Had big Death vibes for me. The pause itself and change in riff after included. Call me crazy, but I seem to remember that same type of transition in some Death songs.
Did Chuck Schuldiner soul possessed Fernanda??? Or is it some song that wasn't included on "Symbolic" or even "Individual Thought Patterns"??? No, I did not get any Testament or Obituary vibes... all I've got was Death vibes... and that is a good thing. Even the pause reminds Death a little bit.
Definitely lots of late 80s/early to mid 90s Florida Death Metal influences here. I personally loved this song, and I hope they keep these influences in the next album. By the way, this is the only Crypta song was almost entirely written by Tainá Bergamaschi, as the album was almost entirely written when she joined the band.
Nice. I noticed an influence of Death in the vocals but in the instrumental part I noticed a greater influence of the old Carcass with some hints of Death
Wooah is right. I heard big Death vibes all through that song. I heard a minimal amount of late 80's-era Testament on how some of the drum beats sounded. Dude had it down correct.
Death from Symbolic era is biggest influence in verse/ chorus I would say. Not so much in mid section. (Now I look at the comments that is being said). Crypta have a big Death influence anyway - I would have said even before this the biggest influence band. Maybe this song without blast beats in the main verse/ chorus shows that up even clearer than anything before, because I think sometimes the blast beats hides the amount of Death influence, because they never had them. My hope and expectation for this band is that they would go more down the Death from Human onwards route in the future, and this song points in that direction. 2 lead guitarists from outside death metal and Luana is a really great drummer should enable them to do just that. They are a classy band, because it would be far easier to take some other bands in this genre as main influence.
The pause in the middle doesn't fits musically but it fits contextually. The song is a about a guy waking in the limbo, suffering to seek a way out and waking in the same place every time.
Thrash that hits in all the right spots. I definitely did get testament vibes especially around the solo. A great mixture that they pull off great. Five skulls from me. 💀💀💀💀💀
I think it was more like a cross between Death and Pantera. Which is obviously a good thing. But there is another all-female band FRANTIC AMBER-they have been doing similar stuff.
i was thinking Death right away with those vocals.. so youse guys are AEW fans as well....... i am so stoked that there is a wrestling org around that is actually entertaining...i grew up with WWF in the 80's as a kid....marked out to ultimate warrior at Wrestlemania 6 when he beat hogan...stopped watching in 92 and then got back into it during the Attitude era, when mike tyson was making headlines of appearing on raw confronting stone cold steve austin. damn those were the glorious days for over the top antics and gimmicks. so yeah AEW reminds me of the good ol days, but even better because honestly as far as ring skills go they have some great performers... Jurassic Express, Young bucks, Orange Cassidy, Wardrow, Darby, jericho, eddie kingston, the bastard pac..which i think as far as ring technicality is the best, to bad he doesn't get much air time..digging the new faction he is in with Death Triangle. so many i actually like. WWE has been dead to me since 2002 basically so AEW is where it's at

Now that you mentioned I see it or hear it as well.
Kinda reminds me of Death's album Symbolic. This is the first time I'm listening to Crypta and I'm hooked.💚🤘

The more folks mention Death the more I see it as well.
That's funny .I also thought 4 a second if Chuck incarnated this way.

We only watch AEW now, WWE is absolute garbage. We got out of it and back on it once AEW came around.
From beginning to end I myself felt more of Death vibes.
