Me, my mum and dad each got a Thai massage when we went for a month-long holiday in Thailand and it helped my dad the most, him being a psychotherapist at the time and having a lot of stress in his work - That night when he went to sleep, he put his head on the pillow, put his hand on my mum's hand and fell asleep immediately. He told us this the next morning, and said he hadn't fallen asleep like that since he was six.
I get a massage about once a month. My last one was a Thai massage. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was one of the best and most instant back pain relieving massages I have ever had. I am looking forward to another one and will probably only get a Thai massage from now on.
For who don't know about massage our body muscle need to massage at least once per month to stretch if you keep do it routine your body will hard to get pain while your age is above 30++
@@conor-_C It's different. Swedish Massage works on massaging the surface and mid depth muscle fibers to relax them. With Thai Massage it's deep tissue massage and assisted stretching. The massage therapist will use their elbow to really dig into the deep muscle knots and will bend you into max stretching positions. You'll feel achy and soar immediately after, like you've just done a marathon, but your heart and breathing won't be tired. It's like if you tense up all your muscles for 30secs when in bed then release and feel heavy and relaxed after. It's like that but times 100. When you lay in bed you'll feel like you're sinking and sleep like a baby.
I am a Thai Massage therapist as well as a Pilates instructor... I would suggest to anyone who has back pain to NOT only do passive movements. Muscles support your joints and learning proper function will also be key in the long term solution of chronic back pain :-)
I've had one of these massages after a shoulder injury. I told the woman who was doing the massage and she focused some time on the affected area and boy was it excruciating , but it worked. My shoulder pain completely went away after that day. I was happily surprised.
It may be different in the tourist areas but BEWARE a proper Thai massage can be painful. The first time i had one the only time (2 hour massage) the massage didn't hurt was when he massaged my ears!! If you have not experienced one I would suggest that you make sure the masseur is aware that you want to take it easy and say "bow bow". i'm sorry but if anyone tells you that they are relaxing and nice I would kindly suggest that they have not had a proper Thai massage ! Whilst some of the massage can be relaxing a lot of it is anything but and involves a lot of stretching, pushing, pulling and deep massage rubbing which can be anything but relaxing. I live in Thailand (outside the tourist areas) and have had many Thai massages to help me with a back muscle problem and whilst the massage helps and i am willing to push myself i always make sure to "bow bow" before we begin (not sure if it helps mind you)!. Another word you might find useful for a masseur who doesn't speak any English is JEB which effectively means that hurts!. i'm not saying don't have a Thai massage by please be prepared.
Omgosh thanks so much for this comment cause I’ve always wondered what massage I experienced once in London (I just go and ask for a massage for as long as possible 😅) and there was a point I was SO afraid my ribs were gonna give… my masseuse was had a small frame and just, wow… I left feeling good once I got over the anxiety lol… I should’ve said something but it’s ok… next time 😅
Been there today but never felt more pain in my whole life. Not sure if i want to go do it again. This looks so much more relaxing then what I have experienced.
Thai Massage is amazing. I feel reborn after it. I would not compare it a regular massage at all, removes the pain once its over. It's like a regular massage times 20.
I just had one for the first time today. Yes, it was painful, but it was the best and most thorough massage I have ever had. Regular deep tissue massages don’t hold a candle to this. I was making so many noises in that room, my nose was stuffy, and I was drooling. Embarrassing. Lol
Hm.. That's a new info. Here in the Philippines thai massage is very common. we love it and it's very relaxing. It's very common in asian countries. It kinda feel weird at first with all the stretching but the results are good.
As a Spa and Thai Massage venue in Bangkok. We are very impressed by the quality of your expertise in Thai Massage. 🙏Check out the Amazing Thai Warrior Massage
If you are suffering any kind of pain/illness, you would also be well advised to have a competent dowser check your place of sleeping/sitting for Geopathic Stress Zones.
Did this massage once and I was very sure that it was my last day on earth when they started twisting my neck. But it was so much worth it afterwards my body was more relaxed
I personally love this. But being a therapist as well, I would not just jump on everyone this way right away. I would not do this on the first meeting as well to ppl with former injuries, with ostheoporosis, arthrosis, long time no physical activities and ppl hyper mobile. With all those, and the list is not complete, I would first do standard massage, then PIR ( post isometric relaxation), and only then evaluate if this could be applied. Again, me myself, being a healthy and active person, I love it. And my clients, to whom I feel safe providing this, love it too.
OMG thank you for this video I nearly booked that massage without knowing what it entailed 😂🤣 I would have of been very perplexed and angry if someone climbed on me. lol, wow I learnt something new today. I'm sure her back feels good.
It was my girls birthday so we tried this my god it’s so good for our session they soak our feet as well then pop your feet they also adjust your back but the neck message was amazing I didn’t know the girl was walking on me I thought it was her hands
Just came out of my first one holy shit that was painful, but also very relieving. I don’t suffer from any sort of back pain nor do I do a lot of traditional massages because I don’t really like to be touched so this was definitely a challenge for me, but it was a birthday gift so I went for it.. it was actually quite crazy and I definitely feel my muscles
It's without a doubt the best massage you'll ever experience. We go monthly, and have the couples massage - we pay £140 for 90 minutes each. That's a hell of a crazy bargin. Or, its £90 for an hour. It's well worth having the 90 minutes as it gives the masseuse more time to work and not rush, this means your body gets a really thorough MOT 😊💆♀️ 🙏🕉🧘♀️ Beats any Western massage hands down.
This is the only massage that I get. If you're eves in San Diego go to Essence Thai Massage. Ami was the best! This is the only massage style that helped my back pain significantly.
Need to tell people more about the Buddha's doctor. Besides massage, it's said some guy had a headache so he cut his head open to pour in butter and wash the brain.
I am a professional level sportsman and spent months in Thailand and hoped to relax with massages after running races but was extremely disappointed with the one massage routine fits all tourists approach....I ended up more soar and with enflamed nerves instead of feeling better.
I've had a massage like this before. It was not relaxing at all. It was actually painful and a horrible experience. I felt very sore and in pain afterwards. It was actually emotionally traumatizing. I wouldn't recommend it. Just give me the regular relaxing massage, maybe with some hot stones. This style of massage is rough and not for everyone. Definitely felt like I needed a massage after that massage to undo what was done, but at that point I had already spent a lot of money, so I just suffered through for the next few days.
I wish I saw this video before I went today for my first Thai massage, when the therapist was on my back I was thinking "I know this woman is not standing on my back 😡" lol.
Dammit i just want this corona virus to end! I sooo want a massage, my back is hurting like hell’s fire. My face is a forest and my eyebrows are little caterpillars that need to be threaded and waxed. Goooooosh, i miss it. No. I NEED meself some tender lovin care from my beauty therapists!!!!! I had my first Thai massage in Thailand and it was the best! It's now my favorite kind of massage.

Thanks for the tip
yeah i've had deep tissue massages that hurts more than they relaxes you.
Thai massage is for more of a: Crack your bones and make your body feel flexible and loose kind of thing, not really a massage to relax you.

Go do pushups

As a Thai we usually massage once a month or after a hard working week 😊
NYC- where you pay more for a spa Thai massage than actually flying to Thailand to have a real Thai massage...

Confused as to why a massage originated from India is called a Thai massage.
Im Thai but I also dont have an answer u too 555
Because we indians lost the technique but somehow Thai people are practicing
So that if something goes wrong, we can blame thai
Its originally from India.
In Recent days, the only state in india( kerla) that does it.
