    I think all this HP inflation is the worst thing that could happen in endgames these days. Obviously people want to get the new characters, but if Firefly, Acheron, and the hunt girl, who are just Acheron 2.0, become worse each new update, then players will probably give up on the meta chasing or the entire game, and this isn't 2020 anymore, a lot of gachas are coming with more or equiparable quality of hoyo games.

    Superbreak reminds me of Hyperbloom in Genshin. Its a high floor low ceiling team that is incredibly strong for low investment players. I think why both of these team archtypes are so decisive is that it made the effort required to clear endgame content so much lower to the point of making previous crit builds less necessary. We can see something similar happening right now in ZZZ with Anomaly/Disorder teams. Its power floor is just too high for the effort required to use them. Even if Crit builds have higher ceilings its much harder to upgrade crit builds vs EM Hyperbloom/Superbreak/Anomaly.

      I would say it’s low floor high ceiling in that case

    I just hate how much of break's focus was on firefly. Like moc kept repeating the triple marionettes. Multiple apocs where both sides were to fire. How she got her own break planar set, while boothill and rappa have to use talia (A 1.0 set), which is worse in every possible way. Fugue and lingsha both being fire element. Having the easiest implant out of the 3 break dps (rappa didnt even get an implant). It just sucks to see a single character get glazed this much when complete archetypes are ignored for numerous patches.

    People saying skill issue then immediately followed by "you skipped the right units" is the most dumbest shit, I should still be able to clear the MoC even with less stars and not be outright unplayable without the proper units. Why should I even pull for a character I'll be using for a few patches only to be replaced when a x.0 patch comes around?

    • @Minuey
      @Minuey 12 часов назад +1

      There are two sides imo.
      I 33% agree with the "you didn't pull the right units." Characters like Robin, Sunday, and/or Ruan Mei are *needed* for the casual playerbase. If you don't have at least one of them, it's kind of your fault. I understand that in Robin's and Ruan Mei's cases in particular, nobody knew that they would age so well. But they both already had a rerun, so if you have neither by now in fear of them "getting replaced by the next harmony unit" or "I don't have that archetype," then it's your fault. Ruan Mei doesn't HAVE to be in a break team to function well, and Robin doesn't NEED to be in a FuA comp to function well. Sunday is expected to age very, very well given the upcoming summon meta that's been plastered everywhere.
      Harmony units are by far the most valuable characters to have in your account. Tingyun, Bronya, and Sparkle still have some relevancy, even if they're aging a little. I mean, I still use Sparkle for my E0S1 Acheron team, even though people are starting to say Sparkle is falling off, yet I'm still 4 cycling stuff, and could 3 cycle if I had better relics (I don't farm for my Acheron team anymore). It's not ideal, but it gets the job done. It's not like Acheron without her BiS supports just can't clear content anymore.
      Certain characters are also considered luxury pulls, like Topaz. By luxury, I mean giving teams more oomph, rather than being a core component that fundamentally changes how a team plays. This means that if you are F2P, you should ideally skip them if you want to "future proof" your team a little more
      I 66% disagree with "you didn't pull the right units" because f2p players just don't get enough pulls per patch, especially at the rate with how fast 5 stars are releasing. Yes, F2P players get about ~130 pulls, but ~20 of those are standard tickets, so that's ~110 limited banner pulls. If it was ~150 limited banner pulls per patch (as much as a monthly/BP spender gets), this would at least give F2P players a little wiggle room when making decisions on who to pull. It would also just give them more characters in general, which is always nice.
      Of course, the end game shouldn't be as bad as it is. The fact is, the end game is designed around having either a full FuA archetype or full break archetype, and if you don't have at least one, then you are kind of screwed. Even with high investment units (I'm talking E1 and E2), and signature light cones, it's still fairly hard to 0 cycle or even 1 cycle without having a deep understanding of game mechanics. Imagine how it is for the general playerbase; it'll take them 3 cycles MINIMUM unless you're doing wonky DDD and Eagle set ups

    the very obvious firefly superbreak catering was definitely my reason to hating it. Not only did we have to fight those damn triplets for several months back to back but almost everything was weak to fire. No variety at all for endgame since firefly released.

    Personally it's more like a new mechanic was introduced for 1 particular character. Which is what you said is what will cause these problems.
    Yet everything before that gets ignored. Especially when the gameplay revolves around 4 characters and some characters introduce niche mechanics. While Superbreak sticks out before that we had what Sparkle tried to introduce with adding more skill points followed by what we are gonna see in 3.0 with summons/pets/servants.
    There is still other mechanics in the game that focus on particular characters like Dots with Kafka, Follow up with Clara, Himeko/Herta. Whatever the others will fall under such as mono quantum, Blade's niche, Jing Yuans niche, Adventurine etc etc. All these playstyles will get overlooked because of the party comp, gear rng, and so on that will play a part that overall people wont enjoy or have the money to whale on to properly experience some of the comps. So some will feel left out because their preferred playstyle will get forgotten and ignored in favor of hoyos fotm.
    It's a shame that even if we do get these free 5* characters and the 5* selectors there will still be a grind behind it that doesn't feel rewarding unless you are doing everything optimally as a f2p player every single day.
    Since launch til now I barely have a 2nd team I can go in with confidence but its not as good as my main team and they both still feel lacking mainly cause of the lack of superimposing LC and full Eidolon.
    Yet that's just my opinion on the matter.

    If it was not so overtuned, and had a more steady build to power ratio like crit builds do, I think it would've been a lot more accepted and less hated. The biggest problem I have with it is how strong it is for how accessible it is.

  • @DeathTheWolfxten8

    I think the real reason super real is hated is not that it was strong but it was the only niche that was getting supported. People are BEGGING for the dot archetype to get a damage buff or some mechanic to take Dot to the next level and on top of that a majority of the 1.0 hypercarry dps have just been left to rot with no real “broken” support to buff them. Acheron survived being a hypercarry dps because she’s strong af at her core and follow survived because like super break follow up niche has been getting a ton of strong support. My best example of this is look at Jingyuan now look how this man has grown he finally gets Sunday a support that covers his weaknesses and all of a sudden he’s tier 0. It was lucky coincidence but this is what I mean like where are the busted hypercarry supports where’s the dot supports where the health drain support. Both blade and Jingliu seemed like they were gonna set up a health drain archetype and then nothing came of it. Like the hp inflation is not really an issue it’s the fact that all the attention and support were given to follow up and superbreak. So only those 2 niches could scale with the hp inflation and nothing else. The second Sunday came out jingyuan of all people can deal with the hp inflation.

    • @DeathTheWolfxten8
      @DeathTheWolfxten8 11 часов назад

      Sparkle should have been the “Sunday” for hypercarry but I believe they too scared to have drastic power creep like that I mean sparkle was pre superbreak so that Pandora’s box wasn’t fully opened yet.

    its simply same thing as hyperbloom from genshin, both games have units specialized in the gameplay type but also can be accessed easily by other characters aswell for quick easy build and good damage dealing builds, problem is that the required investment for the amount of damage is too easy and good compared to other build types

    • @hoanhaimai6377
      @hoanhaimai6377 19 часов назад +1

      That's not his point you know? People are hating Break because of the fact its existence affects the endgame contents' setups, powercreeping every traditional damage dealer.
      Hyperbloom sure was OP, but it didn't affect Abyss setups. If you want a relevant to Break in GI, it's actually Neuvillette. After he came out, the powercreep process in GI became feel-able. Permafreeze became non-exist, Mono Geo feels like a joke, even National teams feel less of a menace. He really was a breakpoint in GI history, comparable to Firefly.

      @@ripmymentall If the playstyle isn't fun for them then shouldn't they just... not play it? What's the harm? The release of Super Break doesn't make Crit DPSes any less valuable. Acheron and Feixiao are considered top DPS along with Firefly and they're both Crit-based. Robin, who is considered the best support in the game, exponentially increases the damage dealt by Crit and DoT teams while being considered useless for Break teams but nobody is complaining about that. I'm not a fan of Firefly because she's the easiest one to play among the 3 break DPS. Like, you only need to hit one skill and go ultimate then just attack! She get easy fire weakness implant on the enemies unlike the other two.
    Plus, I hate the fact the Iron Cavalry set just got change because of her release when they could have make it at least fully usable for Boothill. Before anyone come at me, yes, Boothill can still use it but I wish the full effects can be activated without the need HMC or Fugue for Boothill >>
    Also, whose great ideas to make the planar set to be focusing on fire weakness? Like bruh.
    I don't hate the break meta but I do have some dislike towards Firefly and her fans >>

    • @MalciferMephisto
      @MalciferMephisto 12 часов назад

      For the planar set, you could argue that for characters like Boothill and Rappa, Talia is still a good set to use other than Forge since both characters do focus on speed. The 4% difference in BE isn't significant. Your thoughts on the Iron Cavalry set is justified though. The only thing I find weird about your opinion is how you're not a fan of FF because she's "easy" to use. I'm not disagreeing with it, I just think the difficulty of a character is a weird thing to fixate on. Maybe you're trying to say easy to use characters aren't fun to play with? Oh well, it's your account at the end of the day.

      @MalciferMephisto I got other reasons for why I dislike her. Those are some of them actually. Another reason is her way when she's with our MC. I feel like the devs pushing her to us and making her somewhat clingy to us.
      Furthermore, we could have got an awesome robot as a character. Like, I was disappointed when know the fact she's piloting S.A.M. and now, I'm getting tired the fact some memes of her being this yandere gf or she's behind the mask of Capitano. I like the idea of a playable cool robot since we might get Screwllum as an example but then, it's just Firefly going into her mech suit. I feel like both Firefly and S.A.M fans felt this when they want them to be individuals rather than be the same person but I won't deny that there are also people fine with it.
      Just to make it clear about the whole she's easy to use. I don't like the fact she just seems broken without anything to hold her back. Like Acheron at least needs to wait her stacks to go ultimate. But Firefly? She's easy to go into her ultimate and use her enhanced skill to implant fire weakness. The only thing that can stop her is if weakness bar is covered from us breaking them and that's like rare happening.
      Also, her fans are quite >> Well, unlikeable (some of them or even most). I remember the fact they even want Fugue purposely only usable for her rather than can be a bit more for others >>
