I cheered when she turned over... WOW! What a great video! My 66 sat in the barn for seven months this winter and turned over first key last weekend! Amazing trucks! I bought mine for the same reason you bought this! Better than any new car! Thanks!
I had a 196cc and blew the core. I got another engine 152cc and cannot really tell the difference. Cool. I would love to do this on mine. its running weird now. its a daily. I just came in. Also drive a VW Alltrack.
Subbed! It's great to see a young man interested in real metal 4x4's I own a 72 scout I bought at auction for $500. Best vehicle I ever bought. I also own a 1959 IH 2Ton Commercial truck I use as a water truck for the ranch. Would not trade it for anything. You can have the fancy, electronic ignition systems and all, but, I'll stick to my, what, 6 wires, regulator/generator simple that won't go out in an EMP Pulse from China, which is probably gonna not be so far in the future, I'll just pour some gas down the carb, turn the key and be on my way thank you very much.
Nice! Looks like a legit Texaco truck. Never seen one of those distributor covers, Might have to make one for myself. Sounds Good! Makes me miss hearing mine run haha.
Boy, I'd be hard pressed to change any of the paint and that logo...I'm kind of into Rat Rods...not that your into that ,but, fix that ol boy up and you'll be pulling foreign 4x4's all day long outta the ditch with that Iron....should do it looking like an old man with experience that scout... ;)
I heard the last of the International name was just sold off to Volkswagen. It may be possible they will bring back the body style but will likely be a let down as far as interior and drivetrain
I also have the original Cheyenne 152 motor with the Holly carb glass float bowl and fuel pump with windshield wiper vacuum pump and glass float bowl, original seats, rear bench seat, spare tire mount, rebuilt transmission,front/rear end,new drive shafts, kingpins, spindles, steering box, fuel tanks, fuel lines, wiring harnesses, front disc brake kit, rear brakes, shackles, shocks, steering stabilizer, original radio, roll bar! Just needs upholstery kit, door window kits, gauges and electrical fixed again.......wire came of v.regulator and wire fire.....ouch. easy fix and learn and move on. Lol
Leaving the body the way it is for now.....dents,little rust, cracked hood.......bad paint. When I pass it on to my son he has a little left to make it his own! It's been in our family since new in1966 it was my uncle's!

Right on dude. I’ve got an ‘80 scout II in Omaha orange. Good to see some other dudes my age are into classic internationals.

Good job starting it up! They are great 4x4!
Oldsmobile hub cap
Texaco truck??
I don't believe 40,000 original miles either!
These weren't for traveling great distances so good chance forty grand.
