To retrieve videos from your iPhone, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect your iPhone from WiFi and mobile data to avoid unintentional syncing or overwriting.
2. Install Disk Drill for Mac on your system by downloading it.
3. With a cable, link your iPhone to your Mac.
4. On your iPhone, choose "Trust this device" and input your screen unlock code (for iOS 16.1 or later versions).
5. Open Disk Drill for Mac and from the left-hand panel, select your iPhone.
6. Click "Search for lost data" to initiate the scanning process. If your backups are encrypted (as they ideally should be), you will need to input the backup password for a thorough recovery.
7. Disk Drill will probe your iPhone and exhibit all retrievable files, inclusive of those in the iPhone's backed-up files on your Mac.
8. Employ the filter and preview options to identify and select the videos you wish to retrieve.
9. Click "Recover" and opt for a secure location to store your retrieved videos.
10. Once the recovery process concludes, click "Show Results in Finder" to view your retrieved videos.

No, there should be no difference except for maybe the data transfer speed.
There is no usb port in macbook air. So how to conmect iPhone to mac?
You can use a USB Type-C port to connect your iPhone. You can also sync it via iCloud.

Hello there , I’ve backed up fotos/ videos in the past , somehow someway all my videos / fotos are gone , I did not delete them and am the only one who can accesss the fone , would this work in my case ?
