I haven't seen episode 4 yet but I really hope there's another song. You don't get Patti LuPone and only have her sing once. Also yeah this is totally Agatha's first time on the road, seems like she really did sell her baby (or someone else's) for a shortcut to power.
The cast and creatives confirmed that anything you see on camera was ON CAMERA. The road set was built in a soundstage, was the size of a football field, and new crew sometimes got lost for a few minutes when "resetting or turning" the movable trees around. The houses are all miniatures and matte painted backdrops. CGI was used to tidy or enhance only. Kathryn Hahn said that she never even SAW a blue or green screen (although I suspect Ali Ahn saw at least one, just from what she sees in Ep#4) (not a spoiler though)
A theory that I like is that Agatha made a deal for the Darkhold not knowing that the price would be her son Nick
