect the PS4 to an HDMI on your TV and use the HDMI ARC or Optical (if not ARC port available) for the sound.
Hey man got this same soundbar as a gift but Im trying to use it with my pc via hdmi, but it doesn't recognize it as a 7.1 system. Any help on what I can do to get the best experience?
I assume you mean you are using the HDMI cable from the monitor out of your graphics card to the soundbar and from the soundbar to the monitor correct? Are you getting any sound out of the soundbar or it just recognizes it as a 5.1 or just stereo?
This soundbar cannot accept LPCM (unlike most soundbars). PCs only output LPCM audio and not bitstream like DTS or Dolby. I was pretty disappointed when I learned this. You could try buying a sound card for your PC... which isn't the cheapest thing for 7.1. Unless there was / will be a firmware update, that allows PCM. But I doubt it.
It depends on which Vizo model you are talking about. If you are comparing this soundbar with the M-Series M512a-H6 Dolby Atmos soundbar then no. The Vizio will be a better choice. With that said, if your TV does not have an HDMI eARC port, you will not be able to fully enjoy Dolby Atmos unless you connect a streaming device like Apple TV, Fire TV 4K Max, or Blue-Ray player to the HDMI IN of the soundbar. If no HDMI eARC port on your TV, then either one will work good for you with the difference the M-Series will be ready if you decide to upgrade your TV in the future (eARC).
DJ my HD Sharp LC80LE642U TV doesn't not have ARC noticed on the connection labeling . It has 4 HDMI connection. Do you think this will work?? Great Video by the way
Yes it will work but you will need to use the Optical cable since you do not have an HDMI ARC port on your TV. If you connect anything to the Soundbar's HDMI input like a Fire Stick or Blu-ray player then you can use the HDMI ARC output from the Soundbar and connect it to any available HDMI port on your TV.
Hello - How can I connect this to my Firestick and my VIVITEK Projector with this surround sounds system? When connected my firestick to the projector, I only have sounds from the projector. Please help !!
Depends on how far the Soundbar is going to be from the Module. You can try it and see if the Blue LED Link light stays on or if it looses it connection with the Soundbar.
Hello, I have a Samsung QLED with [arc]. In the settings I have PCM, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. Will I have any problems receiving 7.1 channels with Samsung HW-Q67CT and should I be looking for a soundbar that supports Dolby Digital +? Will Dolby Atmos work with this television? Thank you, great video.
The Q67CT will work well with your TV but you will not get Dolby Atmos with this Soundbar. All you will get is the 5.1 surround sound. In order to get Dolby Atmos you will need to get a soundbar that is 5.1.2 or 5.1.4 Now since your TV has HDMI ARC you will only get the Dolby Digital + not the true Dolby Atmos (Dolby TrueHD). You will need to have a TV & Soundbar that has an HDMI eARC connection. If you are using a Blue-ray player or a streaming device (Fire Stick 4K, Roku, Nvidia Shield) you will get the best sound quality if you connect it to the soundbar directly instead of the TV. So you will need to look for a soundbar that has an HDMI input and 4K Passthrough.
Did you double check that the wires are not all the way in where the jacket is on the connector? Because the wire is so thin, if you place it to far in, the connector grabs the jacket of the wire and not the actual wire. Check that first. If that is not the case, I will recommend calling Samsung support.
If you purchase the surround speakers (SWA-8500S) it will sound a little better than the Q67CT since the Q60 has a little more power the the Q67CT but also costs $129.99 more than the Q67CT if you get the rear speakers. Now if you already own the Q60 then it will be worth the $129 if you want to get the surround experience. The Yamaha YAS 209 is a great 2.1 Soundbar but it does not offer an option to add surround speakers. So it all comes down to what are you looking for and how much you want to spend. If you are looking for just a soundbar and don't care for the surround speakers the Yamaha will be a better choice. The subwoofer I think is better and more powerful than the Q60/67CT and also offers a Clear Voice/Dialogue setting where the Q60/67CT do not. If you are looking for a surround sound system then the Q67CT will be a good choice but if you are planning to use the HDMI input on the soundbar to play 4K movies then the Q60 will be better since it has HDCP 2.2 where the Q67CT is only 2.1 (at the time of my review) and won't allow 4K to play through the soundbar. Also the Q60 has an additional sound mode (Adaptive) and the subwoofer is a little more powerful. If you are looking for a soundbar that won't break the bank and offer a decent surround sound experience the Vizio V-Series is something you may want to check. It's only $199.99 at the time I'm writing this. Just a thought.
@@DJsTutorials hello thank you for your time to answer. I am from India and we have here T670(q67ct model) 460 watt. And Q60T which is 360 watt. The additional surround system sw8500s not available in India for sale so I have to get from USA which cost 129 usd. If you can help me please check samsung India website for T670. please guide me. I am confused between yamaha 208,Q60T and T670. Does the surround speaker in samsung has enough punch?
The 460 watts that they claim is total wattage for the Soundbar, Subwoofer, & Surround Speakers combined together. The surround speakers do make a difference and they are loud enough and do sound good. Like I said before it all comes down to what you are looking for. If you just want the soundbar and no surround speakers the Yamaha will be a better choice. If you are lookin for a soundbar and surround speakers the T670 (Q67CT) will work just fine for you. Also, the Yamaha supports Alexa which both the Samsung do not support any home assistant (if that is also something you want).
@@DJsTutorials I am not concern about alexa. I am concern about the sound quality mids, highs and low. If I choose T670 is it sound better than Yamaha? What do you think about Acoustic beam?
Quick question DJ (apologies if you covered this in the video and I missed it): Is this sound bar essentially a Samsung Q60T plus a rear speaker kit like the SWA-8500S? Is there any way to tell for sure which rear speaker kit this is?
Hey Chris. The rear Speakers are the SWA-8500 but the soundbar is like the Q60T but the Q67CT is a little less powerful and the subwoofer is a bit smaller than the Q60T (6" instead of an 6.5"). Now with the Q67CT you get the whole package at once instead of the soundbar plus rear speaker kit. Now one thing to keep in mind if you are in the market for a soundbar, neither one of them supports Dolby Atmos. Not sure if that is something you are looking for in a soundbar or not, but figured I should mention it.
So if I plug firestick 4k to the TV and use optical out from TV to this soundbar, what am I compromising? I thought I would still play 4k and get sound bar woking.
If you are referring to the HDCP part of the video that I talked about being 2.1 and not 2.2, first that is no longer the case since they updated it to HDCP 2.2 with a firmware update. Second, that only applied if you connected the Fire Stick 4K to the HDMI input of the soundbar. If you connect the Fire TV 4K to an HDMI port on your TV, you can still use the HDMI ARC connection from your TV to the soundbar for audio. No need to use an Optical connection.
Thanks for the video. One question the settings and the the sound mode button on my controller doesn't do anything only shows TVARC on the display window any ideas on what can it be?
Sound is coming out of the sound bar but not out of the rear speakers or the subwoofer, the lights on both is just a blue and not flashing. What does this mean?
Make sure that the Woofer volume is not turned all the way down and the Surround Speakers are not turned off (don't mean volume level but check that also) in the Sound Control Settings. Make sure that they both are not to far from the soundbar, 30 ft max with no obstacles in between them. Also, check the Audio Output Settings of your TV. If set to PCM change it to Dolby Digital or Bitstream. Test the soundbar using a USB drive that has an MP3 file or a streaming device (Fire Stick, Roku) to see if the woofer and surround speakers work. Let me know how it goes.
@@DJsTutorials Thank you DJ I am asking that question. They have a radio piece that hooks up to bluetooth speakers by an Aux input cord I was wondering does this have an Aux cord or output -input cord?
I purchased the sound bar 2 weeks ago. My Samsung TV was purchased 6 years ago, however, it has a ARC HDMI port. After connecting the 2 ARC ports I have great sound. The problem is, when I shut down the TV and turn it back on the source changes on it's own. to eliminate the switching I had to use an audio cable between the sound bar and TV. I too, can not update the firmware. Samsung wants me to send the entire system to them for repair. Not sure I want to do that. I need help! Dick Sciolto
You may be better off sending it to Samsung for repair or just bring it back to where you bought it and get another one hopefully without the same issues. I had to wait for the next firmware version to come out and that one I was able to install with no problems.
Unless one of the firmware updates the soundbar to HDCP 2.2, you either will get 1080p or in some cases no video at all. Now if your TV is HDCP 2.2, I would connect the ps5 to the TV. Another choice but not a cheap one is to get a HDCP 2.2 splitter like the HDFury Integral
Hello, I am getting this on discount for $200. Do you think this is good buy or should I wait for some dolby atoms sound bar. Vizio sb36514-g6 is $350 at Costco. Can you please suggest ? Thank you.
For $200 that would be a good buy but I would go for the Vizio SB36514-G6. It offers Dolby Atmos, more sound customization settings, Wi-Fi & Ethernet connectivity, Google Chromecast Streaming, Google Assistant, and you can also download the Vizio SmartCast app which offers more setting adjustments. The Vizio will be a better choice and not that expensive for a Dolby Atmos Soundbar (which you will not find from any other brand for that price).
I don’t believe this. You actually replied after all this months. Thank you so much for replying. You made my choice so much simpler… You are earning my sub…@@DJsTutorials
Nice review. Few question- If I connect my ps4pro/ps5 console to tv arc port and from tv to soundbar, I will have hdcp 2.2 and play 4k games, correct? In that case any sound drop can happen due to not connected directly to soundbar? Also how the overall sound quality compared to Q60T soundbar. I am confused between these two, I know Q60t doesn't come with wireless kit included but wanted to know sound qualuity/loudness/bass response compare to Q67CT. Any help will be really appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you. No it would not work that way. If you connect your ps5 to the TV ARC port you will need to use the Optical connection for sound. Now depending on how new or old your TV is, some have only 1 HDMI port that supports 4K and others all are 4K and HDCP 2.2 so depending on your TV I would recommend checking with your manufacturer to see which one or ones are HDCP 2.2 and take it from there.
@@DJsTutorials Thanks for your prompt response. I wrote it incorrectly, currently my ps4pro connected to tv hdmi input(4k hdcp2.2). I want to keep that intact and would like to connect hdmi cable from tv arc to soundbar arc then I don't think I need to worry about hdcp 2.2 or even 4k passthough/hdr. Because I don't need to use soundbar hdmi input port and I have Samsung 4k SUHD tv KS7000 with 3hdmi.Correct me if I am wrong. Also can you please share some light between performance of Q60T and Q67CT.
Yes that setup would work fine. The Q60 will be a little better than the Q67. It add a little more power, an additional sound mode, and a bigger subwoofer which will produce a deeper bass. But it does not come with the surround speakers which will add to the total price. Not sure if that would be worth the extra cost.

BTW, just swap the 120V no polarity power cord with another device you may have purchased over the past few years and it will eliminate the cord propping up the module off its base. It looks like they standardized on the cord that goes into the back of the TV sets that fits into the slot of the back plastic panel . Good Luck BC

@@WestCoastShredders The Samsung soundbar will work just fine. The TV that you have is a good TV but both (TV & soundbar) only have HDMI ARC which can only output compressed 5.1 and that's where they top out. In order to get uncompressed 5.1 or 7.1 and high Bitrate (like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X) you will need a TV AND Soundbar with HDMI eARC / HDMI 2.1. Even if you got a Soundbar that has HDMI eARC which is backwards compatible with ARC you will not be able to passthrough 4K video because eARC comes with HDCP 2.3 which is not backwards compatible.
The Q67CT soundbar would work just fine with your QLED Q70R TV. You should be able to use Q-Symphony with it for better surround sound experience. Now it also comes down to your budget. Samsung does have better sound bars than this one but a lot more expensive.
@@DJsTutorials Yeah, for me it's just with budget on it, plus I've heard the sound of the soundbar and speaker set in person, which it sounds really good considering🙂😎👍, and also, as you said it's original price was $499.99, but now it's on sale for $279.99 for Black Friday😎🙂👍
I believe you are talking about the part that I said that it has HDCP 2.0 instead of 2.1 which will not allow you to play 4K content through a device connected to the soundbar. That has been updated via firmware and now it supports HDCP 2.1. This will not affect you plus you will want to connect the PS 5 to your TV directly if you want the best picture quality but if sound is more important the you can connect it to the soundbar.
I tried one more time with Samsung to download the latest firmware which is 1005.2. After half day of crap they finally admitted there's something wrong. They asked me to send the bar back for repair at no cost. I'll keep you updated.
That's the worst part of buying something new and bringing it home to find out it doesn't work! You will be better off in the end sending it back to them and have them repair it. The only part that sucks about that is no soundbar for a few weeks. But then you will have a good working soundbar. Let me know what you decide to do.
How are you connecting the soundbar to the TV? Are you using and HDMI or Optical connection? If you are using and HDMI cable, does your TV have an HDMI ARC port?
I saw you also reviewed the Vizio V51 soundbar. Albeit at very different price points, $350 vs $200, how would you compare the two soundbar systems sound quality. I understand one has a HDMI input (Samsung) vs the Vizio that does not, so just from a sound perspective, perhaps a 1-10 rating for each system?
I found the Vizio sounded better than the Samsung because it had a couple extra sound adjustments (like Dialogue Level) where the Samsung does not. The Samsung may have more power than the Vizio but with the extra sound adjustments that the Vizio has, in my opinion sounded better. The Samsung on the other hand produced more bass from both the soundbar and subwoofer. I would give the Vizio an 8 out of 10 and the Samsung a 6 out of 10.
At regular price I would not recommend. If you can find it on sale then yes. Also, if the you don't need an HDMI input on the Soundbar then there are other ones out there for the same or lesser price that will sound good. It all depends on what you need for inputs and what you want for options.
Try this. Turn off the soundbar. Once it's off, push up and hold down the WOOFER button for 5 seconds until you see OFF-TV REMOTE. Give that a try and let me know
Well that will be more of a personal preference than a "best" setting. With that said, raising the bass and treble all the way up to the max will not be the best option. Depending on which sound mode you are using will also make a difference in the sound and also what you are watching. Movies, a TV show or the news. Also, how far is the soundbar from your listening area, where did you place the subwoofer (next to the TV, by the couch, in the corner of the room) and how far, and lastly, how close are the rear surround speakers and did you adjust the rear speaker levels. I would recommend playing a movie, set the sound mode to "Surround" and then adjust the level of the subwoofer, the bass and treble a little at a time. If the surround speakers are not that loud, adjust those too but don't max them out to the point you hear the rear speakers more than the sound coming from the soundbar. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions.
I take it that you already checked the batteries and replaced them with new ones. There could be an electronic glitch in the remote. You can try doing this to see if it fixes the issue. 1. Take the batteries out of the remote. 2. Press and hold any button on the remote for 20 seconds. 3. Reinsert the batteries and see if the remote works. Let me know if this works.
@@DJsTutorials nothing changed. I noticed in your video when you're adjusting the sound mode, the display returns to saying HDMI and not TV ARC. I wonder if my issue has something to do with the Samsung One Connect on my TV
@@DJsTutorials just tried the soundbar on one of my other Samsung tvs and both menus worked just fine. Plugged it back in to the original TV I was having issues with and now the menus both work just fine. WEIRD!
For some reason I can't get audio from my TV to come through the sound bar. I've got them both connected through the ARC HDMI connection ports. Idk what the issue is anymore, SOS!!!!
Make sure CEC (depending on your TV brand it may be called: Anynet+, SimpLink, Bravia Link) is Enabled in your TV settings and also that you selected HDMI ARC as your Audio Output in the TV Audio Settings. Now I personally had an issue with not getting any sound coming from the the soundbar and the cause of the problem was an HDMI Cable from a 5 port HDMI Switch that I had connected to another HDMI port on the TV. If you have anything else connected to another HDMI port, disconnect it and see if that makes the soundbar work.
If you are trying to link the satellite speakers to the soundbar, in the back of the Receiver Module you will see a pin hole that says ID SET. Use a pen or a pin to push down in there for 5 seconds or so until the LINK LED in the front of the Module blinks (it will be a Blue color). Grab your remote nd hold the up button on the directional pad for 5 seconds or more until you see ID SET appear on the display of the soundbar and then it disappears. The soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. Check the LINK LED on the Receiver Module to see if it's a solid blue. If yes then that connection is complete.
@@DJsTutorials I did exactly that, as the instruction said, the red light came on for five seconds, after pushing the up button, nothing happened, Thank you for your answer though. I will just have to keep playing with it.

Installed sound bar it was working Bluetooth and hdmi arc now it has no sound through hdmi or Bluetooth volume control isn’t working. Updated to newest firmware.
7.1 is not the same as Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos would be when the numbers are: 5.1.2 - 7.1.2 5.1.4, etc. It needs that last 3rd number not just the 7.1
If you are referring about the HDCP version if it gets upgraded to from HDCP 2.1 to HDCP 2.2 the answer is yes. Not sure when was the last update you got but the latest one they have now is from Mar 3rd 2021 version 1005.2
I haven't tried connecting the Soundbar to the SmartThings app. According to Samsung's product description page, they do show the SmartThings app as an available app to use with the Soundbar.
Yes which it not totally true. They use it as wireless from the Soundbar which is true but still wired to the receiver module which makes it not a true wireless system.
You can do that by pressing the Settings button on the remote until you see on the screen Rear Level and then use the Up on the Directional pad to increase the volume.
It's in the way they word it. They say it's wireless but what they should of said is wireless from the soundbar but wired to the receiver module. Definitely misleading isn't it!
@@DJsTutorials thanks for the reply. I got it for my mother and we tried to set it up and wasn’t ready for mounting them on the wall lol. Also the wires are kind of short for her place. Definitely regret not doing my homework. Wished I saw this video before I bought it.
You are welcome Bt Torre! Not to many soundbars offer true wireless rear speakers and the ones that do, they are a little pricey like the JBL Bar 9.1 soundbar that goes for only $1199.9 but the rear speakers a completely wire free. Not even a power cord connects to them! You could add more speaker wire if you wanted to extend the length of the wire but not sure if your mother will be ok with all the speaker wire going across the room which a lot of people are not ok with.
Yes this is a 7.1 soundbar. When I said 2.1 in the beginning of the video, it was part of "what people should look for when buying a soundbar" and "if they are only looking for better sound than the sound of their TV speakers , then a 2.1 or 2.0 will do". Just a misunderstanding of what I said and how I said it.
Sound testing through a RUclips video will not do any justice to the Soundbars actual sound quality. It will not sound good and the best you will get is Stereo Sound and not surround sound sample. I do appreciate your feedback though. I will keep that in mind for my next Soundbar review.
The HDCP version of the Soundbar has been updated to HDCP 2.2 according to Samsung.
@Justin Hensley You could but if you have a newer TV (2019 and up) you may want to connect it to the TV to get the best possible picture quality.

It has 4K pass through and arc anyways so that reasoning doesn’t make any sense.
Want to thank you for this video if I didn’t see your video I wouldn’t have know that I could adjust the rear speakers. They were a separate purchase for my Samsung sound bar which didn’t come with my bar. Your video was very informative thanks.
You're very welcome! Glad I could help! Much appreciate the comment!
Got mine for $200 reconditioned with a 2-year warranty on eBay. Definitely satisfied for that price point

By far the best detail explanation to each step. Thank you!
Thank you! Appreciate the kind comment!
Excellent video. Thank you. Just purchased it yesterday for a bedroom.
Thank you! I'm sure you will be happy with your new Soundbar!
@@DJsTutorials Hooked it up 2 days ago. Love the sound from the sound bar/subwoofer/speakers. Perfect for a bedroom. Probably buying another for the Master BR..

Great video man thanks ! What sound bar to suggest for midrange price 300-400 bucks .. I have a PS5 and Vizio quantum.
@@DJsTutorials I’ll check that out . And yea I know . I found one on Amazon open box for 429 tho which isn’t bad . My buddy has the 9.1 and loves it
$429 is not a bad price! Now for the 9.1 you are talking big bucks but yeah! That it a great soundbar!
This its better thab the vizio dolby atmos etc sound bar in this same prize range??
@@DJsTutorials thanks
Hello - How can I connect this to my Firestick and my VIVITEK Projector with this surround sounds system? When connected my firestick to the projector, I only have sounds from the projector. Please help !!
Hi Wailen65. You need to connect the Fire Stick to the Soundbar and the Soundbar to your projector.
Can you plug the module behind the couch?
Hey i cant for the live of me get the rear speakers to connect. I have hit the pair button on the rear speakers tower and it and it wont connect
Did you double check that the wires are not all the way in where the jacket is on the connector? Because the wire is so thin, if you place it to far in, the connector grabs the jacket of the wire and not the actual wire. Check that first. If that is not the case, I will recommend calling Samsung support.
If I purchase additional Surround speaker and connect to Q60T does it sound better than Q67CT? What do you think about Yamaha Yas 209?
Yamaha will be better then for you. For the Samsung Acoustic Beam I haven't used or heard one so I can not give you an opinion on that.
Quick question DJ (apologies if you covered this in the video and I missed it):
Is this sound bar essentially a Samsung Q60T plus a rear speaker kit like the SWA-8500S?
Correction in my previous answer. The Q60T has only 360W of total power and the Q67CT has 450W of total power. Typed it wrong earlier, my bad Chris.
Try disconnecting the power plug from the soundbar for a few seconds and plug it back in. Let me know if that helps.
my previous vizio sounded awfull for dialog voice tracks hows the dialog tone quality on this unit is it deep base ?
It's not to bad but I've heard better ones. Like the LG SN8YG or even the Vizio V51-H6 sounded better in my opinion.
Sound is coming out of the sound bar but not out of the rear speakers or the subwoofer, the lights on both is just a blue and not flashing. What does this mean?
I have it connected using an optical cable
Make sure that the Woofer volume is not turned all the way down and the Surround Speakers are not turned off (don't mean volume level but check that also) in the Sound Control Settings. Make sure that they both are not to far from the soundbar, 30 ft max with no obstacles in between them. Also, check the Audio Output Settings of your TV. If set to PCM change it to Dolby Digital or Bitstream. Test the soundbar using a USB drive that has an MP3 file or a streaming device (Fire Stick, Roku) to see if the woofer and surround speakers work. Let me know how it goes.
Do the back speakers have Dolby Atmos?
No they do not. This soundbar does not support Dolby Atmos.
I was wondering does this have bluetooth that can connect to my phone instead of my television and my SiriusXM radio piece?
Yes it does have Bluetooth and it can connect to your phone. Not sure if you are asking if you can pair your SiriusXM to the Soundbar?
@@DJsTutorials Thank you DJ I am asking that question. They have a radio piece that hooks up to bluetooth speakers by an Aux input cord I was wondering does this have an Aux cord or output -input cord?
No the Samsung Soundbar does not have an AUX input.
So, since the hdmi is 2.1 my ps5 won't play true 4k because it's 2.2? Help!

Nice review. Few question- If I connect my ps4pro/ps5 console to tv arc port and from tv to soundbar, I will have hdcp 2.2 and play 4k games, correct?

Hey👋🙂, had another question, when you said the Soundbar can interfere with 4K for the use and sound , does that apply to the Playstation 5 as well?
I believe you are talking about the part that I said that it has HDCP 2.0 instead of 2.1 which will not allow you to play 4K content through a device connected to the soundbar. That has been updated via firmware and now it supports HDCP 2.1. This will not affect you plus you will want to connect the PS 5 to your TV directly if you want the best picture quality but if sound is more important the you can connect it to the soundbar.
@@DJsTutorials So if Directly into the TV for the PS5 for picture, will the Soundbar still sound very effective?
Yes it will sound good
I tried one more time with Samsung to download the latest firmware which is 1005.2.
Does this item work for onn tv ? I bought the onn tv from Walmart and already had the sound bar. And I can’t connect , any advice bro?
So, if I am just looking to play Blu-Rays would this be the way to go?
At regular price I would not recommend. If you can find it on sale then yes. Also, if the you don't need an HDMI input on the Soundbar then there are other ones out there for the same or lesser price that will sound good. It all depends on what you need for inputs and what you want for options.
how do you connect the remote
Try this. Turn off the soundbar. Once it's off, push up and hold down the WOOFER button for 5 seconds until you see OFF-TV REMOTE. Give that a try and let me know
what setting in bass and treble u use for best sound
Anytime I press the sound mode or settings button on the soundbar remote, the display just says "TV ARC" and nothing happens. Any ideas?
Did it just stop working or never did from the beginning once you connected it to the TV?
@@DJsTutorials never worked.
You had your hand covering up the controls so we couldn’t see which button you were pushing, I was interested in connecting the satellite speakers.

Did that happen right after you installed the new firmware update or before you updated the firmware?
@@DJsTutorials before. Brand new unit it worked for about 2 hours then stopped. I’m just gonna go return and get a new one I messed with it for hours.
That's probably your best solution. Brand new, you shouldn't have issues like that.
When I enable dolby atmos on my TV I get no audio....does anyone know why..this is supposed to be 7.1
7.1 is not the same as Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos would be when the numbers are: 5.1.2 - 7.1.2 5.1.4, etc. It needs that last 3rd number not just the 7.1
@@DJsTutorials thanks a lot
You're welcome
Any updates for 2021 Firmware
If you are referring about the HDCP version if it gets upgraded to from HDCP 2.1 to HDCP 2.2 the answer is yes. Not sure when was the last update you got but the latest one they have now is from Mar 3rd 2021 version 1005.2
@@DJsTutorials Do the speakers still cut off when playing ?
@@DJsTutorials and does it connect to the SmartThings app now?
I haven't tried connecting the Soundbar to the SmartThings app. According to Samsung's product description page, they do show the SmartThings app as an available app to use with the Soundbar.
@@DJsTutorials thank you! 🙌🏼
Does it have Bluetooth
Yes it does.
Awesome job
Thank you! Appreciate it.
I thought it say the rear speakers were wireless?
Yes which it not totally true. They use it as wireless from the Soundbar which is true but still wired to the receiver module which makes it not a true wireless system.
Would you say it’s worth it for $200?
For that price definitely worth it.
How do I turn up the back speakers
You can do that by pressing the Settings button on the remote until you see on the screen Rear Level and then use the Up on the Directional pad to increase the volume.
There is another setting right after the one that turns off the rear speakers that increases or decreases the volume.
Can you hook up Bass shakers to this unit?
Even if you could I don't think it will work properly. Can't adjust the LPF to 80 Hz or below.
My sub looks like the one from the box, was wondering that
And you got the HW-Q67CT model? Nice!
Anyone else have issues with the screen in the sound bar not working
In my experience, the cable was meant to hang over the edge of a table.
Sandbar remote control does not work, can not connect or pair to subwoofer and rear speakers
I thought the speakers were wireless.
This is a 7.1 surround sound not 2.1
Yes this is a 7.1 soundbar. When I said 2.1 in the beginning of the video, it was part of "what people should look for when buying a soundbar" and "if they are only looking for better sound than the sound of their TV speakers , then a 2.1 or 2.0 will do". Just a misunderstanding of what I said and how I said it.
Over 30 mins of no sound testing review disliked
Sound testing through a RUclips video will not do any justice to the Soundbars actual sound quality. It will not sound good and the best you will get is Stereo Sound and not surround sound sample. I do appreciate your feedback though. I will keep that in mind for my next Soundbar review.
