  • Binary stars are some of the most important stars to study, as they are the gateway to astrophysics. We can determine their masses and we can determine many other things about them. So, here we chat more about spectroscopic and eclipsing binaries, and how a planet about the size of Earth was found orbiting the star nearest to the Sun. This is part of my complete intro Astronomy class that I taught at Willam Paterson University and CUNY Hunter.

These courses are great 👍 I would like to hear some more cutting edge stuff because I bet there are some topics that you want to talk about but haven’t because they are either fringe or not studied enough yet. Please add some high end stuff for us nerds 😮❤🎉

Why is the nearest star to us Proxima Centauri B is so farther away from us? Do astronomers also work on this i e. Evolution of spatial position of celestial objects as a result of big bang? Any paper resources you can refer me to where they study and form similar theories based on observations? Thanks
