Thank you for explaining this process John. I appreciate your videos and recipes that you have worked out the difficulties and failures to freeze drying. You are my go to for how to do it right and when others say it can't be done. Happy trails!

Thanks so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge, this was helpful. Your videos have been invaluable to this “newbie”. Used a bunch of your pie balls for gifts this Christmas. Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too!
I never understood milleTorr before, but now I understand the cyclical up and down swings is how dry the product is. I always wondered why you were adamant about having mTorr at 260 or so. I thought the 40 hours is how you (you in particular) determined dryness.
I can’t say I paid much attention to the mTorr, following another “influencer’s” channel about weighing the product to determine dryness. 40 hours seemed too long. When you were working/sleeping I thought the amount of time was due to not being around to experience when the dryness was, and expected you would change the 40 hours to less time because you could be at the machine anytime.
John, you explained it all very well.
At first I thought you were going to cover things I have for my channel, but you covered other stuff. I won’t go into what I have for mine (mine is 3-4 times longer than your 15-16 minute video). Whew!😅
Merry Christmas
thanks, Merry Christmas to you too.
👍👍👍👍👍
Hi John, I have the newer model with Premier pump and v5.4 software. I see 110 mTorr range. Why is yours so high?
I have no idea. This has been the normal range since I bought it 5 years ago.
