OMG yo have now a new subscriber, haha thank you for your help because I'm a self-taught route and this video helped me a lot. Please keep going to help us.
Just wanted to drop by to say thank you so much for this much-needed help. I did an online course with a technical college and I did the homework to make it through, not retaining much. Left overwhelmed and lost, I was left with a feeling of defeat. After crying on the way to work today, I remembered I had seen one of your posts. God does place people in your path for a reason, and for that, I am thankful. Pray you and your family have a blessed holiday season❤
I feel like that to with my online course but looking at the AMCI videos visual kind of showed me how to look up the codes and going over the guidelines and they got us learning pharmacology which is kind of tough. I love the medical terminology and anatomy and how to abstract the information from the case studies. I also love Shamrya videos she showed me how-to visual look up a code. But I also see a lot of people from my online school got jobs from companies listed on linken.
I just ordered my books. Imgoing the self-taught route. Im currently a RMA and I do not have time to attend school nor do I want to pay out of pocket taking courses I would not need. Keep the videos coming. I really appreciate this
I started at the front desk in a small doctors office, and kept gaining skills 25 years ago..and moved up to billing and coding..I still haven't taken the Exam, but during the pandemic I took classes just to add to my on the job training I already had..moral of the story, get on the job training 1st, if possible..I know plenty of ppl that have taken the classes and have no job because they have no experience. The channel holder is correct, u have do a job change if u are not in the revenue cycle already.
I have chronic pain and I can't do physical labor anymore. I was thinking about doing medical bill and coding. I've been a stay at home mom for ten years now. Just need something that isn't physically demanding that I could do from home mostly.
Hi thanks for the information! I am currently studying for my Revenue Cycle Certification. Definitely interested in a medical coding study group, that is my next goal.
Thank you, Shamyra. I have been watching you for a while. I do have question. I am currently in credentialing but have been studying for CPC. Do you know if medical records or data entry are remote? I have looked for a while and with no luck.
Hello I check out the medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical billinf and coding for beginners or demystified ( i don't remember) and it's free.
Would you recommend this route over going to a community college? (fasfa included)? If yes or no, why? Im currently in the process of finding a job so outta pocket isnt a option, so college looks better. But when I am able to find a job, would this route still be the better option?
I think you should do the college route with financial aid paying for your classes and books🤷🏾♀️ I start 2 of my classes next semester, and all my classes and books are paid for. So that's what I would suggest for you...over this course she's speaking of.
I know that you chose AAPC but I'm interested in AHIMA. I wish an AHIMA CCA person would show me the way. I also heard that medical coders can work in a pharmacy is that true?
@@desireediggs9824 I use Codify subscription on my own, but don’t need to on the job because we use an encoder. I have the 2024 hard books though as well. Collecting dust.
@@desireediggs9824I responded, but don’t see the comment on my end under you so responding again. Yes I have the updated books, but don’t need them because with the job we use an encoder. Most companies use an encoder. It helps assist with coding the charts faster. I only really needed the books to take the CCS exam last year and for references.
Hello ShamyraC__i just want to confirm.... I would not need to take courses again....I can just take this route... BTW..I work for Revenue Cycle... I'm Glad ☺️☺️... I came across your page... #GODSPEED....Thank you for the content!!
I have the websites linked in the description box. 😊

Does anyone have access to an online study guide? Can it be shared or do you have to have an account to access it? Thanks
I'm definitely interested in a membership. I started my journey (you inspired me!) and would love to have some help/guidance along the way!

Is there an ebook or program to find the codes online instead of having to look up the physical book every time?
How do you recommend studying the e and m section?
Thank you
