I quit alcohol for 4 months a couple years ago and lost 30 pounds, my depression disappeared, and I was much happier and more productive. I enjoy it on occasion now but never drink regularly anymore. Best decision of my life lol
This is how drinking should be drinking here and there… this is what I want to do… I need to kick it on the head drinking 3 to 4 nights a week. And just stick to 1 a week
had a really bad few recent weeks because of my drinking habits, and today I was seriously thinking of quitting. You've given me the push to do it, thank you
Yeah! You can do it. I’m almost at 2 years no alcohol and guess what gave me the last kick? Craig‘s video mentioned alcohol and weight loss and working out, I was sold. And I miss alcohol zero percent!!
I started drinking as a young man during my time in the Marines. Several combat tours later and now retired, I "pulled my head up out of the sand" one day and realized how much I was drinking. I used to think my wife was nagging me, but when I took an honest look at myself I saw that she wasn't nagging me - she was trying to save me. And although I will have an occassional drink on special occassions now, I can go weeks without drinking any alcohol and you guys are right! I don't miss it at all. I sleep better, have more energy when I get up, and just feel better about everything. Anybody out there thinking about quitting alcohol? Just do it! You can make it; one drink at a time; one day at a time. I promise you it gets easier with each passing day. And one day, you won't have to hide from alcohol - you'll be able to sit next to people drinking and be like "no, just get me a water with cucumbers in it."

I quit alcohol August 5th 1995 when I was working in Tokyo and never looked back (almost 27 years). Life is so much better in every way without it :-) If anyone is reading this comment and has a problem with alcohol then it's time to quit and never look back. It's actually a lot easier than you think when you make that decision. Thanks for your video! Carl 🙂
That's 9 days before I was born. 2 months ago, I made the same decision you made back in Tokyo. I hope to see myself still on this path 27 years later like yourself!
As as ex-party-drink-my-face-off-7-nights-a-week queen who has now been sober for a couple of years I will tell you... I feel 100x better than I ever did when I was drinking. And even on the rare occasion that I have a drink now - I immediately feel tired, I get a headache, and it makes me really nauseous. I never thought I would feel that much better, and admittedly I was drinking way more than what is normal and healthy for any pint-sized human being, but... 10/10 would quit again.
I never left a comment before, but I just gotta tell you, that you're my FAVORITE youtuber, Craig. You and Chyna made me laugh so much while watching this, you just both seem like the funnest people to be around!
Hey Cultured Bubble, I didn't know you watched Wheezy?! I just subscribed to your channel a month ago, your videos are great and you are funny as well!
I accidentally stopped drinking 8 years ago to support a friend who was having a rough time and was hitting the bottle a bit. We stopped together for a month and it worked well for us both. Like you, I wasn't much of a drinker in the first place (0 - 10 units a week) so had no reason to think it was having any effect on my health, but when I stopped for a month I felt WONDERFUL! Great sleep, clear head, no mood swings, much better concentration, no midnight munchies. I put it to the test a couple of times to see if it really was the booze, and it was - I felt dreadful. I've never looked back.
I’m not sure how much you drank prior to your experiment but I can tell you from experience, the waking up in the middle of the night will take longer than 6 months. The main thing I experienced after much time quitting drinking was the power and confidence I felt being in total control of my emotions.
What you experienced during your first month might have been "anhedonia" With chronic substance use, the brain adapts by lowering dopamine receptors and diminishing the reward system's sensitivity. This is why in early recovery, some people experience anhedonia, the inability to experience pleasure. As a fellow Wisconsinite, I can relate to the struggle of trying to be sober in a culture that is steeped in social alcoholism.
You two are hilarious, I legitimately laughed out loud a couple of times! A couple that my husband and I have been hanging out with are moving soon. We're pretty bummed about it but the upside is less drinking on the weekends! 😂 They are nice people but damn they can knock back some alcohol! I'm mostly a social drinker but the odd drink is creeping in after work and now it will be easier to nip that habit in the bud. Thanks for the mocktail recipes, I want to try to watermelon drink and the faux Paloma drink.
I recently quit drinking and I’ve been occupying my time by watching RUclips videos related to not drinking and what not. That being said, I love your content. The humor sprinkled in is *chef kiss*. Thanks for the entertainment!
I recently started to drink again. Not sure why… maybe because I put so much emphasis into not drinking for so long I just said meh, I’ll have a drink now. Well now I realize that I’m kinda addicted to it. I could easily drink myself into a stupor and not realize it. So I think maybe not drinking is the way for me.
Quit ages ago, don't miss it at all. Weirdly enough though it can make other people uncomfortable but I try not to worry about that ... as it'd be mad to drink to keep other people happy ... although sometimes that would feel easier. Great video 💗💗
Love this! I'm currently on an alcohol free journey after a drinking habit very similar to Craig's, wanting to explore how my body and mentality feel without it, and these check in videos from ya'll are such motivators! I'm 100% going to try these mocktail recipes! The ritual of making a drink for me is one of the habits instilled with my drinking; these look so fun and delicious! Especially excited about the jalapeno one!
My bet is you're feeling exhausted in the evenings because of "GABA withdrawal" kicking in due to long-term alcohol use messing with up your GABA receptors. This is why you feel relaxed after a few drinks. This is also the first step to alcohol addiction. It should go away after a few months of abstinence. Basically got to rewire your brain back. The reason you're waking up in the middle of the night is lack of GABA modulation causing anxiety. That's my bet. That's a lot of GABA in one paragraph. GABA is a "system" in the brain that calms you down. Disclaimer: I have a PhD in Neuroscience.

Stopped drinking 12 years ago. I never think of it. In fact, smell of wine the other day, made my tummy churn. It didn't start of that way, I was obsessed with it. And then...slowly..it loosens.. its hold on you. Moments you crave become further and further apart. You simply forget about it, the way you forget a dream that seemed so vivid in the morning.
I'm really proud of you guys. I know this is very very hard. I quit smoking earlier this year and now I'm on to cutting down my alcohol. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing.
I enjoy your channel's stuff. It's not just senseless fluff. I am an amused subscriber. Thanks to you two, I will be less of an imbiber. (Sorry for the bad poetry.)
I never started drinking alcohol in the first place so I'm watching with great fascination haha! It was really interesting the way people really started pushing me to try it as soon as I turned 21. It's like a social experiment to just not do it and see how people react.
Same here! It’s funny because I have friends that became alcoholics, started going to AA meetings, and now I get invited to parties more often again so they can have someone sober to hang out with.
Yeah... I have gotten drunk a few times but I still don't get what all the hype is about. I mean... the drinks taste good but the hangover isn't worth it.
It’s definitely different seeing quitting as partly an experiment (one that is helpful and really inspiring). My family has some people dealing with alcoholism so I can feel how tense I get watching the beginning of the video. For so many people this is the hardest thing they’ll ever do because generally alcoholism tends to lead to a lot of destruction. For the folks who see their drinking as a real problem, I hope that they seek support as well as a discussion with their doctor to keep track of things, detox can be lethal for long time alcoholics and needs more medical guidance. It’s a comfort to see parents trying out so many changes to better their life, not drinking can only lead to good things. Thank you for sharing this journey.
I've never really been an alcohol drinker because of a chronic illness and my fav go to "mocktail" is a super bubbly ginger ale + a few tablespoons of peach juice. holy summer in a glass it's SO good.
@@Congiary i definitely reccomend it! you can get a solo can of "peach nectar" at most US grocery stores, just don't use too much or you'll overpower the ginger and kill the carbonation. just a tablespoon or two is all you need!
@@wrapfilms I'm always trying new ones that I find locally but honestly even Canada Dry would work. but in general I prefer the more intense ginger "beers" (non-alcoholic but real bitter and bubbly.)
I never drank much, but two years ago I decided that if I drank at all it would be nice bubbly, a crémant or better yet a proper champagne (I live in Europe so it is easy to come by) and only if there was a big occasion like weddings or special birthdays It is hard to find grown up non-alcoholic drinks so your cocktails. And you were so funny together! “Hibiscus rite”: starting something that is amazing, if only the stars align etc.
I stopped alcohol when I locked down for Covid. I’ve discovered that I associated drinking with being with friends and since we weren’t spending time with friends I didn’t drink. As the time went by, I kept questioning what it was that I thought might be another issue. It’s that I wanted the sugar and that I like the fancy glasses and the umbrella thing in the glass. I can have fresh squeezed fruit, add a salted rim or the tooth pick with fresh fruit on it for something that satisfies me just as much. I questioned how I was going to feel when out to dinner with a couple friends and one ordered wine. It was an Italian restaurant that had a nice wine list. I chose a fun dessert instead. 27 + months later, I will continue with my choice to stop.
My hubs and I quit drinking back in 1988. We were just weekend drinkers and beer only, but we wanted to start a family in the very neat future, so we quit. Raised 3 great kids with no alcohol in the house, and no regrets. Then, craft beer hit the scene big time here in Grand Rapids Michigan, so we became enthusiastic craft beer snobs about 2013. Now, the latest medical reports are finding that even one beer a day for women have huge detrimental effects on brain function down the road. Damn! Welp, back on the wagon for us! This video will definitely help us !
Decaf coffee beans are fantastic! I love coffee. I used to be able to drink it at anytime without any issues, but now, if I have a caffeinated coffee past ~3 pm, it will definitely keep me from sleeping well. Most of my friends think it's weird that I have decaf coffee (because "What's the point without caffeine?"), but it just makes me so happy to have an afternoon/evening coffee without the sleep disturbance.
My alcohol consumption massively declined the past few years. I drink just a little bit maaaaybe once a month when there’s a reason like a birthday party. It has definitely changed my life for the better. You two are the best!
Five weeks out from a heart attack and the medicine I’m on prevents me from drinking any alcohol. First week was Felt weird knowing I couldn’t go to a happy hour and have a drink or two. Now , don’t miss it!
I haven't really enjoyed alcohol in my life, I especially have not gotten drunk. I'm 28 years old now, and I think the side-effects of alcohol are becoming more well-known in my friend group. I hope in 10 years, it will be looked at like smoking. A really bad habit, that you should stop while you still can.
I think you guys look better after 4 months without alcohol. And I wish you all the strength in the world to endure "why don't you drink" and "come on, just a little one" - there are a shirt lot of people out there who think something is wrong with you if you choose not to drink alcohol ever again in your life.
Quitting was the best decision I ever made, yesterday was my 3 year anniversary and I rarely think about it anymore. I’m a lot healthier and my relationships with friends and family have greatly improved
I finally joined you guys and have not drank since the beginning of January! I was actually surprised at how easy it was, especially after coming off the holidays. I also don't really notice too much of a difference in sleep either, but it certainly hasn't gotten worse. I also love that now there's a lot more NA beers now, since I do really love beer, the hoppier the better. In a way I was surprised at how much less I drink of an NA beer vs the regular, but at the same time, of course that makes sense! I would be curious to try some mocktails, if I can either, make my own that are less sweet like the watermelon one, or trying some cool NA cocktail mixes, I've heard theres a lot of interesting herbal ones that might suit me. Can't stand sickly sweet. Otherwise I've honestly just been fine with fizzy water or an occasional sweet drink in place of tons of alcoholic drinks.
I’m two weeks in. I’m British and live in London and alcohol is woven into the very fabric of our society . It’s so hard to get away from, it’s around you everywhere. Most professional people I know drink to wind down from a busy week, it’s a coping mechanism for them and think nothing of having a few bottles of wine a week. Others I know have never known anything different, the pub and drinking is their only social outlet and drinking 7 or 8 pints in an evening of beer is normal. You get to 16 or 17, that’s where your life long journey of alcohol begins.
My husband and I have stopped drinking very much and don’t miss it at all. We do have a drink occasionally but if we had fun alternatives, we could absolutely replace the alcohol. I hope that companies start making more mocktail focused beverages!
My wife and I enjoyed drinking, way to much. She quit as a New Years deal. 2 years later she still hasn't drank a drop. I quit a year ago and it reminded me of quitting tobacco. After a month it was behind me but i still wanted a drink. At Christmas I had an Old Fashion my sister made for me. I drank a couple of sips and gave it back to her. It just didn't taste the same. I'm done drinking, feel so much better without it.
I've been trying to push the bar I work at to broaden their non-alcoholic offerings and this gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas. You guys are the best :D
Loved this video, I'm embarking on quitting alcohol as well. You're one of my favorite RUclips channels, so I was totally surprised and excited to hear that you used my husband's music in the intro!
About 3 weeks in myself. I'm a Homebrewer so not brewing has been kind of disappointing, but recently I tried making some hopped hibiscus chamomile tea and kegging it and I'm very surprised with how good it ended up being. Very close to a fruited Gose minus the sea salt (which I may add next batch) and may possibly try kettle souring with lactobacillus to add some additional tartness. If I can perfect it I feel like it would be good enough to make at a large scale and sell.
I think alcohol becomes part of our routine, like holding a cigarette while drinking a beer for some. I enjoyed drinking while cooking. I stopped drinking and it took me a while to learn that diet cranberry juice with lime is a fine treat drink while in the kitchen. I. now have a new routine go-to drink while cooking.

I’ve made it through 90 days. - I sleep much better, but I did find myself sweating at night and waking up with a wet shirt -my skin improved. No more pimples or redness -I didn’t lose weight, but looked like I lost 10 lbs because I deflated and was less puffy - I craved less-salty foods especially in the morning. When hung over I wanted an egg McMuffin or bacon and eggs. I also lost the craving for fast-food, pizza, chips and junk food. - I craved sugar, so I always have bags of candy around -my bank account looked much better. Alcohol can be expensive, especially when you drink booze. - I did find myself being a bit irritable at first
1st off you guys are my type of ppl! I'm proud of anyone who can give up a lifestyle for a step in a better direction. I haven't had a drink in 3 years and it's great, I do miss it sometimes but generally it never crosses my mind, my dad was an alcoholic and it's pretty riff in my family so I'm glad my wife nudged me in the right direction coz drink is evil.
I gave up at the start of the year. I reckon it took at least six weeks before I started to feel better (and I wasn’t a huge drinker and drank 2-3x/week). When I had a craving I would say to myself “you’re an adult, make a decision and stick to it” and/or “how will alcohol enhance this experience?” It doesn’t. In Australia there is a brand of non-alcoholic mixers that are also low sugar called “Naked”. They distill their own botanicals and make very interesting drinks. It’s a nice refresher but still a sometimes food! No regrets and can’t imagine every drinking again.
I’m one of those strange beings who likes to make my own beer and wine and mix my own OG drink recipes, but I also love non-alcohol options. So far I have learned three things: 1) NA spirits that mimic non-NA spirits are not great. You have an expectation and the NA option does not meet it. Just pick a tasty NA distilled liquid that is NOT trying to mimic the non-NA spirits. 2) Hemp-infused/CBD-infused/some other adaptogen-infused NA spirit do not mix with SSRI medications! For much of those meds, the receptors for the meds and receptors for the hemp/CBD/other adaptogens are the same, hence, which one your body registers is a toss-up. If you’re on SSRI’s then you probably want those to stay effective. Obviously, alcohol and meds- don’t take those too close together and *talk to your doctor*… but the effects and interactions are much better-researched! 3) NA drinks are a lot of fun and you can share them with everyone!
I had been worried that this was a "We were supposed to go alcohol-free for a year, but we only made it 4 months" video. Glad to see it's just an update.
I feel like most everyone I meet has a drinking problem! 🙄 Including work colleagues, potential friends or dates too. If you quit you'll be healthier - that's for sure. But you'll start to see the world differently and most likely be more lonely. I've never been a drinker and it really does start to separate people as you get older. Your friends that still drink into their 30s, 40s, and beyond won't call you as much or include you in events. My Mom who is a former alcoholic (she's been sober for 13 years) told me the way she and other drinkers feel - which is that no drinkers want to be around non-drinkers because they know what they're doing isn't healthy and they don't want to be reminded of it and they'll feel judged. Even if you aren't verbalizing your feelings against their lifestyle, being around you - a sober person will make them self-conscious and uncomfortable. And they'll look at you as a no fun, stick in the mud. Conversely, you'll get bored and annoyed hanging out with people who believe that every weekend or every night is a transport back to age 20 via alcohol! You may think I'm going overboard but just watch. As you get older and if your friends keep drinking, before you know it, they'll disappear. It's hard enough maintaining friendships with people as you age due to kids and other life responsibilities, but drinking really does become another separator. If you're committed to a healthier, non drinking lifestyle, or only rarely drinking lifestyle, try to find and maintain relationships with others like you as best you can because this is all true.
I've always been rather strict on alcohol, no more than 1 drink (if that!!) outside the house, no more than 2 at home. Didn't happen more than a few times a month anyway. I stopped when TTC. It's not like I was dependent in any way, but I do miss the nice warming feeling of a glass of red on a cold day. Or just the feeling of treating myself.
I quit drinking 3 years ago haven't looked back haven't even been tempted. For me I cant stand the taste of alcohol getting smashed every weekend was for pure escape
I stopped drinking 5 years ago, when I quit my job in night club. When I'm with friends I can have a drink, but it's not a necessity. I never had inclination to drinking, it was forced on me by circumstances. When you work in a nigh club what else can you do but do what the romans do.
I drank A LOT while in the Army. Come 2019 I gave it up. I concur that first few days without any alcohol are difficult, it just feels like you need it. Fast forward now I get that urge to stop for a beer but then think what’s the point? Just to get a buzz for a couple hours? To me it’s not worth it, I definitely think having kids is inspiration to not continue. Congrats on making it this far in your non-alcoholic journey!
You guys are like my friends who I moved away from and don’t keep in touch with a bunch, but whenever I see y’all it seems like you’re doing great and I’m glad.
I've never had a lick of alcohol. Part for religious reasons, but also because I've had some family members who took to alcohol very badly. Then when I lived in south America, I was introduced to 0% malt beer. And I really liked it.
I use to party a lot but ever since "adulting" happened, I felt like a party animal just for drinking a latte after 7pm on a Friday. Adolescent me would be very confused at that statement

I’m almost 4months no alcohol. Seen your video of starting no alcohol and said I’m going on this journey with you all.
You rock, Eva!
Good luck!
Good for you, you can do it!
Carl 🙂
Yes, the key is to make a decision and stick with that decision. NEVER question it.
You and Chyna made me laugh so much while watching this, you just both seem like the funnest people to be around!
aren't they so funny?!?!?! I get so much joy from laughing through these vids
I was about to say the same thing, I hope your story will be a bright light to many who need it
Hey Cultured Bubble, I didn't know you watched Wheezy?! I just subscribed to your channel a month ago, your videos are great and you are funny as well!
I'm sorry but this THE best Wheezy video ever. It has it all: the jokes, the jumpcuts, the voice over.... AMAZINGLY WHEEZIAN
So true!
How come "Wheezian" isn't in the dictionary yet?
The voiceover had me laughing so much
I accidentally stopped drinking 8 years ago to support a friend who was having a rough time and was hitting the bottle a bit.
So unbelievably charmed by the mocktail section. Yall are adorable and so funny lmao. “Have you tried giving it terrible news?” AMAZING
I’m not sure how much you drank prior to your experiment but I can tell you from experience, the waking up in the middle of the night will take longer than 6 months. The main thing I experienced after much time quitting drinking was the power and confidence I felt being in total control of my emotions.
What you experienced during your first month might have been "anhedonia"
With chronic substance use, the brain adapts by lowering dopamine receptors and diminishing the reward system's sensitivity. This is why in early recovery, some people experience anhedonia, the inability to experience pleasure.
As a fellow Wisconsinite, I can relate to the struggle of trying to be sober in a culture that is steeped in social alcoholism.
This was very cool to learn, thank you
Accurate

As my kids say (constantly), "Not enough salt is an insult, but too much salt is an assault." 😌
Wise words.
I’m also here on 4 months no alcohol! Feeling great and keeping it going. Cheers to everyone trying doing what’s best for your body and mind!
Quit ages ago, don't miss it at all. Weirdly enough though it can make other people uncomfortable but I try not to worry about that ... as it'd be mad to drink to keep other people happy ... although sometimes that would feel easier. Great video 💗💗
8:13. HA!!!!! Great quote. "Little things in life make you appreciate stuff."
You need to be a youtuber. We need more ph.ds on here.
@@CRBungalow I wish I could talk in front of the camera. Somehow it's weird and much harder than talking to people.
Btw, this is a good video on the topic ruclips.net/video/1RxATXURxQM/видео.html
Interesting. Anything other than time that helps?
Possibly incorporating GABA rich foods into your diet. Goat milk kefir is great
Wow thanks for the info! Always nice to hear from someone with expertise. Definitely gonna look into this more.
*_I quit for lent, the first week was hard but it's been getting easier and easier! Good job for four months!_*

That's awesome man me to
I never started drinking alcohol in the first place so I'm watching with great fascination haha!
It was really interesting the way people really started pushing me to try it as soon as I turned 21. It's like a social experiment to just not do it and see how people react.
I'm in a he same boat. People get really judgy when I say I don't drink. It's the whole why are you going against us feeling that they push on you.
That sounds heavenly!
@@Congiary i definitely reccomend it! you can get a solo can of "peach nectar" at most US grocery stores, just don't use too much or you'll overpower the ginger and kill the carbonation. just a tablespoon or two is all you need!
What’s your favorite ginger ale?
@@wrapfilms I'm always trying new ones that I find locally but honestly even Canada Dry would work. but in general I prefer the more intense ginger "beers" (non-alcoholic but real bitter and bubbly.)
I gotta try that!
The main reason I watch this channel is to see a married couple having fun and joking around together. You two are just so funny together.
If people can quit alcohol, I can stop sugar. This inspires me. If you can do the difficult, I can do the less difficult.
Sugar is more addictive than alcohol for many people
I’m 33 and glad I never started drinking so I don’t have to quit.
Nearing five years sober myself. It is still the best and most important thing that I have sone in my life actually 🤗
I totally read "maaaaybe" with Craig's voice in my head.
Are you going to make video about alcohol throughout human history? =)
Quit making deals with your self 🙏🏽
Five weeks out from a heart attack and the medicine I’m on prevents me from drinking any alcohol. First week was Felt weird knowing I couldn’t go to a happy hour and have a drink or two.
Now , don’t miss it!
I haven't really enjoyed alcohol in my life, I especially have not gotten drunk. I'm 28 years old now, and I think the side-effects of alcohol are becoming more well-known in my friend group. I hope in 10 years, it will be looked at like smoking. A really bad habit, that you should stop while you still can.
I gave up alcohol 7.5 years ago. It has been life changing. Freedom has no price. Good luck anyone who is thinking of quitting. Well worth the ride.
I think you guys look better after 4 months without alcohol.
And I wish you all the strength in the world to endure "why don't you drink" and "come on, just a little one" - there are a shirt lot of people out there who think something is wrong with you if you choose not to drink alcohol ever again in your life.
It's been a while since I clicked and this video reminded me why you're one of the best creators ever
I haven’t had alcohol in 3 months and you’re sooo right! I feel great and I’m way more productive too 🙌🏼
Quitting was the best decision I ever made, yesterday was my 3 year anniversary and I rarely think about it anymore. I’m a lot healthier and my relationships with friends and family have greatly improved
You two are a riot. Quit alcohol years ago. If was The best decision I have ever made.
Joining u on this! 96 days sober
Fitter, happier, more productive.
I love it when the videos done ☕
Can we get more of Chyna and Craig goofing off together??? Loved the second half of the video! You guys are hilarious lol
"I usually don't have more than two drinks in a day" already sounds crazy high to me, that implies drinking alcohol every day.
Fun fact, im 33 and have never really had an alcoholic drink for no specific reason, i just never desired one
This was such an enjoyable video! Next level editing and you and Chyna have such great humor and chemistry.
You guys are adorable and hilarious. And as a recently sober person and recovering alcoholic I found this helpful and like really positive
I've been trying to push the bar I work at to broaden their non-alcoholic offerings and this gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas. You guys are the best :D
Hey, you should start your own business, a non alcohol bar, a monktail bar!! 🎉
Ill buy it! 😄
Chyna's skin looks really lovely 😊
7 days sober for me, my first goal is 30 days! If I hit 30 days ima add another 30! I’m feeling great right now! Only thing that’s been off is my sleeping patterns! But I’m getting through it! Thank you guys for the content!!

I tried it for four months a while ago, it didn't change anything at all for me. But I would like to see Craig make an experiment like that and make it into a video
A plus to watching videos with Chyna is to be able to witness a compatible relationship.. however it creates to morbid curiosity what happens between some of those jump cuts.. I'll rewatch certain little parts to enjoy a perceived beautiful moment .. or a genuine laugh.. regardless thank you.
I think my favorite part is that you're giggling as much as if you are drinking alcohol! On another note I wish not drinking made me more productive! I drink maybe once a year at this point and I'm still a lazy ass!!
I’ve made it through 90 days.
- I sleep much better, but I did find myself sweating at night and waking up with a wet shirt
-my skin improved. No more pimples or redness
-I didn’t lose weight, but looked like I lost 10 lbs because I deflated and was less puffy
- I craved less-salty foods especially in the morning. When hung over I wanted an egg McMuffin or bacon and eggs. I also lost the craving for fast-food, pizza, chips and junk food.
- I craved sugar, so I always have bags of candy around
-my bank account looked much better. Alcohol can be expensive, especially when you drink booze.
- I did find myself being a bit irritable at first

I haven't had a drink in 3 years and it's great, I do miss it sometimes but generally it never crosses my mind, my dad was an alcoholic and it's pretty riff in my family so I'm glad my wife nudged me in the right direction coz drink is evil.
I really appreciate the chaos! And y’all sharing honestly about your experience. Thank you!
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when she covered her head with the tea towel. Too funny!
Im just finding yall. The honesty of it all was what I needed most.
So far I have learned three things:
1) NA spirits that mimic non-NA spirits are not great.
If you have liver damage from alcohol like I do, stay away from the salty, sugary mock-tails folks. Love this video! You all are hilarious!
Way to go guys. I quit just over a year ago, sometimes I miss it but life is way better.
When you work in a nigh club what else can you do but do what the romans do.
...did you actually quit drinking or not?
@@WatchDoggyDog what part of my post confuses you?
I drank A LOT while in the Army. Come 2019 I gave it up. I concur that first few days without any alcohol are difficult, it just feels like you need it. Fast forward now I get that urge to stop for a beer but then think what’s the point? Just to get a buzz for a couple hours? To me it’s not worth it, I definitely think having kids is inspiration to not continue. Congrats on making it this far in your non-alcoholic journey!

Haven't seen your videos for several months and you look much more fit and so much younger!
