    Beautiful card and terrific tips on how to make it something really special. The brushes help you add grass and leaves that look great and so easily. Much easier than drawing in each blade of grass with a colored pencil.

    Pretty card! Thanks for using the brads, I had requested a video with brads! I love the way you were able to color the tree with just a wet brush. I appreciate the special brush demo too.

    I had no clue about these types of brush bristles. These would definitely help a crafter! Tfs! Blessings!

    Always like forward to your videos! Tfs! My first experience with patterned paper was when I had joined a scrapbook layout of the month program with my local scrapbooking store several years ago. I got the kit but wasn't able to attend the class. I did have a picture of what the final product was supposed to look like. There was some sort of basket-weave border. I spent hours messing up paper trying to recreate the basket weave border. It wasn't until the next day that I realize that the basket weave was a pattern on the back side of the paper. Duh!

    Love this card!! As you were finishing up the inking, I'm thinking to myself. If I was doing this I'd put a swing on the tree. Then you put one!!! I think I might have put another bird brad on the inside piece.

    I really love that tree stamp. It is so versatile and elegant. I liked seeing what the different brushes did too! The brads were brilliant, adding a substantial embellishment without the postage problem of bulk. The folded pocket inside was inspired, I cant stand having to choose a side! When you talked about your ideas for making tone on tone paper I was wondering if you could use a peg stamp or some of the ones you designed with that stampy-go-round thing you have, I cant remember the name of it but you made one and then bought a "real" one (it was a sort of stamp register thing that looked like a cog that you lifted and stamped again). I think that would make ones stamps go even further and would make a brilliant tone on tone look. Tone on tone just seems like it's automatically sophisticated.

    Really cute Lindsay. Question, once you use a brush for ink, how do you clean it, and can you use it for painting after it has been cleaned?

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  6 лет назад +2

      soap and water is fine and yes, you can use it with paint again

    really cute card & lots of tips. thanks. Question: what could I use to get the Bob Ross springtime looks he's done but without using any oil paints media? or is there anything? I was considering the water soluble oil paints, but then watched one of your videos and you said they still take a while to dry just as other oil paints. I just don't have the free space for that, but I do love the look of some of his landscape scenes. any suggestions would be nice. thanks you. sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

    Neat-o card! I have been on the pegstamp website so many time. I love what they have, but still haven't bought any purely because I can't make up my mind which ones to buy. I am drawn to the roses, because I love roses, but I like so many of the florals that I can't decide. See, guys get the "I don't know which to choose" syndrome, too. LOL!! Maybe I will just have to do the eenie, meenie thing and go for it!!

      Stardust girl: I would if I had a wife or a girlfriend. But alas, neither anymore. Death came early to my wife, and as far as girlfriends go, the pickings are pretty sparse in my hometown. At 70+, really not interested. Got my kids, grands, and my art. What more does a guy need?? Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind! Lol!!

      Jim Flack 🌻🌷🌻😇I'm so sorry to hear about your wife! I have worked with older singles for many years so I understand it's a very personal choich weather to remarry or stay single and do the grandparent thing so I totally understand! I think it's great you like craft stuff! I have learned a lot from my older singles friends! All the women want to remarry, because they never had a great husband! And are willing to look for happiness! But all the men with divorces, don't want to remarry at all, and the men who had great marriages, marry usually around the 3 year mark, looking for the happiness they once had! As for me I will NEVER remarry if I should be the one left,I have everything I could ever need in my life and happiness to last for all eternity !!! 🌻🌷🌻💜So I understand, I worked with a church group, of singles really great people! Take care! Maybe you can choose doing heads or tails, to get stuff!🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🦋

      Nothing like the scientific eenie- meenie approach! Lol
      I'm very sorry to hear about your wife, but it's great you have a creative outlet. But I just wanted to say my grandparents were married 52 years before grandpa passed away. About the same timeframe a family friend lost his wife and the next year my 78 year old grandmother got married again! You never know. :)

    Its a Tree Thing. I Know the feeling :P If it smudges just go with it and work it in the background as tree leaves shadow. It wont look out of place as you use it on focal point as well. I prefer solid,hehehe

    Where do you get paper to make envelopes? the stuff i have cracks and rips where it folds, I had to washi tape all the edges to fix the last one i made..

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  6 лет назад +1

      I use any paper that come in the 12x12 stacks, the thinner is better. I find scoring on the right side or outer edge where it will fold reduces cracking. The scored side with stretch more.
