Question. Do you worry about water getting in places it shouldn’t be? I’ve been contemplating pressure washing mine. I’m concerned about doing engine bay and starter/generator. Any advice?
Not really. As long as its not directed directly into any specific area for too long, you should be fine. I've been power washing carts with the exact engine/pump combo for 10 years and I've had one or two carts give me an issue. I've washed well over 2000 carts.
Been trying to find a video of how to clean a 90's Club Car gas engine but nothing around. Thankfully i found this on your site which was the closest to what I was looking for. If you ever get a chance to do one and explain what to watch out for and what to use it'd probably be popular. Sure there are a bunch of new owners like me that haven't the slightest.
come on Kevin....top only......how bout wheel wells...remove battery and clean that area.....belly area...Half done to my mind....sorry
Its lucky to even have been washed.
Good God my friend what a haul " in the rain." Soap them down.lol. Just replaced full steering on a TXT , all jacked up. Fellas cart at 30 miles to fast claimed it was all over the place. Full rack replacement . Found both frame hub brackets bent. Ties Rods and ends bent. Some body smucked a tree or two . Made be caught to much air off a jump.lol.
Hope you have a great season. Got to get back to the pain in my carts.
Nick.
Hi Kevin, I have a g29 I don’t think there’s a difference but my Yamaha seems to be missing the plastic rear roof support! I looked online and couldn’t find them, maybe I’m not using the right words but I can’t find them! Do you have any idea where I can find them online?
The roof supports are called top struts. Try searching Yamaha top struts.
This should be a good one to follow as you get it back up and running.
Videos coming soon on the repairs.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts Was just going to ask the same thing. Can't wait for the follow up videos of this.
Thanks for the video Kevin, I wash my cart every other week and they get that black spotting even in that short amount of time.
Yeah, the mildew latches on to some of these seats. After awhile, it will go away.
Have a question. Completely stripped wires out of a yamaha G16 and now, im lost. According to wiring diagrams that i could find on a FS SERIES motor, im 100% confident im correct. However, my motor says its a WOUND SERIES....is there a difference? I can't get this to run. I have ignition, brand new solenoid that kicks off and 37.6 volts on the pack(brand new barries). Brand new Curtis 36/48 1204...it has to be the schematic i used to the controller...any suggestions?
I like it sir, I found the power washing interesting because I am considering using a power washer on mine, but was am very leery off the engine compartment. Your content helped me on that issue. Thanks for the ride along.
Txt 4 cycle primary clutch
Where's the place to get one?
Thanks Kevin for all the video's and information!! Kevin I have a question. I own two Club Cars. My ??question ; what is the valve cap setting??? I need them adjusted. Thank you Kevin! PLease keep the awesome video's and God Bless
Depending on the year, these engines have hydraulic valves and are not adjustable. If you remove the valve cover and see adjuster screws, set them to .004 inches (4 thousandths).
If you do…do a lot of washing I highly suggest a foam gun. I bought the $70 some odd dollar one from chemical guys on Amazon. It’s amazing how clean it gets. Hose it down, foam it, let it set for 4-5 minutes, hose off, looks superb. I use pink soap by them too. Bought for my motorcycle and makes washing so much faster and easier.
I don't like foam guns. I've been doing it this way for years and this works best for me.
Hey Kevin, new subscriber here! Thanks for putting out great content and helping your fellow man. I just picked up an 02 TXT gas. Runs fine at higher speed but it's very difficult to go slow, creep along as the cart is very jumpy. Belt adjustment? Thanks
Adjust the valves if its hard starting.
Hey Kevin, I am looking for a gas tank for a G16a would you have one or be able to direct me to someone who may have one? I bought a project cart and the tank is missing completely. Any help would be appreciated.
Unfortunately, I don't have any gas tanks. I'd check ebay or try calling some local golf courses or repair shops to see if they have any available.
Hey Kevin, new here. Enjoy your videos. I have a 1997 workman EH29C. Valve train not turning. Any chance of a timing belt replacement video?
If it has a Robin 350cc engine, the timing belt is pretty straight forward. You can find service manuals for that engine all over the internet. There are no current plans for a timing belt video.
Awesome Kevin. Question how big of tires can you fit on a stock 1996 g16?
Stock is about all you'll get on that. Anything larger will rub. I've tried all different sizes without a lift kit on them and I've had rubbing issues on body and frame parts.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts imstagram❓❓❓
I'm local, how much would you sell a POS one for thats complete? Looking for a project or something to beat on.
I don't have any that are complete.
can you do a quick video showing your club car sometime
If one comes in that needs to be cleaned as bad as this one, sure.
That staining will come off. Super clean does very little. Regular household bleach on the seats. And a brillo pad. Ive had white seats that were black with mold, ect, bleach melts it away.
Bleach is terribly harsh on the material. It’s not a good solution to use long term.
@@aussie2uGA Golf cart seats are usually made of marine grade vinyl. Using bleach to help restore neglected seats is a great option to recovering them. I was told about this from other Golf cart places that use it also. It works like magic.
I won't use bleach on customer's carts. Superclean is much safer. Plus, its not mine and I don't detail carts.
Nice clean job! Kevin
Great video👍👍.
Thanks 👍
Kevin, Im out of St. Louis Mo.First sorry for your loss. never an easy time. Can you please talk with us on where to buy quality replacement parts. Thanks
