if my memory serves me right I think I was at this Concert right down in Manhattan NY NY, January 1981at Carnegie Hall All Star Keyboard Concert, it also was the celebration of Eubie Blakes birthday 16 Keyboard players to be exact, Damn that was an awesome night it was cold outside but is was lots of fire and groove inside.
If you could remember those exact details, then you certainly was there. And what a night that must have been huh? I envy you hard my friend! To have had the pleasure in seeing such 3 forces of nature playing together like that.
