Shortly after this movie came out, my daughter told me that she stole Affion's bars from "Lester The Court Jesta" when she was in high school. She bit the whole joint, and her classmates were big uppin' her like she spit them off the top of the dome. I fell out laughing when she told me this. LMBO...In all honesty, the first hour of this joint had me crackin' up. The rest was "decent," but overall, I enjoyed it. RIP Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes.
This movie is hilarious. Here are some fun facts: Samuel L. Jackson’s name was also Louis in Eve’s Bayou & Floyd Henderson was the name of the father on Smart Guy.
This movie suffered from lack of promotion, and timing with the election. It’s one of those if you know you know type movies. I disagree about this movie not having quotables all the scenes with Affion are quotable to me. When I think of “fuck them kids” this movie always comes to mind. Me and my girlfriend’s family watched this on Thanksgiving after the Lions vs Bears game.
Seen it loved it and so did my family. But yall early breakdown is correct . It def is a single serving movie. I seen it a handful of times and haven't came back to it or seen it in years
While I understand the points you guys make about Lester and his crew, to me, sometimes, even the strongest of women link up with jackarses. Unfortunately, that's a real thing. And yeah, I know Affion was a little over the top, but I am sorry, that fool made me laugh. I am not a fan of actual c--ning at all. But I guess when he's linked up with Jackie Long and the other big swole cat, the movie sort of lends itself to some tomfoolery.
Bro I'm two seconds in and almost spit out my drink from that bed scene My family stay quoting the dog food line

I always say Lester the court jester
The apartment scene is the best part of the movie. Like you said the movie just didn’t carry the same amount of energy throughout the film.

I really enjoyed this movie. Sam Jackson and Bernie Mac had amazing chemistry in my opinion. RIP to the goat Bernie Mac 🖤🖤🖤

This movie was poorly marketed due to Bernie's death. It was just sold as his last movie without giving a taste of what it was.
