I was there. It was a great show. One of the guys in the crowd asked for a rap about Jalen Hurts, but Chris wanted more information about Jalen Hurts to make the rap more interesting. The irony is, as much as Philadelphia Eagles fans love Jalen Hurts, his persona off the field is pretty low key. He’s really polite in interviews and says and does nothing controversial in public. So I tried to help Chris out by yelling out one of the only fun facts that people mention when they talk about Jalen Hurts off the field, which is that he can squat 500 pounds. That’s like the only story the football announcers bring up about him. But the other guy was right, it’s probably closer to 600 pounds. I think it’s on RUclips somewhere. And of course squatting 600 pounds is a natural segue to ATM, just from a motion standpoint of how things flow!!! So it was pretty funny that ATM was next suggestion in the room!
As usual, Chris was absolutely brilliant with how he tied everything together, and the rest of his set, outside of the rapping, was also really funny! After the show everyone got photos with him. Cheers!
This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen/heard. Chris's mental processing speed is so next-level. He's like a computer, or maybe an artificial intelligence robot.

I prefer Chris to Harry Mack because let's face it. It's hard enough to free style rap, but turn it into real comedy on the spot while showing considerable cultural knowledge just takes it to another level.
I try not to compare H Mack and Chris like I used to a few years ago. I love them both while each has diverged into their own inimitable style and both are brilliant in what they do. It would be awesome to hear them in a friendly collaboration some day.
I think both are incredibly talented and specialise in different niches. Chris has some deep epistemology working in his favour along with great comedy to go along with it while Harry has incredible technical skill, schemes, and wordplay. Both are fantastic in their own right and I hope that one day they collaborate. I don't know what would come out of that collaboration but I'd be willing to bet that it'd be something amazing.
@@Gilsworth I agree. Harry is much more classical hip hop oriented rapper. Chris clearly doesn't fit in that culture. Although Harry schemes are unbeatable by a large margin, being able to do legit comedy while maintaining a free style going is impressive. I rather listen to something that makes me laugh. That's just my preference.
@@gabkoost Yeah, that's fair. You like what you like. I think Chris is amazing and listen to him when I want to be impressed by his knowledge and to laugh at the same time. I listen to Harry when I want to see what is possible to do in freestyle. Even though their styles are different I'd love to see them interact.
Whatever one prefers it's undeniable that both of them are great ambassadors for freestyle and are lifting people's spirits. I count myself lucky to get to witness their wit and talent.
@@gabkoost I think the opposite Chris style is what uk hip hop sounded like in the 90s LoL . I think Harry schemes are Way more current . I agree the 2 should nt be compared tho they re different, and both great Harry great style Chris never fails to make me laugh

OHHHHHH! This one was BRILLIANT! What an amazing rap. You Sir... Are a master story teller. Those transitions were seemless and your concepts on how to rap about those suggestions.... Just straight up masterful. Especially when you're rapping about a dude you know virtually nothing about.

Harry Mack probably flows better than Chris, but Harry Mack "boast" raps which can be premeditated easier than Chris Turner's style filled with only rich content
Don't listen to them. Harry Mack is trash. He may use different rapping techniques compared to Chris but all he does is bloat about himself and tries too hard to sound ghetto, so he slurs words. And if that wasn't bad enough, he isn't funny. Chris is about 1,000 times more fun to listen to.
Seeing more of the audience's reactions after the rap would be interesting. Have been watching you for many years. Blows my mind every time.

the improv crowdwork shows the skills for the freestyle - also im sure he's using that time to think up some imagery for the bars...as a rapper/FT rap instructor(though i write wwwway more than freestyle) i feel lke itd be real hard to set up a lot of this without even planning it out a lil but make NO mistake thats still impressive af - its legit on par with Hov writing a whole song in his head in like under an hour then spitting it a few times with diff cadence but the SAME BARS perfectly memorized (Rick Rubin talks about him doing it for 99 problems in an interview) absolutely unreal skill, respect sir, respect
