Looking around the Premier League, where does the array of talent fall most under? Joined by fellow STTV members Mayowa Quadri and Fuad Cadani, CultureCams discusses a surprise position currently boasting some of the best and biggest in the game.
Centre backs are so stacked that you all forget to mention Ruben Dias.
Dias is genuinely the best CB in the league right now. The difference for the entire city team before he was playing consistently and not this year is staggering. Unbelievable raw defender and him and stones is the perfect partnership.
Word im thinking, are they shading Dias?? An Arsenal supporter btw
It's man city. They're forgettable.
dias showed it today him and stones were diff
@@Jeffstrongman12 yep. Almost as if Pep knows a good CB when he sees one.
This type of content is nice. These short 10-15 min discussions are everything. Big up
TOP CB's imo - Silva , Stones , Dias , Varane , Gabriel - CDM - Cas , Rodri , Partey , Paulinha , Caicedo/Dekkers - ST/CF- Haaland, Kane , Jesus , Isak , Toney
Cams needs to respect future captain Ruben Dias. Look at our record since he’s been back
Most stacked position is arsenal RUclipsr
CB easily I think. Dias, Gabriel, Stones, Botman, Saliba. The last one was so close, I just went with my bias. Although CDM looks nice as well with Rodri, Partey, Casemiro, Rice, Bruno G, Caicedo. City are criminals btw for stacking up with Laporte and Phillips. Also strikers and keepers are the weakest. Bar maybe 2 in their position, most are either decent and young or old and stagnated in their careers.
Ngl not having at least varane or licha is nasty
@@FormerFatman I said above that the last spot was a toss up between a few. Varane was on my shortlist. I just went with my bias for Saliba(I’m an Arsenal fan). Not having Licha though. Lots to prove for him.👍🏽
@@Bharani20 fairs. I understand licha has more to prove but in his 1st season in epl I think he’s proven some major points already
No thiago Silva is criminal
@@dubaimemes7550 Thiago Silva doesn’t make my shortlist because Chelsea aren’t even in the top 10 and I think he’s been injured for sometime. Chelsea haven’t won 5 games since the World Cup and you want me to mention their players in top 5 of anything?? Get out of here🤣
CBs is definitely the most stacked in terms of absolute numbers.
That said, you also have _two_ CBs in every eleven!
So, naturally, if CB and DM were equally strong positions...you'd end up with twice as many CBs as DMs.
That's why imo you can definitely make an argument for DM, too.
I agree that striker position isn't quite up there bc apart from the very best and the serviceable - there is somewhat a lack of young talents coming through. But we did have a few, like Greenwood (rip), Rashford, Jesus and now Alvarez.
edit: if I had to suggest another position, it probably would be GK. I know we don't have that many "elites" but there aren't many of those around anyways.
Alisson is definitely elite.
Ederson is, too. While his shot stopping has been very questionable for the past two seasons, his ball playing ability is still _absolutely insane_ for a GK. City can't play the way they do without him. And they would be much worse because of it. We see it in domestic cups all the time.
Ramsdale is having an absolutely great season.
Pope is very good.
Pickford is very good on his day and has saved Everton countless times.
Jose Sà has had his moments.
Mendy had a very good spell and Kepa definitely has a high ceiling.
De Gea's ball playing ability is so poor, it's detrimental to the team. But in terms of shot stopping he's still very good and definitely used to be elite.
Overall, the GK level in the PL is pretty high.
Man City playing 4 cbs at back bringing old skl flow back defend first
3:12 i’m so happy john stones is finally getting the recognition he deserves. he’s definitely in that A+ level Mayowa mentioned. he’s had some poor seasons in the past but he’s genuinely brilliant
Work rate like Stephen a for espn
No one is winning a title without a top DM or CB. City and even Arsenal has proved you can survive a title challenge without a striker.
Enjoy!
If you take into account percentage wise to how many players there are in that position I'd also mention GKs
Ederson, Alisson, Ramsdale, Pope etc
Hell United have De Gea and they say he's not good enough
De Gea is a below average PL goalkeeper
@@infamouscfc793 Nah I'd say he's just average, but again, they want him out
This man would start for many teams in Europe you know
Quavo knows ball
Man really tried not to mention Ibou. Mentioning man like Badiashile and Dunk
Top 5 DMs: Partey, Rodri, Case, Caicedo, Declan

Disgraceful how underrated Dias is. The best CB in the league.
He is not
@@user-tr1hx7jx4r he is. Name another CB who has been premier league POTS that’s currently playing. The difference between city with and without him is simply staggering. I implore you to watch some football.
