I've always been a camaro guy but I ended up with a super clean formula so I'm getting into the firebird side. it's kinda amazing the difference in these cars when I've always thought they were the same just looked different.
I've been doing the LS swap on my 89 firebird for almost 2 years now on and off. I'm about to the point you're at... been working on the wiring for about a week now, but just needed a little inspiration, which is exactly what I get from watching your videos. You see solutions to things that I would have never thought of, and you still manage to keep everything looking super clean. Your videos always give me the information and motivation that I need to keep my project moving along. Thanks Matt, great work as always.
I have watched this whole series two or three times over at this point. Excellent content, and it is wild to see how much you have improved as a videographer over the years! LET’S HEAR THIS SCREAMING CHICKEN SING!
Man… when a RUclips build first cranks and gives ME chills… thasswussup. Been waiting awhile to hear this thing fire up and do some pulls. Keep it up brotha!
I worked on a '70 Chevelle with the battery in the back that kept blowing a 200A fuse on the lead run specifically to the sarter from the battery. It was 1/0 wire. The owners mechanic told me the starter could draw up to 600A (!!!) peak, and not to fuse it. Didn't love that idea, but I'm surprised you aren't popping that 150A breaker. Cool that it cranked! Also, I edpected a Manscaped sponsored video after the way you started it. lol
So glad to see the TA content, looking forward to your presentation on the Volvo electric steering, that is very intriguing. Then the idea of re-routing the starter / power wires is excellent. Thanks
looking forward to the Volvo steering pump. if your ecm will out put a pwm for fans. the c7 fan is an awesome brushless spal for 200$ with a nice shroud. cools my c6 wonderfully on track days. super quiet low speed around town too.
Looking forward to the electric steering install.. just bought a 2014 motor out of a Camaro and it didn't come with a power steering pump attached.. I didn't know electric steering was a thing, anyway its going in an 1985 Iroc .. so this is very relevant to me.. keep up the good work.
Awesome work, Matt! I literally yelled "YES!" when it cranked over. My family gave me odd looks. They don't understand. LOL. Keep the progress videos coming. Can't wait for the next one!!🤟😎🥳
Brother that is awsome!!! I can't wait to see you Rollin in her. I am working on my first swap. Ls3 in a 03 Crown Vic. I love the Vics but it cost way too much to make good reliable power.
Finally some Firebird content! I've been waiting for this thing to be done. Looks good man. Can't wait to see her rip up the streets. I have a '89 GTA 80k miles all original that I'd love to LS swap one day whenever the 350 gets worn out
Hi Matt great videos. I love the content. I was wondering if u plan on making any modifications on the structure of the carto reinforce it.... given that it's a nearly 40 year old t top car... would like to get some inspiration for my own.
Hey just out of curiosity I’m currently fixing my leather on my 2005 chevy tahoe seat and I watched ur video on the seatshops leather and durafoam I purchased the leather from them but I’m wondering how soft or how much firmer is their durafoam vs oem i liked the softness of the oem seat I got around 201000 miles out of the oem one but if the durafoam is to firm I don’t want that can you let me know about how close it is to oem
So got the car today would love to show you pic of it for 1800 bucks it was a good deal guy had cancer an needed the cash I'm not sure if I'm gonna tpi or ls swap it the guy had it for 10 years an went through the whole motor an even did belts an wires plugs to it's really clean might just keep it original till the motor gives one day. And also I'm having an issue the the ttops they look faded bad I try to clean an nothing I used my finger nail to scratch the surface an it feels like paint I'm not sure but I do not like it want them clean an clear
My Dream is to shove the CTS-V Twin Turbo into around a 3rd gen as like a crazy version of the Turbo Trans Am restomod/clone. The image is in my head, the money is not in my wallet 😂😅
Well, I say you can't trim the beard until the car is drivable... in worst case scenario, you can go as Santa if not complete by Christmas 😅😅😅😅 just kidding Matt
I am not against a wiring video from you. Feel like youd actually be entertaining and beneficial to learn wiring from. Thats always been one of my biggest issues and there arent many in depth and understandable videos out there on third gens for any wiring. So if you do think about it, ESPECIALLY if you do anything guage wise, im sure some people would love to see it
I feel like such a slacker everytime i come to your channel. Ive had my iroc as long as you. Still like 0 progress you're finishing another bad ass 3rd gen already.
As a former thirdgen owner and long time F-body guy, I'm enjoying the Trans Am content.
I'm glad you kept building this car. I've always been a diehard firebird trans am fan. I've had 3 so far. Keep up the good work!
I’m on my 3rd also, my current one has the Kitt front nose and what not
I've always been a camaro guy but I ended up with a super clean formula so I'm getting into the firebird side. it's kinda amazing the difference in these cars when I've always thought they were the same just looked different.
I've got an '88 GTA, and a LQ9 -T56 setup that I'll let you work on next if you want, 😊

Love the custom build decisions. Car is looking great.
This is the car that originally brought me to your channel a few years ago. Always love seeing the progress on the T/A!
I like watching your wiring.
That made me smile there. Can’t wait!

Nice job Matt! Glad to see the Trans Am running.
I love this project and can't wait until you test drive it!!! 😇🦅
I really love watching the wireing its extremely informational with my trans am build
My god this is turning out to be such a sick build! Keep up the awesome work brother!
Wait a second, foil tape as heat shielding for wire? That works? That's bloody brilliant!
is it heat shield or RF shielding?
You. Still. Da. Man. That. TA came. A. Long. Way .
Yes! Finally Matt! Glad it is coming along. I’m a diehard F-body guy. I’m in the middle of a rebuild of the motor in my 92. I really needed this.
Glad to see youre working on it again. I just got my harness and mounts for my 87 trans am I hope to finish swapping soon.

Super excited to be seeing more trans am content!
Can’t wait for the first start up
oh yeah those reset beakers. I've seen a few people run them and they always randomly trip. you may find it annoying at some point
Awesome work, Matt! I literally yelled "YES!" when it cranked over. My family gave me odd looks. They don't understand. LOL. Keep the progress videos coming. Can't wait for the next one!!🤟😎🥳
Oh yea! Looking forward for more. Making me want to sell my g8 so I can have enough money to redo it lol.

Love the 80's montage music.
The bird is turning into a Phoenix. Keep it up

There was that Matt guy on this channel, but now there's the ghost of John Belushi building a Trans Am
Congrats Matt most people’s project cars are still on jack stands 😅 ( like mine)😂
Looking GOOD!!!
Awesome man!!
I'm a g body and 1st gen camaro owner and love the content
Heck yeah!
awesome work, that engine bay is looking cleaaan!
Hi Matt great videos. I love the content.
I was wondering if u plan on making any modifications on the structure of the carto reinforce it.... given that it's a nearly 40 year old t top car... would like to get some inspiration for my own.
I’m happy for you
I really enjoyed the montage music great pick🙂👍my favorite good music and gm cars and trucks
I'm interested in how the gauges are going to work...
The original factory coil power wire is only protected with the fusible link, there's no fast blow fuse. Just FYI
I’m just planning on using it to trigger relays so there won’t be much current at all.
@@lsxmatt I usually use the emissions power wire for the relays, since those are protected by a 10 amp fuse. It's the small pink one off the C100
I just like listening to the music...😀
Also, where can I get the gasket type material you used for the radiator mounting? I need material like that for my side mirrors and high rise spoiler
Have you or anyone had any experience using the cathedral to square intake adapters?
Hey just out of curiosity I’m currently fixing my leather on my 2005 chevy tahoe seat and I watched ur video on the seatshops leather and durafoam I purchased the leather from them but I’m wondering how soft or how much firmer is their durafoam vs oem i liked the softness of the oem seat I got around 201000 miles out of the oem one but if the durafoam is to firm I don’t want that can you let me know about how close it is to oem
Nice work Matt , where did you find the wiper fluid pump ,wiring , and container?
Got them off ebay, I think from Hawks
This karate kid montage music is hilarious😂
But the video was cool
I can’t wait to see this power steering issue works out
Wow bro!! How long does it take you to grow a beard.
Is that the new intake where the injectors and everything is contained inside?
No the injectors are in the heads under the intake.
I'm going this weekend to buy me my new Camaro a 92 rs Camaro all original has 140k miles straight body. I either want to tpi swap it or LS3 swap it
So got the car today would love to show you pic of it for 1800 bucks it was a good deal guy had cancer an needed the cash I'm not sure if I'm gonna tpi or ls swap it the guy had it for 10 years an went through the whole motor an even did belts an wires plugs to it's really clean might just keep it original till the motor gives one day. @@lsxmatt thanks man

Awesome !
Did you have to notch the cross never to fit the engine
Well, I say you can't trim the beard until the car is drivable... in worst case scenario, you can go as Santa if not complete by Christmas 😅😅😅😅 just kidding Matt
