Agree 100%. The S20 night shots obviously clearer, sharper, brighter and edges are much more defined. Just look at all the light features i.e. lamp posts etc.

This review was just laughable, especially the part he says the ip11 has sharper night mode shots while it was clearly with less details & blowing up anything that looked like a light bulb .
Both really good cameras Personally I really like how the iPhone controls the highlights (clouds) in the daytime pictures, but then I really like how the Samung does the same in the night mode (streetlights).
dynamic range in night mode was hugely better on the s20 in all pictures, for the colors I think you have the scene optimizer on in the s20, turning it off should make the colors much more closer to reality

Why do you call the iPhone landscape colors more close to reality when the iPhone has a very strong yellow greenish tint in the example picture around 1:30? It is very obvious also in the pictures at 3:22 and 3:29. The Samsung white balance is clearly more natural there. Also the S20 ultrawide is clearly better than the iPhone.

@MSD I agree. Oversharpening and too much noise reduction, magenta tint, clipping in highlights, HDR going nuts in nightmode creating huge halos, stabilization in video jumping around, bad DR in video etc. Not a big fan.

Samsung's HDR in night time pictures is way better which is really important since at night there are a lot of lights in the darkness and the iPhone doesnt expose them properly

@@kirsten7975 hi I have been using it for almost 3.5 years now, this is the longest I have had a phone, and it served me me well in the beginning in terms of image quality and content watching. But now it lags and battery health is poor, plus the camera is not up to mark compared with newer phones. Will upgrade this year. From user experience perspective there are tiny things like wifi not disconnecting, copy-paste often not working that used to drive me mad in the beginning.

It's funny that Samsung is trying to avoid clipped highlights this year because normally they are the ones with more clipped highlights. They do have a slight black crush sometimes.
I have just bought the s20 and I am massively disappointed with the camera. It is really poor. I bought it mainly for the camera which is advertised as being amazing but is definately not. Most photos are blurry and the phones software over - processes images leaving them grainy, blurry and looking like they are airbrushed. My Mrs has the iPhone 11 and the camera is far far superior. There is no comparison. Before buying an S20 please Google 'S20 camera blurry' and read about the countless disappointed customers.

I'm so damn tired of my friends with their dumb iPhone 6's telling me my android S20+ camera sucks. My S20+ beats all of their older iPhones except the 10 and 11 series since the S20 is basically a carbon copy. I'm hard-pressed to be able to accurately guess which photo was taken by the S20 and iPhone 11 unless I'm told which is which. The problem is that when uploading photos on Instagram or Snapchat, the app takes a screengrab of the camera view instead of directly uploading the photo itself, causing a MASSIVE downgrade in picture quality on any given Android device. One of Snapchat's CEOs was quoted for saying that android is for poor people only, so I think social media companies aren't optimizing for any androids whatsoever even though they easily can. Just search up up a video on android vs iOS Instagram and you'll see that it's not Samsung's fault the photos they upload are shitty; the devs are just hella fuckin lazy, and probably hate android in general due to apple fans being snarky about the self-actuated superiority they believe they have. I don't personally mind iPhone itself, but the fanatics piss me off with their 'holier than thou' attitude simply because they're tribalistic.

I have the 11 but genuinely the s20 looks way better bcs I realised the 11 produces very yellowish photos. I prefer the more saturated photos on the s20. Maybe changing to s20 soon
When ones said "choose from more close to reality(iphone) or more saturated(samsung)" photos, I think nowadays nobody post a raw images. Everyone always do some tuning, color adjustments etc. for a Instagram perfect posts 🤣 🤣
It’s funny you say the dynamic range looks better on the Samsung in every picture, but I thought the complete opposite.. the sky and clouds look far better on the iPhone when it’s bright with a darker foreground
The S20 actually won at photography for me, but it's very close. The iPhone is still the best at videography, but also at a small margin. They're both great phones.
the iphone selfies looked worse. i find both the front and rear camera on the iphone produce over sharpened images (perhaps this is why when you go to open the photo it is blurry for a second before becoming clear - its over processing it, just my thoughts, i could be wrong), making you believe that your image is "sharp", its just too noisy/grainy rather than actually being a good quality lens that gives you a sharp image quality, if that makes any sense. i've also compared both phones (bro has s20) and in some of the same daytime shots s20 looks better, then iphone, cant win. selfies are the same, but this video the s20 looks better in all of them (9:33 iphone is especially grainy and at 9:46 is not even focused, looks grainer but not as sharp as the s20) compared to iphone 7, i find that the iphone 11 photos are grainier/over sharpened which yes does look like its a sharper more detailed photo but its just too overdone. if i sharpened an identical photo on the 7, thats almost what the 11 photo looks like lol

yeah, possible, but most people don't even know what the scene optimizer is and what it does...so they will leave it on forever :)
Selfies in s20 looks good but in rear camera,both does almost the same performance.In some cases,I find the colours of Iphone 11 better than the s20.
I think both are extremely good, just boils down to what operating system you prefer.

Was super-steady enabled on the S20's 4k30 footage? Was it enabled at the nighttime footage?
super steady cannot be used for 4k recordings, only 1080p
iPhone takes photos as it looks in real life with the eyes, samsung saturates their photos, the temperature is very high, “cold and warm”.

Iphone is still the king of video. Samsungs photos much better and audio quality was much better
It's funny that Samsung is trying to avoid clipped highlights this year because normally they are the ones with more clipped highlights. They do have a slight black crush sometimes.
I have just bought the s20 and I am massively disappointed with the camera. It is really poor. I bought it mainly for the camera which is advertised as being amazing but is definately not. Most photos are blurry and the phones software over - processes images leaving them grainy, blurry and looking like they are airbrushed. My Mrs has the iPhone 11 and the camera is far far superior. There is no comparison. Before buying an S20 please Google 'S20 camera blurry' and read about the countless disappointed customers.

My brother in law has just bought an s20 and i played with its camera( im using a iphone 11 myself) and did not like the colors the grain and all from its camera. Im sure it can take fantastic pictures,but from what i can tell,the iphone takes consistently good pics whereas the s20 missed quiet a few.

I'm so damn tired of my friends with their dumb iPhone 6's telling me my android S20+ camera sucks. My S20+ beats all of their older iPhones except the 10 and 11 series since the S20 is basically a carbon copy. I'm hard-pressed to be able to accurately guess which photo was taken by the S20 and iPhone 11 unless I'm told which is which. The problem is that when uploading photos on Instagram or Snapchat, the app takes a screengrab of the camera view instead of directly uploading the photo itself, causing a MASSIVE downgrade in picture quality on any given Android device. One of Snapchat's CEOs was quoted for saying that android is for poor people only, so I think social media companies aren't optimizing for any androids whatsoever even though they easily can. Just search up up a video on android vs iOS Instagram and you'll see that it's not Samsung's fault the photos they upload are shitty; the devs are just hella fuckin lazy, and probably hate android in general due to apple fans being snarky about the self-actuated superiority they believe they have. I don't personally mind iPhone itself, but the fanatics piss me off with their 'holier than thou' attitude simply because they're tribalistic.

anti virus how is video better on the Samsung? I get that Samsung’s camera is probably better, but the photos still look better on the iPhone do to software. If Samsung fixes the camera software they probably win in the photo department but not video. There is a reason why Apple hasn’t implemented 8k and probably won’t until a few years. It is not ready, and almost nobody have 8k screens to watch it on

I have the 11 but genuinely the s20 looks way better bcs I realised the 11 produces very yellowish photos. I prefer the more saturated photos on the s20. Maybe changing to s20 soon

S20 is way to superior for iphone 11 Video and photos. (5g, 120hz, display, Ram, Storage, DEX, Multitasking, cameras Sensor and cellular strength.

The S20 actually won at photography for me, but it's very close. The iPhone is still the best at videography, but also at a small margin. They're both great phones.

the iphone selfies looked worse. i find both the front and rear camera on the iphone produce over sharpened images (perhaps this is why when you go to open the photo it is blurry for a second before becoming clear - its over processing it, just my thoughts, i could be wrong), making you believe that your image is "sharp", its just too noisy/grainy rather than actually being a good quality lens that gives you a sharp image quality, if that makes any sense.
i've also compared both phones (bro has s20) and in some of the same daytime shots s20 looks better, then iphone, cant win. selfies are the same, but this video the s20 looks better in all of them (9:33 iphone is especially grainy and at 9:46 is not even focused, looks grainer but not as sharp as the s20)
compared to iphone 7, i find that the iphone 11 photos are grainier/over sharpened which yes does look like its a sharper more detailed photo but its just too overdone. if i sharpened an identical photo on the 7, thats almost what the 11 photo looks like lol
