Yeah I know this is rather cheeky, but watching your video of catching some fish on a hard mark like a breakwater or pier. Whereabouts was it as I am wheelchair bound and going over myself with my own bored and wanna do a bit of fishing. This looks amazing. I might actually beat my PB Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, Paul
Hi Paul, to be perfectly honest, I couldn’t recommend the kind of fishing the lads are doing here to somebody with reduced mobility as it is very physically demanding. With how hard some of the species pull and how much ground they can cover in a fight, there is serious potential for things to go badly wrong unless you are in the company of others who really know what they are doing and can help out if things go pear shaped. I’m sorry that this isn’t the answer you are looking for but I don’t think it would be responsible of us to put you into a potentially dangerous situation.
We only over fished it after dark to avoid any potential problems but we did see locals fishing there so we thought it was okay. We were certainly never told otherwise 👍
Hi Stephen, we use the conversion charts from a South African site called ‘Specialist Angler’. In some instances, the charts we use aren’t for the exact species but others that are physically very similar. For example, for the round fantail ray you can use the chart for black ray and for the roughtail stingray, you can use the chart for thorntails etc.
Brilliant video Ben and congrats to all the guys with their great variety of fish!👏👍
Thanks Bernie, glad you enjoyed the videos!

Nice fishing!!! Is it allowed to fish on that pier?Iam asking because ive been looking for a calm spot to fish when there is to much wind.

If i may ask, what multiplier Baron used when he caught the butterfly ray?
Hi, you mean Varian? He was using a Shimano Speedmaster. Probably 30 years old that reel!
Great video. What length to weight conversion chart do you use?
