I actually purchased this model from Mod Bikes. It operates best on asphalt roads with less than 3% to 5% incline. Anything more than a 10% incline will strain you and the electric motor. The bike w/ battery weighs 88 lbs, side car is about 42 lbs. You really DO need to take care when making right turns, as you can pitch over to your left side. And similarly, the same is true if you’re making a left banked turn. You can pitch over to the left side and once all that weight starts going over it’s hard to start it. It’s happened to me more than once. I was glad I hadn’t had my dog leashed up-he was able to jump clear. All the more reason to same on flat even roads and not ride it one gravel or off-road paths. It is an expensive bike. But it is a solid bike. The cafe’ headlight is more for show-it’s not to light your way but does allow others to see you. The front brake cable design causes the cable to rub against the wheel. I had to use Velcro to secure it to the front fork. And the “Easy” sticker on the sidecar has come off. The new material they are using to create the sidecar is too slick. Stickers don’t stick. The sidecar seat uses suction cups to keep it in place but the plastic is too slick-the seat slides around. I wish it were more powerful and $1000 cheaper. I don’t regret purchasing it. Overall, it’s a great ‘flatland’ bike.
It works great on flat ground, but I have San Fransisco type hills and the motor dose not work well, I have to do a lot of peddling just to go up a short hill; my dog got used to it after a couple of laps too, I could use that D ring as she wants to jump out to see other dogs, cats and squirrels. I take my Mod to events in my truck but find it is hard to reattach the side car by myself. my foot also hits the side car when peddling. I love the Mod with side car and get a lot of comments when riding!
@@JayKauffman Its great on Flat ground, but it is very difficult riding up hills, the motor is under powered and you have to peddle pretty hard; as for foot bumping I may just be a awkward peddler , despite the troubles I still enjoy it. Traveling with it is a little of a pain because you have to take the side car off to load it into a pickup truck and then reattach the sidecar , it helps to have a second person when lining up the locking pins.
Yeah, those “Quick Release” bolts aren’t very quick, are they?! The nuts should be squared off or knurled to give us some grip. And you really do need to check the nut on the sidecar’s wheel to make sure it stays tight.
@@ALLElectricChannel I tried looking for something like that but I could not find any information on it. Would it have to be a custom order design or can I just get one of the prefab kits and it has the capability to go on either side? Just a question and thank you very much for the answer for the other one!!
Good Luck trying, I tried asking and calling, stores, See if they just sell me sidecar for Regular bike. And ""NO one "" wanted sell sidecar by itself. I was going to add ""Swytch"" and make my bike ""Electric ebike """ and sidecar, perfect match, for my chiwennie puppy.
Oh so the old sidecars are bad because of their fuels? Do you even know their fuel? They are driving with methanol which is even cleaner than the E-Bikes. Do some research first.
Use code "ALL ELECTRIC" to get $50 OFF!

Yes, because of the heavy frame a bigger motor would be nicer. Also had the same learning curve when making right turns. Slow is key
Thumbs up for the good doggie!
This is so cool, dooood.
How can i get a side car i already have an ebike
Seems rather over priced at $4000 especially considering when some people build their own Sidecar bikes for under $1000.
Agreed heavily over priced. I value to bike to be about 1000 the side car 400-600.

Thanks for the info
So, would you recommend it, even tho you say your foot hits the sidecar when pedalling?

Forget the ebike, I'd love the sidecart for my pedal bicycle.
All throttle for 20 miles means you did zero pedaling?
yes
Can you add two side cars like one in each side???
good question, I don't see why not

I'm sorry
Do you know if we can attach the sidecar to any bike?
I tried to buy the side car separate but they wouldn’t sell it to me. Even if it doesn’t fit on my ebike I can make it fit.
Why don't you add some batteries to be hold in the sidecar's back?
Interesting idea 💡
Can I just buy the sidecar and attachment to my ebike

But you still have to pedal?
Seems like it.
not needed, the motor has plenty of power.
A door to get in and out for dog would be better than picking up dog and putting it in.
agree, but then the door might become an issue
Can you buy the bike/ sidecar without the electric motor? Be Cool with a Harbor Freight/ Predator motor!
Not sure. Wonder if someone else also makes these
not a very secure key re: cylinder lock.
true
