The best part is that Ryan’s beliefs were not only flawed, but never worked freely from the get go. His “Free Market” was only free when Ryan wanted it to be. Rapture was not a town with no laws. The top law was not to cross Ryan, don’t even make him suspect you would cross him. He was a hypocrite to his ideals long before he nationalized Fontaine Futuristics. Rapture was doomed to fail from the start for many reasons, Ryan’s hypocrisy of letting men be free to do as they please being one of the reasons.

I honestly felt delta's end was the best one. He was a literal machine human hybrid monster not meant for surface life ontop of being a clone. Passing on his knowledge to his original little sister was the best choice.
Jack (BS1 protagonist) was still human enough to either live well or if he killed little sisters die in the water.
Sigma's end was also the best since he wasn't a monster so much a grieving widower.

Couldn't get myself to attack Grace, she was unarmed and had a different perspective on things, justifying her hate for Delta.
Gil needed to be killed. His last self knew what was going to happen and that was his last plea. Had I spared him, eventually a mad Splicer would come and finish the job
I felt bad for attacking Mike Meltzer though, I thought he was just a normal Big Daddy and I wanted to get some ADAM but didn't notice the name until he was killed.

So this may sound strange but for me delta is the most relatable protagonist in the series but that’s mostly due to my own personality.
Delta is big, tough and not at all graceful but willing to do anything for the people he cares about and I’m sort of the same way plus I really like wearing heavy armor
