Stevie's voice can NEVER be recreated. She is like no one else and it will always remain that way. The passion she puts into her lyrics is so real and there will never be an artist like her. Stevie is more than a singer, she is a poet and a great story teller. She can't and won't be mimicked. She is my queen and has taught me more than anyone else has. Thank God for Stevie Nicks!
Perpetual.Art wow! Some of us fans, love her. And, I'm not a witch! Also, who cares what she is in her private life? Ain't nobody's business. Your reply is very nasty and sour, and you are overrating yourself!
Well put, I discovered Stevie when I was 13 (1976), everything about her blew me away, my all time favorite, her style is still felt among singers today.
@@tedellis2544 Because I wanted to post my view, I mean I have been a fan of the Mac since '78, so I think I am entitled. Saying that, I am not so ignorant to think that she is that special, or that she gives a rats a** about her fans.
Exactly. When I think about life and where I am in it, I listen to this song and start crying and until I stop crying. Even though she wrote and sang this song about where is was at that time, (I was there too about that time) it means and is more profound for me today.
She was just a baby when she wrote this song. How did she know? Natural God given talent. That's why we love her. She became a vessel to channel and create pure music and sacrificed a chance for a family to share her gift with all of us. Thank you, Stevie.
It's part of her universal appeal as both a songwriter and vocalist. In fact, she has even said in interviews that she writes music first for herself, but in such a way that it connects with everybody else...for we are, after all, all human. Stevie Nicks sings of the human experience, a universal constant.
Yes, it's quite melancholy to see her at this age (I saw her in concert this year, at age 70), knowing she may not perform too many more years. And it just makes me feel my own mortality, with the decades of memories of totally adoring and loving her, knowing one day she will no longer walk among us. I'm so grateful for the memories. Thank you, Stevie.
"Lady" my favorite song these days. Heard it for the first time in December 2016 at her concert which was my first time to see her in concert. Loved her concert so much I turned around and bought more tickets for Feb. 2017.
Words can't describe how much I love her. She sings melodies that soothe the hardest of hearts. Thank you for the love and letting us into your world for so many years 🌛💞
I absolutely love this! thank you Stevie. have you ever seen her interview .....she gave up her chance at a family to give us all of her. Thanks to Stevie...l, and so many more understand and appreciate your work and sacrifice. We love you...always.
Stevie = LoVe, She reaches into the Soul and pulls out Every Emotion within, with Her Powerful Lyrics and Unmistakable Sound, Only SHE Can Do That, Only Stevie Nicks. Some Days, When I Don't Think I Have the Strength To Take ONE MORE STEP, I Listen To Her....Cliché as It Sounds...She Walks With Me - Giving Me the Strength & Courage To Carry On....
Stevie Nicks has such a unique voice. whenever she sings you know it can only be Stevie. In the annals of Rock she will be always remembered as the queen
Most prolific female in rock. Though I love Janis, and the other big female artists of rock, Stevie has the most punch. Including writing and performing her songs so eloquently. She can rest comfortably knowing she has done good work in her time. Such a gem...
I love this song and the story behind it! Stevie is the reigning Queen of Rock and Roll forever and always. Thank you for being your true self, Stevie. Thank you for being the soundtrack to my 15 year old life, I don’t know where I’d be without her music
lisa bennage I agree with you so much! Stevie has always given all of herself to us - all her fans who love her so much! So many thanks go out to STEVIE and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY too! WE LOVE YOU STEVIE & ALWAYS WILL!!!
As I told April (below) this song was relevant for me then as it is now. Ms. Nicks and I are about the same age and have many similar experiences. And, while she wanted to make it on her own, and indeed she did most spectacular, she had options. The irony is she can write and sing about life even though we are on different planets (figuratively) because it is about us, all of us. She is unique, a gift I think. I cry when I listen to this song until I stop crying.
Stevie Nicks is the most beautiful woman ever! I wish I could have met her back in the 70's the first time I saw Fleetwood Mack at Red Rocks in CO. I love this lady!!!!
That was Brilliant. Stevie Nicks is the voice of the world. Her voice and music makes my Heart and Soul dance. There is no one like Stevie Nicks. Brilliant. 🎤🎶🎼🎵🎸✌🏻🧡
Thank you so much for posting a rare recording. It is unusual to see pictures shown giving proper time to reflect on, and get caught up in the memories. Appreciate the song and the pictures not being flashed without time for admiration and the sentiments as memories flow. Special for those of us who remember when music of all genres dominated the times, and there was true diversity and depth in lyrics. 😍🎧🎹🎸🍷⚘
I recall stumbling across this song, can’t remember when but it had such a profound effect, I just stopped & listened and was totally captured by it. Over the years she’s made some fantastic, dramatic music but these quiet, heartfelt songs, with the simplest arrangement and just her voice dancing through the melodies like the ballerina gypsy she is, are absolutely magical
Stevie meets that Lucky Old Sun. I was just listening to Amy Winehouse. I was listening to the latter and thought of the former. Rock n roll is hard on women. Hard are sensitive, creative souls. I'm thankful Stevie is still with us. Amy you're not forgotten.
I love Stevie.she has got me through so many hard times.now I discovered this demo to help me thru this hard time. anybody else wanna slap the crap out of people who critisize her?
I listened to this beautiful song as a teenager, and it had so much meaning to me. Now I'm listening at it at the age of 59 and it has a whole new meaning. Am I the only lost one out there?
Loved Stevie for years, never heard this song. Oh my,nother 1 favorite, she's my all time fav anyway, haven't even started to find out about this one. She's in my heart.
Wow. Such a cool early Stevie tune. When you couple it with their story of the early/depressing years it’s that much more powerful. Especially considering what ultimately happened to them.
ID LOVE TO MEET HER BEFORE I DIE IM 68 YEARS OLD N IN BAD HEALTH IM A DAV IN A WHEELCHAIR N CANT WALK I ENJOYED HER MUSIC FOR OVER 40YRS ID BE BLESSED JUST TO HAVE LUNCH WITH HER
I'm tired of knocking on doors too Stevie. Mine are locked. I'm glad you at least got some beautiful music from your time with Lindsey, maybe it was worth the heartache?
At a time when lots of classic acts are releasing sets of rare recordings wouldn't it be great if Stevie released some of her demos. Digitally cleaned up they could be fantastic (they are lovely now) . I imagine something like the Sandy Denny Box set which included lots of home demos and alternative recordings. It showed that many of the songs were even more powerful when it was just one woman and her piano/guitar.Hearing lots of Stevie's demos I could imagine a very powerful albumOh well, "in my dreams"
THE SAME HOLDS TRUE FOR ANY OF MY ACTIONS THE LAST SIX MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING SOME TIME OFF FROM WORK DURING THE LAST SIX MONTHS AND ENJOYING MYSELF WATCHING VIDEOS OF SOME OF MY FAVORITE ARTISTS LIKE TOM PETTY. IN MY LAST 30 YEARS IN NEW YORK CITY I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES.
Little did she know in her frustration the door was opening and a star was born one of the most successful artist of all time ..she deserved it ..why .because it was always about music with her .it was her life
Bet Stevie wrote this one after the release of the couple's first LP, when it wasn't selling very well (but a terrific LP). Heard her discuss how she was thinking about going to college as she was thinking she might not make it in the music business. Guess Lindsey was trying to re-assure her in the song. Sounds sincerely torn here. Stevie not much of a piano player. Didn't matter at all as she was such a great singer/songwriter/lyricist. Amazing she could write like that with just the minimal simple chords under there. When you got it, you got it. ; )
Stevies' demos are better than most anything else going on out there today.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think maybe reaching out enough to listen to some of the new artists here might be beneficial for you. If not, cool, just a suggestion.!
I like simplicity of the demo's

I've been a Stevie nut since 1977. I can tell you, and I've met many rockers, she is the nicest and warmest one I've ever met. Everytime
How l would give all my Life to have her in my arms for a Second of Time ,it wouĺd éternity of Love,,ILove her Forever ❤❤❤
Deep song. As I get older, it becomes deeper . . The time keeps rolling by and I wonder what is to become of me . . .

You can hear her crying while signing this ♥️ Stevie is such a poetic genius her own words bring her to tears 😭

@@ericjones4548 She was 23 when she wrote this.
Tears rolling down my cheeks.. this is exactly how I have felt lately! I think she wrote those lyrics for me.
I understand as well ;,)
