Hi. Thanks for doing this video. I've never seen these tubes. I wonder if you made a slurry first then filled the snowflake mold? I saw your finished video and had to look for this one to understand how the mold worked. Now that im watching you fill this tube I can see why the finished piece was inconsistant. I like your idea of changing colors maybe half way through the tube. Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna check out what other molds are available. The stringers in the strawberry sounds cool. Thanks again for sharing.😊
Thank you for your kind words. I have tried the slurry too. I found you need to make it pretty runny and wait for the water to rise and add more powder, then wait and add powder, wait, and so forth. Good luck with your ventures
Your first video looks amazing and was really helpful! I think that is super clever using soap molds like that. I used to make soap and am very familiar with those types of molds. I've been fusing for nearly 13+ years and I have yet to try freeze and fuse, lol! I have purchased a lot of molds though! I am curious though, I wonder if you could do a pretty good sized slurry and then pour it into the mold, tap to get air bubbles out, and do it like that? I know it is a total guess for ensuring all of the cavity gets filled. I love the idea you have and I think it is brilliant! Thank you for sharing!
great idea. I will look into buying some of these moulds. Have you tried filling it to the top with powder & then adding all the water & leaving it to soak in? Or have you tried this way & it didn't work. xx
Thank you. No, I haven't tried that, but I have mixed the powder and water first, then dumped it in the tub. That goes faster but very messy.I will have to try your idea. Thanks again
Thank you for the question. Please, once you freeze them, take them out of the silicone mold and place the glass on the kiln kiln shelf and don't touch until you fuse them. Please do not put silicone mold in the freezer. You can do this with so many silicone molds. It doesn't have to be the tubes. If you haven't done freeze and fuse, please look it up. You'll be happy you did. If you have any questions, please ask away. This is just another idea out if thousand, good luck 😃.
You have done phenomenally.
I have never seen the tubes before. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful idea!!! You have. ESP, i was just trying to figure out how to make this work!!!!
Thanks again, I'm glad you found it helpful. I love love to experiment.
An electric toothbrush works well as a vibrating tool to get the bubbles out and settle things.
Amazing Great tutorial on glass fusing and freezing wirh cand I ed!!!! Dec 203.
Thank you 😊

This is what I've done in other molds, but it should be very wet, if not wet enough there will be gaps where frit doesn't reach..
These are a great idea. I was wondering if you could use modeling glass clay and lay into the mould and then freeze etc. terrific. Thank you ❤
Thank you, I have not yet used any of the clay. I will have to give it a try.
what an amazing idea! thank you!
Glad you like it!
Waiting for part two. I am not sure what you will make.
Part 2 is up. It shows how I on molded, fused and cut them along with a clip of what I'm working on now!

Neat new thing to try- would have like to see you unmolding one.
@hollydigges4525 that will be in the next video. I have to have them sit overnight.
So you are fusing glass in these silicone molds? I dont get it
