  • In this program recording, the History Center features a fascinating discussion with world-renowned miniaturist William R. Robertson. The discussion focuses on topics such as Robertson's start in miniature-making, his major projects and achievements during his lifelong career, his involvement in spreading the word of miniatures around the world, as well as his creative, constructive, and research processes.
William Robertson designs and builds historically accurate tools that in turn are used to build working replicas of objects. Bill’s works range from a Chester County spice chest to a fully operational microscope. Bill was always fascinated by small, detailed models, and out of that he built a unique career. They have been displayed all over the world - from the Smithsonian to The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures in Kansas City, Missouri.

I’m amazed with Mr Robertson’s craftsmanship! His ability to create a miniature in great detail plus making his own miniature tools to use as he makes each miniature piece. It’s amazing. He’s a masterful artist in his craft. 🥰. Oh, if I had a few thousands dollars. 😊
