Just started driving for Uber, sorry I didn't see your referral link before. I am especially glad to of happen upon this video. Simple driver is real impressive, best saleman ever. I feel that if I watched this video 50 times my life would benefit greatly. Thanks simple driver!
You are great and your content is so valuable. I’m an Uber driver signed up for a couple of years now. Recently, I’ve started driving more to support myself (I’m an artist to my core-classically trained vocalist, actor and model) so this video is very useful at this time in my life. Thanks so much for your contribution! Big fan here. 🤗👍
Misschelle Nicole Thanks. Wow, you are SUPER talented. I’m glad you came across this video. It will truly help you blow up. Save some show tickets for me when you do 😃
In America it’s all about hustle. You get what you put in. Calvin, thank you for making this video. There are thousands of hustlers making a lot of money wearing regular clothes and driving regular cars and remaining anonymous. Calvin da man
I work sales as my full time job and just started ride sharing in October. I don’t have a website but I have been building ways to use both resources to increase revenue streams. I probably give out 5-10 referral codes a day so if even 1 of those activates I’m making an extra $200/month. Can’t wait to start expanding with more ideas. Your videos are great!
Your return with this video is perfect timing! I was really getting discouraged with Uber. This is very motivating and uplifting. God bless and thanks again. I will keep you informed of my progress.
I've written 2 books on marketing and he's spot on. It's not about the hourly, but what you can turn it into. The website idea is great, gonna "steal" that one and go for some affiliate money. If you give good service, they will use you over and over. Once you learn where the "quality" rides are, never look back. Thanks, Calvin I see an Uber bootcamp in the future, Atlanta and great spot for one,.
@@johnpierson2737 Yes Exactly! As time goes by so does society and what and how people do things so To accommodate that business models must adapt to society as well
Wow! I'll even say it backwards...WOW! Thank you so much for your insight. I started with Uber in April 2018 but only did one drive because I was not exactly sure of all the rules and regulations. I also didn't want to go driving without some kind of training and your videos are a treasure. I ran into a fellow driver at a local car wash who informed me that in order to drop and pick people up at the SFO, Oakland and San Jose airports, I would have to have a "Green placard" displayed in my windshield allowing me access as an Uber driver. I was not notified about this when I signed up. So, now I have the placard and am wondering what other things I need to know related to driving for Uber or Lyft. I just don't want to get a citation for something I was unaware of. Again, your videos are at least a start to making money. I know each city has their own regulations that you are unable to address but I still appreciate your candor and professionalism as well as insight. $10,000 a month is a lot of money though. All I can say is "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Blessings Bro...
Great I formation. I’ve only been driving for two weeks and I’m glad I decided to look on RUclips for help. I am about to put all your tips to good use! Thanks
I want to say you really put a lot into this. Thank you so much for your insight and ideas. I am in the same industry as you but with an instructional design and training development aspect. Keep doing what you are doing and again thanks.
Calvin, I just wanted to say thank you, while I understand not everything in the video will apply to everyone’s particular situation, but this video has given me some practical ideas for how to take my Uber career to the next level. It’s also changed the way I look at each ride in itself. The fact that drivers don’t have their social media accounts posted on the headrest behind them is now baffling to me, and simple qr codes could make it very simple for someone to just scan and get info on everything else you do as an individual outside of driving, thank you for opening my mind to the possibilities you’ve def earned my subscription
Thank you....I'm not making $10,000 a month but when I state to people that I am making five to six thousand easily they don't believe until I show my weekly deposits.... I don't push the referrals. But in the Chicago area truthfully you really don't need to.
Ask a real uber driver who drives 12 hours per day if this video makes any sense . It definitely makes sense to motivate you and use his promo code /signup code .
I'm a real Uber driver and this does make sense but, I wonder how the average uber driver can ever find or make the time to build and publish moneygeneratimg website content, promotional material, generate traffic, or build market share when he or she is driving 7 to 10 hours a day!? His estimate is $60 an hour driving Uber! This is patently absurd and brings *everything* else he says into question! Maybe in large Metro areas not yet saturated with Uber/Lyft and other rideshare driver services, you could *possibly* make this kind of money; but, seriously? If $60 an hour every day, seven days a week were possible, your dog's Mama and all her friends would be driving Uber!!
@@jeremy49988 With mortgages setting us back, on average, $550,000 somehow i don't think $12 an hour BEFORE DEPRECIATION, FUEL, FINANCE, TAX, INSURANCE, MAINTENANCE AND OTHER COSTS will be even nearly enough to break even.
@@TrueLoveNetwork I'm certainly not disagreeing with that. If I earn 12 an hour before costs, I'm lucky to earn 8 after, and, that's not accounting for the fact that I do almost all my own repairs. I made a spreadsheet to track expenses, and so far I have spent about 24 cents per mile on depreciation, fuel, the additional insurance to do ride share, and maintenance. BUT, I wonder how much that would change if I looked up all the labor times, and calculated it based on paying myself the labor at the going rate? I really need to do that and see where I am at. I've earned anywhere from about 7 an hour after costs to 23 on a really good day.
Calvin, you are a maestro! Your tips not only gave me the confidence to get started, but broke down the numbers to help me get my hustle on! Thank you!!!
I’m def about to watch all your videos this weekend . I’m seriously trying to learn of ways to create passive income . I hate working for others . Love learning . Plus your voice sound like you not playing at all.
Great video. I never imagined you could use Uber to generate so many side hustles. Way to go Calvin, some people just see the negatives, glad you saw the positives and ran with it......
So many non thinking, non business savy drivers going on strike in May 2019 cause they dont make enough as employees in a union. Yet, theres so much opportunity to make money by literally using rideshare as a vehicle to carry passengers into your own businesses. All one has to do is literally copy his every word and make their own business name. Boom, boom, pow
People downplay things that they won't do or haven't been able to do due to their own laziness or ineptitude. I applaud this guy's hard work, conviction and energy.
Hey bro i love your vids i live in new york city i just resently got my drivers license on oct 27 just upgraded it to class E this week u honestly inspired me to do what you say on this vid hopefully i can work for uber im just a little lost about the tlc
But i have a guestion u might know can i get my tlc license even though i dont have a year with my regular license i called tlc they said no but i dont trust them since if i get declind i dont get my money back maybe some1 knows better
Khgamer32 I also live in NY and i work with both Uber and Lyft. To answer your question, it doesn't matter how much time you have with your license. You can literally start the TLC process the same day you obtain your license and also switched it to E class. The only problem that you will encounter however, is that some insurances wont want to rent you nor lease-to-own you a car with a regular license that's less than 3 years old. So you're going to have to go to different leasing companies to see if someone will allow you to rent or lease-to-own. (I don't recommend lease-to-own because is a 3 year contract, paying $400-$500 weekly, that you can't break unless you pay over $2,000 in fees) You have 4 other options however. You can buy or finance a cab car of your choice directly from the dealer (but you would need good credit and a down payment). You can go on craigslist and find someone who rents cab cars privately (Their insurance will take you easier than an agency's). What you can also do is if you have a friend who already owns a cab car, is financing it, or is leasing to own, they can put you under their insurance and you can share their vehicle. The last thing you can do is wait out the 3 years and try again after. Sorry for the essay, but I hope this helps you. Good luck bro
SagacityX3 oh thanks bro u answered all my questions but one more thing i heard i can just rent a car from uber weekly i honestly need to find a way to leave the job i have now no bathroom bad conditions i am despret
U hella smart brother and I understood every word you said...i was an uber driver and I quit because I was a suicide driver putting in 70+ hours a week. I now clearly see I was doing it very wrong brother. U opened my eyes and got me hyped up again...thanks brother for real..
Great job!! man this is some great feed back!! Def I shared this on my twitter page!!! You even give that mention! to share videos as a way to better promote yourself. Very well educated, simple to do format, just takes consistency and Hustle!!
I'm still on the fence about becoming a driver, but this is good information. Most of the negative videos I see on other sites are due to the drivers depending only on driving itself. You seem to be diversified, and that's what companies/people do to succeed in the long haul. You're basically using Uber and your websites for networking for your photography business. Which is a good, because you're making money while you do it, and don't have to push too hard. There's nothing worse than corporate networking "mixers" or people who try to get business leads in everyday situations. I couple of months ago I was in a gas station convenience store, and there was this guy handing out business cards to people who really didn't want anything to do with him. The business classes, and self help books say this works if you can get one person in a hundred interested, but don't say how obnoxious it is for the other 99 who don't want to hear their pitch. Keep up the good work.
Calvin my man! I consider myself a business owner as well when it comes to Uber, and I must say, everything you said is absolutely correct, and obtainable. The only variable we can't control is the dedication and motivation of the person. Keep it up brother, I can only hope to get on your level one day! #Blessings
Calvin! Ma MAN! I agree with everything you just said and thank you for this lead. I was making 800 dollars a week with Uber only. Wait till I put this to practice. God bless your beautiful black face.
Charlies Life Recorded it’s *you’re and thats exactly what i mean, this isnt considered a “side hustle” if ur gonna be doin this full time, a side hustle is sum on the side, and uber is a scam anyways, luckily legislation is in the making for uber drivers

Idk where you went, but just wanted to say it was your vids that gave me confidence to jump in with Uber, I've kept a positive attitude and hustle on the daily and I'm reaping the rewards. Thanks and good luck to you on your side ventures, or main, I kno you get at it
This Is A FABULOUS VIDEO!!! This Is Exactly How I Am Seeing The Potential Of This Rideshare Business Endeavor. Sooooo Excited To See How You're Thinking. Thanks For The Business Model!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Definitely Going To Check Out Your Other Videos❤
My fellow ATLien! Calvin thank you again. Just like The Bearded Uber Driver, you got me started thinking of this a WHOLE business. I've been spending way too much time behind the wheel and I've been contemplating if continuing to do rideshare videos and blogging was even worth it... Thanks for the reminder! Lol
As a car salesman myself and part time Uber driver, I have heard multiple times customers talking about getting their license back in a month or two or someone talking about their car would not start or it was in the shop to see what is wrong. Those are gold mine customers. Find and hook up with a solid local car sales person. Most places pay $100-$200 per referral. I would just get some business cards from the sales person and put a "referred by ..." sticker on the back and work out some sort of strategy to make sure that card is presented when they go to look at a vehicle. I have picked up three customers in 4 weeks of riving.
If you watched this entire video you know that a comment about hourly wages is irrelevant. ONLY profit and LOSS matter in this business. This is NOT a motivational video. It's an informative video that 1,000's of drivers are using to maximize their earnings in the tune of $1,000's of dollars per month.
I'm making a killing with Uber here in Monterey. Its all down to strategy. Yes, I have lots of other jobs too. I'm crazy busy. I couldn't have a 9-5 job! Seriously, I take my driving professionally and promote and network making clients too. Its great! I love it. The people I meet are wonderful! Love your videos.
Good to see a new video, Calvin. Lots of valuable content in this video. One thing I disagree with is not needing business cards. Business cards have been a valuable asset in my personal branding and my rideshare branding. I drive for Uber and Lyft, and Lyft pays you referral money when you sign up riders. I do that through business cards I custom made with my referral code for passengers on one side and drivers on the other side with my contact info and website url. I earn at least $40 per week in rider referrals from my Lyft referral business cards. How is that irrelevant? Collecting business cards from your passengers is vital as well.
Great comment brother. It's good to be back. I'm glad cards are working for you. Each business is different. I just said that I personally don't use cards and offered the reason why. If it's working for you and some others brother, GET THAT MONEY...LOL
The Simple Driver thank you brother! I get it, each person, business and interaction is different. I'm a digital marketing consultant so I am in the mindset of cover every angel. Dean Lee Thanks got subscribing. Glad I can pour value out for you.
possibly the best Uber video I've ever seen!
Calvin! I just told my homegirl to check you out. You have so much excitement and great information. I think you could be teaching the masses how to get paid doing other things too. Thank you. I am always inspired to think big and work smarter when I watch your videos.
Your video editing is cool an on point.
Good content man great work.
This is definitely one of the best RUclips channels. Thank you for inspiring me to try on my own. You're awesome 😎. Keep them coming.
Awesome video. You put in such simple terms for all to understand.
I've got something you might want to add to your repertoire..
Calvin da man
In LA we were making 2000 a week. Easy!
After everything how much do u keep of that
I make $1,100-$1,300 just running Uber Friday and Saturday nights. About 20 to 22 hours total. I have a business Monday to Friday.
Glad you recognize the power in this video. Congrats!!!
This video is like gold. Droppin knowledge
Your return with this video is perfect timing! I was really getting discouraged with Uber. This is very motivating and uplifting. God bless and thanks again. I will keep you informed of my progress.
wortha2ndlookart Thanks you. I look forward to hearing from you 😃.
Heard “bonuses” and asked “how old is this?” Then scrolls up.
I've written 2 books on marketing and he's spot on. It's not about the hourly, but what you can turn it into. The website idea is great, gonna "steal" that one and go for some affiliate money. If you give good service, they will use you over and over. Once you learn where the "quality" rides are, never look back. Thanks, Calvin
I see an Uber bootcamp in the future, Atlanta and great spot for one,.
Are you still driving as it's almost 2020. If so what are you making?
Referrals are nonexistent so this business model has to change.
Thank you. This is the kinda mindset I was looking for, you’ve opened my mind. 🙂
Congrats Andra :-)
Dam great job
How
You are the first person that explains how to set up a website. Thank You
Thanks for the info my bro. You just motivated me
It’s about the grind, hustle and how hungry you are! Good content sir!
Alex Ibarr This is exactly right.
@@TrueLoveNetwork His estimate was $60 for 5 hours of driving, or $12 per hour.
You are welcome.
AMAZING but True! Thanks for explaining your Journey and Leverage System!
Man! You knocked it out the Ball Park!! I need that coaching. I don't know how to build a website.
I’m def about to watch all your videos this weekend . I’m seriously trying to learn of ways to create passive income . I hate working for others . Love learning . Plus your voice sound like you not playing at all.
Great video. You woke me up! Thanks for the tips!
This is gold! You're one hell of a speaker...nice salesmanship.
LOL, thanks.
ur amazing!! so organized and informative. thank u!!
You have a new subscriber! I don't do uber but other services such as postmates and Amazon flex. A lot of this advice still applies.
Wow man! I found this by accident, great content. How do you get people in different cities to notice you?
Khgamer32 Glad you get something out of them. I wish you all the best in your Uber business. New York is a great city.
But i have a guestion u might know can i get my tlc license even though i dont have a year with my regular license i called tlc they said no but i dont trust them since if i get declind i dont get my money back maybe some1 knows better
Khgamer32 I don’t have that answer, but an Uber Greenlight hub might.
(I don't recommend lease-to-own because is a 3 year contract, paying $400-$500 weekly, that you can't break unless you pay over $2,000 in fees)
You have 4 other options however.
Getting referrals in NYC is hard because its like a 3 month process to get a TLC license
Great content! Taking your advice to heart!
Benny Good deal.
I think this can be summed up as ...Captive audience(uber riders) + great sales/marketing funnel = 10k per month. Great job sir!
U hella smart brother and I understood every word you said...i was an uber driver and I quit because I was a suicide driver putting in 70+ hours a week. I now clearly see I was doing it very wrong brother. U opened my eyes and got me hyped up again...thanks brother for real..
You are welcome Raul.
Raul Martinez you should get a real job
@@princeduties2991 I guess a real job would be working for someone in an office punching in and out right? You damn fool STFU
Update?
Great job!! man this is some great feed back!! Def I shared this on my twitter page!!! You even give that mention! to share videos as a way to better promote yourself. Very well educated, simple to do format, just takes consistency and Hustle!!
Calvin, a goldmine of information! Thanks! (The link to your video course?)
Thanks Pop's. Great question. Here is the link thesimpledriver.com/uber-success-course/
#Blessings
Rich SouthWest That’s fantastic Rich. Stay consistent and you will surely get there brother.
Rich SouthWest $
Ultimate hustler. Streams of income coming in multiple ways. Your a boss bro.
I just learned something great.
Thanks for the compliment.
You forgot run a steamit driving blog.
Easily a extra $300 to $700 a month.
I will be a Uber driver because of you!! Thank You. This is my holy Grail of running a business with Uber.
Calvin! Ma MAN! I agree with everything you just said and thank you for this lead. I was making 800 dollars a week with Uber only. Wait till I put this to practice. God bless your beautiful black face.
Leonardo Chavez did you get it up and running better? Has business picked up better for you?
This was great. All awesome info. Hard work, but lots of great ideas. You’re a true hustler man.
this “side hustle” seems more like a full time job
UBER is a full time job. Most people just dont understand how to make it work.
not to me , part time for me... but I can still pull 800 a week working 3 hrs a night after my main job and 8 on the weekends.
You cant make $800 in 3 hours. Fake news!!!!! Stop lying on the internet
Depends on how hard your willing to work....
Charlies Life Recorded it’s *you’re and thats exactly what i mean, this isnt considered a “side hustle” if ur gonna be doin this full time, a side hustle is sum on the side, and uber is a scam anyways, luckily legislation is in the making for uber drivers
Wow Calvin... excellent job. Great information. This is the first of your video's I've watched and I'm subscribing.. Should you ever venture to Las Vegas, lunch is on me! Thanks for a great presentation!
My guy we are in 2018 u are in 2020 damn that's amazing and good money and anybody can do at least half of it
Honestly tho, the while time, I was waiting for the "humpty Dance" to play at the end of this video. Classic work bro.
Idk where you went, but just wanted to say it was your vids that gave me confidence to jump in with Uber, I've kept a positive attitude and hustle on the daily and I'm reaping the rewards. Thanks and good luck to you on your side ventures, or main, I kno you get at it
Congrats. I'm glad I could help you.
Amazing!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this! 🙏🏻
You are welcome Amy.
Lol
Carlton Lewis No problem. I want to see us all win!
Make that money I love your mindset
As a car salesman myself and part time Uber driver, I have heard multiple times customers talking about getting their license back in a month or two or someone talking about their car would not start or it was in the shop to see what is wrong. Those are gold mine customers. Find and hook up with a solid local car sales person. Most places pay $100-$200 per referral. I would just get some business cards from the sales person and put a "referred by ..." sticker on the back and work out some sort of strategy to make sure that card is presented when they go to look at a vehicle. I have picked up three customers in 4 weeks of riving.
Brother u got THE COLDEST HUSTLE MUCH RESPECT!!
Great video Calvin. I love your enthusiasm for your business.
I agree with your approach, It is just a bit slow for me to take off. But the money is out there. Im having fun driving my police car on Uber.
Savage Scientist Glad you see the big picture.
Me too, I have 2009 crown vic I do uber in. 5% tint too lol
I think you were referring to this video.

My friends made a consistent $6 an hour with UBER. But you ARE making money with this motivational video, so good for you!
If you watched this entire video you know that a comment about hourly wages is irrelevant. ONLY profit and LOSS matter in this business. This is NOT a motivational video. It's an informative video that 1,000's of drivers are using to maximize their earnings in the tune of $1,000's of dollars per month.
This is a really nice set up
I'm making a killing with Uber here in Monterey.
Business cards, website, social media, email, thought leadership, video, content marketing, brand ambassadors and search.
