yep! I ordered the pink sneakers and I’m so excited to get them. I also have a pair of sandals from them that are super comfy. The pre order price is better than most re-sale samba and OT’s in specific colors ive been on the hunt for so I wasn’t too phased
true and their colors I don't think are dupes. I prefer some of their color combos over onitsukas and sambas

I realized lately that about half of my free time is just puttering around my neighbourhood (downtown Toronto) and walking my dog or running errands.
I figured investing in some nice quality pieces that are comfortable AND cute made sense. So I’ve been slowly building up my casual wardrobe with nicer lounge wear and a good pair of Uggs!
there are lots of boots that are warm cute but less cruel so i would NEVER recommend them
I found blue gazelles for $7 at the thrift store recently! I started cackling like a witch in the store, scared my mom a bit haha
on the trendiness of kitten heels and the next generation: kitten heels will always make me think of my mom! she wore them to work with her suits when i was a kid so to watch sex and the city in my twenties and realize that she had been dressing that way at the peak of the trend was so so funny and cool. especially bc she didn't watch the show until the streaming era. trends/styles were just way more ubiquitous back then, i think.
I just saw those lined Doc’s the other day and was instantly in love. But then, I have been a devoted Doc’s wearer since HS in the 90’s. Ift also made me think of this hack that I will pass on for my fellow seriously cold weather girlies out there. I buy 100% lamb skin wool inserts and put them in my slippers and in my shoes and boots when it gets cold. They’re, in my opinion, so much better for my feet than even the gel inserts, but they are for sure the warmest insert out there. So comfortable. They’re naturally absorbent (you can air them out over night or even stick them in the freezer if they need to be deodorized) and breathable. I live in Canada, so winter is no joke. I put those inserts in my regular Doc’s or any of my other water resistant boots and I’m good to go. I do have serious winter boots for blizzards and such, but for day to day it’s more than adequate. I even put them in my ballet flats or loafers and I’m so cosy warm. I order mine off Amazon. Get the ones with the all leather soles. You won’t regret it.

silver onitsuka tiger ARE so cute, BUT I knew someone who had them and they crease everywhere literally immediately. they didn't look bad but kind of make the shoe look cheaper than other colorways...
I have the silver onitsuka tigers and they are perfect! I got them in a restock months ago, but the email notifications DO NOT work. You just have to stalk the page and refresh. But I definitely recommend them, they're basically a neutral for me and go with everything. My favorite shoes ever. I was just in Japan and regret not buying a back up pair so bad 😭
@@jeanniedanford I’m typically an 8 1/2 or 9, but went 9. If you’re a half size, I would go up because they fit perfectly as a 9.

i saw a woman on tt commenting on docs mentioned first. they aren't the best idea for keeping your feet warm because its faux fur, and if you live in cold climates you know that faux doesn't actually keep you warm like real wool does!!!!! hope she doesnt spend that much money on them tbh

If you’re thinking about buying the superpuff I’d suggest getting a puffer from Everlane they have so many different styles, colors and lengths and they’re more ethically made than Aritzia’s + the quality is greaaat!!
I have the peachy den puffer ~ it’s pretty warm but there was a weird few days where the filling started shedding through the coat… Pushed through that and it’s great now :-)

I just picked up a pair of moto boots even though I already had black riding boots, and I’m thinking I need to get rid of the riding boots…because you’re right you really don’t need both! the moto just has an edge to it that’s more my speed. I also have a soft spot for anything 90s and the engineer/motorcycle boot hits that spot
my mom has those exact fur-lined docs and she loves wearing them in the winter!! she says they don't get too warm inside and go with lots of outfits and are super comfy
the way you talked about your uggs is exactly how i feel about mine !! i was feeling bad as i don’t really ‘wear’ them but actually i wear them all the time when i just want to transfer my slippers outside which imo is how an ugg should be😂

Even if I could afford I would never buy the Miu Miu boots. So the Steve Madden are the best option, I’ve been wearing it with everything. I’ve bought the Onitsuka in silver here in Japan for $99 last summer and I went online to see and still available. I don’t think they are limited edition here in Japan. I’m looking to get a black version soon.
Unrelated but I’ve been dealing with ingrown toenails since 2012 pls laini go to a podiatrist. Message your primary care doctor and say you need a referral to a podiatrist. And if you’re up for permanently curing the ingrown toenail consider the chemical removal of it at the podiatrist. I got that for one side of my big toes & I never got it again. Still working on doing it for the rest. But yeah podiatrist!! Consider it pls .

Went to Singapore during Spring and there were so many of those metallic Onitsukas. I actually got my Sambas there too since it was impossible to do so here in North America at that point.
EDIT: So if anyone is desperate to get their hands on one, ask a friend traveling to Asia probably. :)
