I love to hear her talk and hear her thoughts on things....mezmerizes me as much as her singing does, her lyrics and her beauty. All of it stuns me in awe.
she reminds us that the world has magic in it everywere, when we get caught up in the mundane, boring bits of life we look to stevie to bring us back to the magic.
jeana kirkbride, oh my goodness you are so right when you said we look to Stevie to bring us back to the magic. I'm speechless listening to this utterly breathless....How gorgeous is this little clip.
When Stevie Nicks sings this song she reaches a channel and level of greater heights and it can be heard in her voice and soul sounding energy. The even greater magic is that she is able to relate that to others in her words and song and ability to capture our souls! There will never be anyone else as great of a poet, songwriter, singer -- to me!
Beautiful to hear how hard she worked in this very classic song. This song is a true gift and moving and touching. It's awesome hearing her inspiration for this incredible work of art.
This is one of my favorite songs...To hear this being created is amazing.. She never ceases to take my breath away.. I finally met her last march at B&N in NYC it was a moment I will NEVER forget..she was so magical and real . she everyones hand while she signed cds and dvds.. she is absolutely stunning in person.she is so tiny (lol) but when she speaks she has that amazing voice.Everything you imagine Stevie to be is exactly what she is. She is an amazing person...Thanx for sharing this song
she also reminds us that beautiful music isn't made without practice...it's humbling to hear this version of one my favorite songs by Stevie Nicks...absolutely wonderful to hear it in it's conception....
What can you be thinking saying Josh Groban is the best version? I mean no disrespect but I have Loved Stevie from Buckingham Nicks and there is no one in my opinion that should ever sing her songs. Those who have tried don't even come close. It is that Haunting sound that can t be replicated. There are a few that are in the same thing as far as don't touch those songs. Stevie is a rare one that only gets better as time goes by. Stevie has been a great Life Teacher for me. In so very grateful That we have.If you all get a chance to watch the video she is talking about in the beginning, it's on here and the film is black and white and subtitles are used and then put Stevie singing Beauty and The Beast, It's Amazing. I have seen Josh Groban a few times, brings me to tears every time I see Him. Stevie just had My Heart from The Beginning. I love that at 57 I still hear either all of us from Day one but am so Happy that everyday new or younger people are falling for Stevie, she will never be forgotten, I Thank You Stevie from the bottom of My Heart for all you gave up for us 🎵💒 💐💖 💙 💞
I'm not sure what you mean here, by this post. I sing her songs SO MUCH better than she does, because I am younger, healthier, and do NOT have throat issues due to rampant drug use. As far as Groban doing a better version?! He didn't sing any of Stevie's songs as far as I know, so I am uncertain as to what THIS rant is about. He has a lovely voice...FAR lovelier than Stevie or even mine.....
V Goodan wtf....SILENCE.!!! If you cherish your life then don't I repeat don't ever disrespect one of Stevie's song by using your mortal voice the Sisters of the Moon can hear you and will get you ! Have I been clear do you understand!!! Go sing Madonna or Ga ga and leave Stevie alone!l!
Would you die of grieving when I leave were never truer words spoken when the love of my life died in a violent car accident in 1983.You got me through many dark years Stevie and that's something that will stay within my heart until I meet my love again. We were both 28 now 63 but it still seems like yesterday that I held him on the roadside until he took his very last breath.💝💝💝💝💝💝Its been the longest and lonliest 35 yrs. of my life.Thank You Stevie
Most photogenic rockstar lady and what a soothing speaking voice & incredible songstress & lyrical GENUIS of our times! This song, makes me weep….unbelievably funny and moving my 14 yr old arthritic cat adores Stevie too! Particularly the songs like this…Bc I call my cat a Beauty” ❤ but she does her excercises ….after cuddles she’ll roll over and do yoga” cat stretches “ paws up high God she’s wee only weighs 10 lbs . Vet says she’s very healthy ex her arthritis…… Peace Love We adore to chill to Stevie’s music! Thanks for this one! Both of us! 🫶🏼😺
Stevie Nick's Rock's 🌹 🌹🙏🌕😅 🌇🌃🔥🔥💥💯 ✔️ Love This Song and This Original Track of Beauty and The Beast 🙌.. This is True.. If You Truly Love The Person from the Depths of Your Soul.. Your Twin Flames. I Love You xoxoxo.. BB 👑😍😍
Thanks so much for uploading this. Tells the story behind the song I've always found so lovely and haunting.! Enjoyed listening to her talk about the movie that inspired it. Wish I knew what movie she was talking about. Love to see what she saw in it. I especially loved her performance of this song at "Red Rocks". It was hauntingly beautiful and she put such emotion into it!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this was her last concert TOUR before going into rehab for cocaine addiction, then ended up getting addicted to ... Klonopin or something like that? Wow, didn't know it was a benzodiazepine., til I just looked it up! She subsequently lost 8 years of her life, so I've heard her say, on this drug and had a very hard time getting off it. Quite an eye opener, because I've been on Xanax for over 30 YEARS due to depression w/anxiety. Depression is VERY HARD, but add in anxiety and... you got a much worse hell to deal with!!
Beautiful Stevie. She can stand up against those hearts of beasts . Not all women can. I am homeless widow . Beast he knew more about Stevie then I did ILove music. Get keep job. Forget the nice wife thing
@RoseLeeZion I saw your post to VistaBoner, Loved it, What a awesome but classy tongue lashing, it was great...I enjoyed your flashback to the 9/15/1983 concert, & hitchhiking in the rain with the kitten. OMG those were the days, seemed so much safer then these days. Also how did SashaLiane( Beautiful name) like the S Nicks/ R Stewart concert? I'm 58 & here flashin back to Stevie myself. Plus she & Rod were my Favorites way back, lol...Still are...from New Jersey back then, AZ.31 yrs.now.

i love what she's saying about the film because i hate the end too. for those who don't know, the beast (who is really stunning, looks like a lion and a tiger at the same time) turns back into a man and he looks very overdone and made up and silly.
huh? where did I miss something? Madonna never performed this song, that I know of (and you can correct me if I'm wrong)...in fact, I don't know of anyone else who has recorded this song....and what does Cyndi Lauper have to do with it?
@ezahnle07 Two different artists from different genres and different eras... Stevie isn't a pop performer and Madonna isn't a rock star. I'm not sure how Madonna prevents Stevie from getting the credit she deserves. This isn't Cyndi Lauper we're talking about.
Amazing...Stevie never got the credit she deserves. She is the best, better than madonna or anyother femal artist of our generation.
Let's not get carried away now.
Stevie is one of my faves and so is Maddona. But you cant compare two totally different artists like that. ❤
I love to hear her talk and hear her thoughts on things....mezmerizes me as much as her singing does, her lyrics and her beauty. All of it stuns me in awe.
she is the best
Same hypnotized! Even my cat 🐈 is more relaxed than previously! Magical? I believe as does my kitty.

Haven't heard that in a long time. :)
@stvnix71 Thanks ever so much for sharing that..I had a strong feeling she would be really nice in person..thanks again..
This appears to be a demo she did with Tom Moncrieff and someone else in 1978; Fleetwood Mac would shortly attempt it for Tusk.

Beauty and the Beast
the song was written in the early 80's. She was talking about a play she had seen in Paris.
wdharvey1 she’s talking about a French movie from the 1940’s called Beauty and the Beast. She has since bought the rights to the movie and plays clips of it in concert.
Well, I'm sure this was "stolen" however when she was talking about that, she was talking about songs that have never been released in any form (not demos of released songs), like "Forest of the Black Roses," "China Doll," and "Maker of Birds" etc..
This actually sounds like it could be Stevie on piano in this song. She played a lot of the piano parts herself on her old demos.
Maybe it was in the trunk of stuff that got sold in a garage sale.
"Well this is goona be a fun tape"
Timeless is the prisoner in disguise...
Well Blake - I know you very well and I may sound like one, but I know, as does everyone, you ARE a nelly queen.
This is in my opinion her best songs but for all I heard this song I never knew it was actually written as a response to the Disney movie. I think there's a lot more going on though, she sings this like she was soul crushed.. had to have deep, personal meanings too.
Not a Disney movie, the song is inspired by the French movie "La Belle et la Bête" from 1946, she talks about it at the beginning.
@@GoldandBraid it’s a beautiful film, but like Stevie says the ending is hokey. It doesn’t match the rest of the film..
That's tellin' 'em. Takes one to know one.
Oh my love 😍.. let's play piano
i love what she's saying about the film because i hate the end too. for those who don't know, the beast (who is really stunning, looks like a lion and a tiger at the same time) turns back into a man and he looks very overdone and made up and silly.

They are both superstars. Just totally different genres & audiences for a large part.
Roy Bittan, no "r".
OK, never mind. As I listened more it became clear that no, it wasn't. :)
Pretty safe to assume Tom Petty.
tusk079, No actually it was for Joe Walsh that she wrote this song.
SuperDougie M nope, it was for Mick Fleetwood.
The "Tom" she's talking to is almost certainly guitarist Tom Moncrieff.
@@superdougie10...she wrote beauty and the beast about mic ...has anyone ever written anything for you was about Joe walsh
@ezahnle07 madonna dont evev comprae is that all u can come up with
She always seem to know it all. Its beginning to sound to overplayed like other interviews. For me fakish
