I wish you had posted this a month or two sooner. It would have saved me quite a bit fiddling around with trial and error trying to interpret the manual.
Just got a 6000R for Christmas. Thanks for the quick intro, will make life much easier. Seems the menus pretty well follow other Yaesu design pattern. It felt pretty comparable to my 65R HT --- and not horribly divergent from my DX10. Next decision ... vehicle install or bring the HF/Repeater world to the shack.
anyone know how to set the radio back to factory settings? I seem to have locked out several of the menu options. This is quite challenging to program for me.
This was a great video and an excellent follow-up to the IL2P/Direwolf video a few weeks back. Did you mention the 9600bps data rate requires a specific wire connection?

Is possible have infos about wiring of the data cable to digital interfaces, audio in/out, etc ..?
It's got a digital out only not audio. So best thing is to use a mobilinc if you want to do data.
The pin outs are listed in the manual.
A wired digirig can be had with cable for cheap.

Does the 6000R work well as a repeater radio? Say if you used two of them for a duplex Allstar system.
