    Just ordered mine - $39 on Amazon Prime. Like most of the My Arcade minis, it will have it's control flaws but I enjoy collecting them for a nostalgia break now and then. Let's see how the Tiny Arcade could do there actual SF2 arcade, there are multiple version of S60/Jar/Java they could incorporate. There is SF2CE that has easy special moves and auto block, then there is another SF2CE that need to do the actual motion inputs.

    I, too, own one. I love this little guy. It’s a great little toy, and would be a nice gift for a fighting game fan /odd game collector…or any Street Fighter Fan. If you think that you want this, you do.
    The best ONLY way to play this, in my opinion, is to lay on your back in bed, the sofa, on the floor by the fire with your dog, and balance it on your chest. No, you can’t sit in a chair and whale away at it. Or at a table, that would be ridiculous.
    What you CAN do is play a few quick rounds during teevee commercials, or mindlessly kick away while you rot your brain with RUclips true crime before bed. This might also be a fun unexpected present for your child- a little nostalgic glimpse from what made your birthday or holiday 35 years ago. Recommended highly, and great enthusiastic video.

      @@GenXGrownUp Hey Jon! Well I have you to give a big thanks(and my wife to blame lol) for really igniting and kick starting it all. Always been a 80's fan growing up in that decade and just holds a special place in my heart. I started and planned(initially) to make a mini homage to 80's gaming with the My Arcade collecting. Well that didn't scratch my itch too long and while waiting for the My Arcade Street Fighter II for so long, I made an impulse buy when I see the Arcade1up Street Fighter II Championship Edition on clearance on Amazon. While waiting for shipping and heading to BestBuy to get a riser, the Pacman 40th Edition Arcade1up magically ended up in back of my car! 😅 Well I knew my 100% or nothing gene would kick in and then led to Golden Axe 4 player, NBA Jam, Outrun, and Attack from Mars and Star Wars virtual pinballs now make up my current(shhh don't tell the Mrs). Still got space for more but don't want to wedge them in side by side, because my take is you really have to showcase the beautiful side art on these cabs.
      Now with the help of cool modern lighting, doing some cool led strips and bulbs lighting, all programmable. My wife even fed the addiction last week on my bday ordering me a custom arcade sign, I legit cast iron full size gumball machine, and Pacman shirt...so she's on board now! I'm officially calling it the SHarcade. It's been a blessing during covid and once all the naysayers walk through the door, the are lost within 2 minutes of retro gaming. It's also so amazing seeing my two nephews(7 & 9) getting to taste what we all got to experience in the 80's. Galaga has become my nephews new favorite game and he has access to Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and tablets...which warms my heart to see just how great those games still hold up. And there's something magical to see my 70 year old mom and 9 year old nephew grinning ear to ear while gaming.

    Hi @GenXGrownUp am I imagining things, or did I see at 8:03-4 when you do jump forward strong, you got a jump forward jab instead? I asked because I am having the same "defect" when I hold my joystick at up+right position and press strong (medium), I got jab(weak) instead. Same thing when I hold my joystick at down+right, pressing forward(medium) will give me a short(weak). I think it is a weird connection problem, but all other directions and button combinations are fine... can you confirm it is only me that have the defective unit? Thanks in advance.

    For the price, would this be something to get instead of the RepliCade SF2?

      No Super Turbo on this though.

    • @OuterHavenMedia
      @OuterHavenMedia 3 года назад

      Yes. This unit is very playable because of the large joystick and buttons. The RepliCade, while nice for display, is not playable. I ended up selling mine.

      I think those two really fit in two different categories. This is an expensive toy, while the RepliCade is a mid-priced premium collectible. I personally like the RepliCade better, but for triple the price it had better be good! 😊

    I got this amazing product. Now, the controls? Huh, am I the only one who never had any issues with the Joystick? It was doing exactly what I wanted it to do...... hahahah

    They should sel a handheld version wit dpad like they did wit contra , would be lot easier to play than this. Well I have arcade1up street fighter cab so no reason to buy this but if I didn’t have that , I’d get this

      The mainstreaming of 100%-authentic handheld emulation devices (like these: amzn.to/3euvHxR) will likely be the next great wave of retro collecting. At least I hope that's the case.
