  • ADHD is a neurological condition that can cause periods of hyperactivity and problems with attention.
I have suffered from ADHD since college. Granted I have high expectations and push myself as hard as I can, I still do not get as much done as I would like to. I find myself procrastinating, “drifting” and getting easily side tracked even when I turn off all my notifications (phone, social media, emails).
I finally agreed to try several medications so that I could increase my productivity, but pills didn’t work. I started doing research and trying out different things.
These are the top 8 strategies that I have used to improve my focus and manage ADHD without medication. I hope that this helps anyone out there who have similar issues.
🙏Give yourself grace🙂Be patient with yourself: Your brain 🧠 thinks and problem solves differently🎯Set goals to complete in 30 minute sessions🙌Take breaks to clear your mind
    🙏Meditation
    🚴Exercise everyday
😴Sleep🐟Take Omega 3’s which is the only nutritional supplement proven to support ADHD (see below)
Important: See a psychiatrist to be diagnosed if you have ADHD, and to see how much omega 3’s you should take
“There is sufficient evidence to consider omega-3 fatty acids as a supplement to established [medication and behavioral] therapies” in ADHD, the researchers concluded in the journal Clinical Psychology Review. They found subjects to have less inattention and hyperactivity.
Fish oil is a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids. It is a form of fat that the human body cannot make on its own. I have taken The Very Finest Fish Oil by @carlsonlabs for over 13 years. I continue to choose Carlson Labs because of their many awards for the high quality standards and because it doesn’t taste fishy. In fact, I use it in my salad dressing to get my daily dose of Omega 3.
I am openly sharing my battles and victories with ADHD to help others who suffer from ADHD. Please share if you know someone who can benefit from my experience.
