    When I met my wife I won the lottery. She is the most beautiful woman in the world inside and out. I tell her this every day. Why, if I have found my soulmate would I bother looking at anyone else? I've won, I want to focus on the beautiful person I have married and make her feel loved and honored in every way I can. Telling her someone else is beautiful would be bizarre, as no other beauty could ever be her beauty. If my office hired a beautiful young woman why would I notice much less tell my wife.

    This topic of aloneness is very interesting. I have felt alone most of my life. Not just in my marriage but in my family of origin. My parents and siblings made me feel very alone in the world. So I guess it is no surprise that it got recreated in my marriage.

    • @Michael-db4sn
      @Michael-db4sn Год назад +2

      We recreate what we know. I felt alone most of my life as well and I have a sibling and a family of my own. I was neglected as a child and unfortunately when I don't know how to approach someone I don't, and it is interpreted as neglectful or standoffish. People should stop assuming the worst and start having caring empathy towards all living creatures.

    • @elizabethgirinde8956
      @elizabethgirinde8956 Год назад +3

      There's a difference between LONELINESS and ALONENESS .
      The key difference between being lonely and being alone is emotional attachment. Being alone is a state of being, while loneliness is a feeling. We can be perfectly happy being by ourselves, but we can also be lonely even if we're with a group of people.

    This is a very subtle teaching. The learned rabbi is not making it up as he goes along but is giving you the benefit of a very sharp mind and decades of Torah study and reflection. If you think he is wrong about anything, that is entirely your prerogative and indeed, he might be. On the other hand, it might be you who has not understood the fine shades of meaning in his words. It may even be necessary to puzzle over them for a while.

      I wish to know someone truly. And I wish for someone to truly know me. Everything else just feels like desprate swipes at chasing away loneliness. And I would rather be completely alone than to be with someone I can not truly become one with. I want someone I can connect with. I want someone I can pour my heart soul and existence into, somone I can give myself to, to support to love to cherish. Someone I can sacrifice myself to, someone I can devote my life to.

    • @Freedomancer111
      @Freedomancer111 6 месяцев назад

      I want nothing more than to do and be what God created me for, to be a wife. This is somehow seen as a bad thing in today's world. I cannot see how living and devoting your life to a higher purpose than yourself can be a bad thing. I want a partner, someone I can back up. A man with the strength who I bless with my love who will change the world for the better. Someone who wants to do nice and kind things. Someone who doesn't want to live selfishly, someone who devotes their life to the Lord. I want to be in support of this person I want my every breath to strengthen them. I want to hold them when they cry, I want to be at their side if be it silently cheering them on. I'm just musing to myself.
