There are so many things in Jaipur you could not explore due to time constraints......also districts like Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner are filled with amazing sites.
Hey Korbin, paneer is cottage cheese and is usually made by curdling hot or warm milk and Tofu is made from soya, unless you refer them both interchangeably.
Paneer is not cottage cheese. Paneer is Paneer and everyone around the world should call it that way. It's a type of cheese but it's neither cottage cheese (it's very different) nor Tofu.

I had been there in Jaipur long time ago with my brother and mom and dad. Both my parents passed away early but memories are there. Satyajit Ray's favorite place was Rajasthan, he said many time in interviews, he made lot of movies in Bengali based on Rajasthan.
When she said bajirao mastani was she meant to say padmavat? Cuz padmavat was base on rajputana (Rajasthani kings kingdom) and bajirao mastani was based on peshwa (a part of Maratha kingdom)

It just saddens me seeing how badly this beautiful heritage sites are maintained. See those walls it all dusty, all paint worn off,some parts are falling off, full of dirt, plastic wastes,polluted ponds, and even in some places of the walls are stained with gutka.

kabhi jaipur gya bhi hai it's the cleanest city after Chandigarh and all the forts and sites are well maintained they just don't overdo it to maintain the authenticity and look should be old and rich (vintage look) amer jaigarh nahargarh rambagh city place lake palace all are super clean and super vintage rich look is maintained I think they will be impressed with only jaipur Udaipur and Jodhpur city super rich heritage sites and history otherwise all the other city's in India are super dirty except these 3 are my favourite

If you really look into details, you will find that even during the British conquest, there were many Brits who were in love with India and it's culture. But of course, as in everything, one hears the bad stories first. Even Gandhi is not immune, with Africans destroying his statues. History is not black and white, pardon the pun.
Oh hell yeah Rick & Korbin tried Rajasthani Laal Maas!! I had tweeted to OSR on the day you arrived in Jaipur with a small, distant hope that you guys might see it and try the savory mutton curry that's one of the best curries in India. Kudos to your hosts and companions who took you around the city, to the beautiful forts and then, Rambagh Palace for lunch. I live in South India & eating Laal Maas is always a very special experience for me. I knew that Rick is gonna LOVE it. It does have a lot of heat, but that flavor... you can't get it anywhere but in the state of Rajasthan. I hope that Korbin gets used to spicy food before your tour is over. Rick's reaction said it all - in terms of flavor, Laal Maas, that tender mutton dripping with red chillies gravy, warrants a foodgasm.

You can make paneer at home guys it's very simple...boil milk , add single lime juice into the milk, it will disintegrate...into liquid and paneer granules. Strain the liquid what you have in your strainer is paneer. Hang it for an hour or two ...paneer is ready to be eaten just like that or cooking into a curry
