was just using pva bags casting to new spots each cast trying to avoid bream and find carp but they keep finding it be changing to singles and boilies around spot next time I go there 👍

@jack-je4mk Yeah, that was my mistake, too, at the beginning. I had a few solid bags pre tied and cast them out 2 min.I had a bream. Tried 2 more times and within a minute both times went with a bream again.
I've never used pellets again. Go with boilies, tigers, maize/corn.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Always when I go down to Badshot Lea Big Pond, I take my time to look around, and even if I find my swim, where is the fish, I will still look for signs. It happened to me many times that I found a few fish and after I moved because I saw more fish activity somewhere else.

Sadly, it is never guaranteed that we catch, but if we put the effort in it, then the reward will be much sweeter.😁

I would definitely avoid putting out pellets. The reason is there is too much bream/catfish in the lake and and pellets are like magnets for breams^^ " particles/ tigernuts/boilies was my approach all the time sometimes only boilies.

and also solid bag can be good but that is also like 50-50% that you catch a few bream before you catch a carp.
