IDK if any of you watch A Million Little Things on ABC and on the last episode a couple who went through a lot in this first season of the show were seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and he was thinking about kids as the missing piece for them as they were car shopping. His wife said "I want everything you want, but I don't want this." And I can't wait for the show to come back and see what's next for them
Thank you Loni. Not all men, I've been out here looking after Myself from the age of 15. I had to pay my own bills, get myself through school. So I'm glad that Loni spoke up, because I was lowkey triggered 😂😂😂
I actually believe these days a lot of women don’t want kids because of pressure of raising them, fear of pain or going into labor, or maybe feel being unequipped... many couples buy a dog instead of having children because they feel like they’re not ready, but I actually think more men these days are wanting kids more than women!! Women also have rights to their own bodies which has changed things.....men love to be providers or at least feel they’re doing something productive or making some kind of contribution, which fits the role of the father! They say a lot on this show that you need to be older to do this or that, but the reality of it is that it’s usually easier to have kids when you’re younger and when it comes to parenting, you just learn as you go!!!!
This is another example of society medicalizing immaturity among men. It is not a biological issue, it’s simply comes down to gender roles and responsibilities. Women from a very early age were socialized into having formal responsibilities that were essential to mental growth and maturity. Males on the other hand were trained to make money and that’s pretty much all that they were responsible for. Our brains are not different, they don’t work differently! Society is the cause of this difference in gender maturity.
Men have biological clocks too ! I mean John Stamos was thinking of having a child even though he is somewhat a older gentlemen and I don’t mind men being mindful about their future , and wanting something to look back on and have people in their life they love and leave a legacy ( if they then have kids ) that can take care of them
Biological clocks dont exist(when used as the defense of when it comes to having kids or not) its just a dumb term people made up to make it seem like you cant resist the urge to have a kid. And your kids aren't obligated to take care of you lol
Tianna Miller well women were not allowed to participate in politics or enter powerful positions for hundreds of years lol. this created a political sphere of nepotism and sexism that stills bars women from entering. i get you’re agreeing with dr drew, but saying it’s because men are in power isn’t a valid reason.
It’s actually true. If you open up a psychology book on brain development you will see for yourself that your prefrontal cortex hasn’t fully developed. Starting from age 18 when many make risky decisions.

Actually we have a "dumbing down" culture too. We just teach men that "oh you're just a baby", "you're too tiny", 'you're just a kid" etc etc even when they are way past 25, which also contributes to their mind not developing. When men are taught early on in their lives that they are the head of the family, even as older brothers, and they are responsible for their sisters and mother, then such men in such societies do settle down and do become mature at around 21-26 years old. It really depends on your surroundings. American culture just keeps dumbing men down, and thats why they mature later in life as compared to men in some other countries. And frankly speaking, this has go to stop. We need to teach men to be responsible, and caring, from a younger age, just as we do with women.
Is is JUST scientific ? I feel the environment where you live plays a role as well, your background plays a role as well. Also, I feel that a lot of times there is lot more expected from a girl when she's growing up. As a boy, I've heard the idea "boys will be boys" in different ways. The other thing is there's a some pressure on women when they're approaching their 30s, pressure that comes from society: "are you single ? why are you single ? are you married ? do you have kids ? etc. " Basically, the idea is "don't waste your time, settle down". It cleary shouldn't be that way. While, for men, a lot of times it is not put into question if he's in his 30s unmarried without a child. He doesn't feel the societal pressure, so he takes more time to do what he wants to do.
Alec Baldwin is not the best example in my opinion. John Stamos for sure. I mean i'm not sure Alec wanted to have more kids. He married a younger woman in her 30's so there is more chance she's going to want children. 🤷🏾♀️ Same thing with Georges. Did they really want kids or did they have to compromise due to their wife's younger age.. Either way it's still a blessing. Especially when you have health and money!
Yeah having babies w an old man is just hmm but then again they have the moneyy so he doesn't need to stay up changing diapers. Also I'm sure the old men could've found someone who didn't want kids if that was their choise. Having offsprings is a huge decision; one that those in the higher class take more seriously than the rest of the population so I doubt they did it as a "compromise". I actually think it was a well calculated decision & getting a young wife to continue the family fortune & make sure the kids are alright once ole man is gone.

I knew this but it amazes me that Adrienne never heard that damn she’s in her 30’s.Im sorry but I just wonder if Adrienne will experience the unplanned things that happen in life? Because she seems to think everything in life makes sense and that you have control over it.Life doesn’t always make sense and everything doesn’t necessarily go the way you plan it.Lol
It kinda makes sense. I got married at 21 and so did my husband at 21. My husband was very focused on tuning his cars and not worrying about being a good husband and father (he tried but i could tell he was more concerned about working on hos cars.) He had to mature abit since we had a child but i did notice that around age 27,28 that the cars took a back seat and he started to become waaay more focused on his family. He started to make wiser finacially decisions and just in general made better choices. I have to agree with this doctor.
I think they just give men an excuse to not be mature! Years ago men seemed to have their self half way together, just like women, when they were held accountable.
We don’t air this show in UK so I just watch the clips on here. I’m not sure if they post the clips chronologically from each day or they’re in a random order, so I was just wondering if Tamera has certain days off? She’s the only one that seems to be missing a lot. 😊
I think it has a lot to do with culture and personality. I’m from Kansas and I can think of 6 people I knew from HS who are now engaged and we live in a pretty major area.
Well, now I know why and it really makes sense to me right now because My husband wants to have another baby again and I think I'm not ready for another one yet.
My friend broke up with her boyfriend (both black despite what Loni says🤗) because he wanted to get married and have kids immediately. He was in his early 30s with an established career and she was in her mid twenties in grad school. Needless to say, she wasn’t ready, and he was pushy. I’d say it’s true men also have bio clocks.
This has nothing to do with science is has everything to do with culture. Men are told from a very early age that they can do anything with little to no consequence while girls are raised to be responsible. Men then decide to have kids when they're old and gray and they usually want a younger woman because they know they can wait even longer to have kids. Because it makes sense for a man to father a child when he's 50 and older. Where are the child's grandparents to be a guide and instill community values? By the time the father is 70 the child is barely 20 or 15 and the much younger mother would have divorced the father and remarried a younger man closer to her age or younger. Then the old father complains about women and divorce etc... and how everything is women's fault and he isn't to blame or responsible for anything. Reverting once again to how he was raised without any sense of responsibility. Culture and Hollywood.
I hate the stereotypical narratives put on us straight black men. We all think like this from young, it's that parents are getting less involved and morality is dying. Guyalogical clocks are always relevant depending on upbringing. Ladies, go for the man that has respect and values.
First Ade says it’s got more to do with time than a right woman why a man settles down, then she says that there is a woman that makes them act right no matter the time? Adrienne make up your mind please.
So are men not responsible for anything they do until they're 28? Like men who are under 28 and who habitually cheat, rape or assault others, abuse, etc. etc. .. they did those things because they were able to process "consequences and executive functions" yet? I'm curious as to how far this argument really goes...
My boyfriend have is own house, good job and also studying and he was 27 and i was 21 and in university and he really wanted to married and start a family.
There’s a strong cultural difference in the black community. A lot of men intentionally have kids in their 20s more than you would think and before marriage
I find it extremely annoying hiw men are in such a rush to have kids and want to have damn 10 kida when literally the only thing he has to do is have sex......
Feel likes its all bout social pressure....men & women(but women more) are pressured by when they should have babies. Men are told to worry bout their career & till they stable while women told at like 26 when you gonna start havin babies😅
I believe it to be true however this generation is just no responsible ppl don’t teach their kids how to be independent. I’m teaching my children independence at a young age. At 10 I was bathing dressing and making food for my little cousins. Changing diapers and helping. I was very responsible at a young age. My kids will learn to cook and fend for themselves early. These parents are over carrying their children I feel that’s why they are immature and not ready for marriage in some cases

It’s true men would rather commit to having a baby before committing to marriage, makes no sense.
I'm 60 I don't want kids everytime I think I do I hang around with somebody who has them and that snaps my brain back into common sense
Lots of "men" under 28 in jail for adult crimes. BS.
I believe it, I heard a lot of men say they don’t wanna wait until their 30s to start having kids, they wanna start having kids at 25.
Now...are these Millennials though? Cuz I thought they said in another clip, we weren't having sex😂
He was right when he said NEVER, they are never ready, they usually forced to😂😂😂
I think they just give men an excuse to not be mature! Years ago men seemed to have their self half way together, just like women, when they were held accountable.
“According to a team of scientists...here we go again” 😂😂😂😂.
We don’t air this show in UK so I just watch the clips on here. I’m not sure if they post the clips chronologically from each day or they’re in a random order, so I was just wondering if Tamera has certain days off? She’s the only one that seems to be missing a lot. 😊
Not true this show and Wendy Williams is on the BET channel in UK, we're only about three episodes behind.
I think it has a lot to do with culture and personality. I’m from Kansas and I can think of 6 people I knew from HS who are now engaged and we live in a pretty major area.
Loni is NOT here for Dr. Drew! 🤣🤣🤣 hilarious!
" you know they ain't test no black men in this study" 🤣😂🤣
Haha i know a girl with an immature boyfriend and they have a kid together and he wants her to have another but she doesn't want to. Theyre a messss!
Well, now I know why and it really makes sense to me right now because My husband wants to have another baby again and I think I'm not ready for another one yet.
It's probably because men don't do any of the work when it comes to actually pushing out and taking care of the kid! lol
Loni’s face!😂
I need answers, why do men think having a child is less commitment than getting married?
Bc its not a commitment for the man, not in the same level that it is for the women.
Im 25 and im already thinking about a kid 🥰🥰 and having my business and my house 😁
I think there’s guys who want children more than women these days....
Waw !!! Loni is more and more stunning! Shine baby! SHIIIIINE!!
Loni keeping it 💯 👏🏼 prefrontal cortex .. mmkkaayy
I believe it because my husband wanted kids since we got married.
My husband was more mature so he wanted to get married young we still together 10 yrs later
I’m 25 and married and I Don’t want kids rn.
Jeannie be strong in this topic!!!😔👊
This show with dr drew on it permanently would be even better! Love dr drew!!!
Yes my husband been tellig me, im get you pregnant today ... yall im 2 months pregnant
🤣🤣🤣
I hate the stereotypical narratives put on us straight black men. We all think like this from young, it's that parents are getting less involved and morality is dying. Guyalogical clocks are always relevant depending on upbringing. Ladies, go for the man that has respect and values.
I definitely agree with men being locked up but I think they should be locked up until age 30 not 28 lol
So glad my man does not have baby fever haha
They do they really do. My husband wanted a child badly
First Ade says it’s got more to do with time than a right woman why a man settles down, then she says that there is a woman that makes them act right no matter the time? Adrienne make up your mind please.
And I say they not ready till 30 🤣
My husband was 23 when me and him got married and he’s been very mature since day one. He’s more mature than me. 😫😐
So are men not responsible for anything they do until they're 28? Like men who are under 28 and who habitually cheat, rape or assault others, abuse, etc. etc. .. they did those things because they were able to process "consequences and executive functions" yet? I'm curious as to how far this argument really goes...
My husband wanted a kid hella quick. 😭😭
Loni we do have them.... I want a baby.... by the time I’m 35 lol 😂😂😂
Good luck I already turned 35 in January lol 😂
Nobody:.....
Loni: BLACK men bla bla bla and BLACK people bla bla bla
My boyfriend have is own house, good job and also studying and he was 27 and i was 21 and in university and he really wanted to married and start a family.
let me guess.... you got turned off
@@etf42 lol
@@etf42 education was more important
i knew it
Jeannie will have a baby in due time , and she'll be a wonderful mother.
I don't think so because I know what men want . God's timing
There’s a strong cultural difference in the black community. A lot of men intentionally have kids in their 20s more than you would think and before marriage
Nah I found myself an older man exactly coz I knew he wouldn't want children.
NEVER!!!! lol I agree
My boyfriend is 24 and he really wants a baby! Not all men think the same
Wanting one doesn't mean he's actually ready for one. A lot of men are into an idea of something but don't want to actually put in the effort.
@@kinndah2519 No one is ever 'ready' to be a parent. People just think they are
I find it extremely annoying hiw men are in such a rush to have kids and want to have damn 10 kida when literally the only thing he has to do is have sex......
Throughout this whole clip Jeanie is just sitting there like.. "mhm can't relate"
Feel likes its all bout social pressure....men & women(but women more) are pressured by when they should have babies.
Men are told to worry bout their career & till they stable while women told at like 26 when you gonna start havin babies😅
Loni that hair is👌🏽
Loni looking like a whole snack today
Swiss roll?
Dion Harder thicker than a snickers
I believe it to be true however this generation is just no responsible ppl don’t teach their kids how to be independent. I’m teaching my children independence at a young age. At 10 I was bathing dressing and making food for my little cousins. Changing diapers and helping. I was very responsible at a young age. My kids will learn to cook and fend for themselves early. These parents are over carrying their children I feel that’s why they are immature and not ready for marriage in some cases
Loni's just use to Thot this and Thot that.
Never 😂😂 wow straight up just being honest I love that
I know someone that wants a baby like tomorrow, lol
Who knew....girl anyone that picks up a book
Loni hates him 😂😭
Loni is a comedian guys!
