Nice review and awesome terrain. My first day on my Troy was North Vancouver tech....about a week ago. It felt like I had been on this bike for years. Tight corners, steep chunder, off camber roots, quick up and overs. It really feels at home there.

Great vid! Terrain is similar to what I ride on Vancouver Island, ie a lot of slow tech. Just bought a 2020 Troy GX and can't wait to get it out on the trails. Seems like the perfect all mountain rig based on geo and components.

My Django is very stout as well. I’m really liking Devinci!

NJ thank you. I like the looks of most of those trails but the boulder climbing would slay me. Great technique on the huge rock. I didn't see any roots, but it may have been because it was fall. I was waiting for a new entry level devinci to be released this year, a remake from 2018. But I couldn't wait, i got a lightweight Felt on sale. One of my requirements was weight and a low budget, which is difficult. I needed to shave some pounds off my old hardtail for the long climbs. I will check out my geometry and compare to see if i can understand more of what you were saying on the handling. I went with a 27.5 for handling as my old bike is a 26 and i thought the 29 was too much for me, especially since my skill doesn't require more speed to push it.

Wonderful bike that has the sense of a Enduro but still very good for the trails. made biking fun for me again. would I prefer Shimano drive train over Sram? of course yes, but the Sram will do till I get the coins to switch.

    Switchblade or Troy?

Very similar bikes you can't go wrong with either. Love my Switchblade but might build up a Troy alloy also since I can swap the superboost wheels.
