@@lapolicedelapensee7047 Yeah. I also enjoyed, Hard Target, Bloodsport, Kickboxer... and... I know alot of people dont rate it but as a kid I watched Street Fighter so many times. He played twins in a couple of films and I always get them confused. What was the film when he plays an old man version of himself aswell?
This movie is Van Damme’s highest grossing film breaking the box office more than $100 million. You should definitely watch Bloodsport (1988), Kickboxer (1989), Double Impact (1991), Universal Soldier (1992), and Hard Target (1993). Also, the jumping spinning kick aka the helicopter kick that he does is his signature move. He does it in almost every one of his films.
If you loved 'Timecop', check out a US TV series called 'Time Trax'. Identical premise. Secialized cop division set up to travel through time pursuing multiple criminals who intend to settle in the past.
Jen! You have to react to Van Damme in "Hard Target" (1993) Dir by John Woo! It's over the top, bombastic and camp in the best way possible, you will love it. Great Bad guys in Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) and Lance Henrikson (Aliens), plus Wilford Brimley in action mode!!! Keep up the good work!
Don't forget Yancy Butler (Witchblade) and Kasi Lemmons (The Silence of the Lambs). Hard Target is great. Also worth a look is Maximum Risk with Natasha Henstridge (Species).
Timecop is a hidden gem and I love it. It’s such a fun movie experience and Van Damme always kicks ass, plus who doesn’t love some good old time travel.
@DurkMcGerk Sudden Death is another solid Van Damme movie by the same Director as Timecop. These two movies were his only big-ish budget movies with high production value. I love his early stuff, but these two were first-run releases. Street Fighter had a big budget too, but was poorly executed.
"What am I like 10 years from now?" "Just like now... only deader" LMAO, GET JENNED I love Jen's positive take on 90s action movies at the end; she was always someone you would love watching a movie with. Congrats for 300k subscribers, Jen! Watching your old videos has been a blast.
4:23 Mark! "Walker"! 😮 Now that's funny! 😂😅 (Yes, Chuck Norris, a rival martial arts star, played a character named, "Walker, Texas Ranger" but that's not the coincidence that came to mind!) The coincidence is that there's a movie about a guy with a motorcycle that time traveled titled "Time Rider" and a series about a guy that didn't have a motorcycle so he was a "Time Walker"! 😅😂 There's versions of the classic "The Time Machine" but there is also "The Time Tunnel" and "The Time Train"! 😊
The best of JCVD (IMO) would be: Bloodsport, Double Impact, Kickboxer, Universal Soldier and Hard Target. The rest are quite subjective, others were OK: Lionheart and Cyborg. Maximum Risk and The Quest were OK too.
Jen Murray! Hello there! 👋 He played himself in an "NBC" series set in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died! That series is a crossover hub with other "NBC" series. Poobala calls that shared universe, "The Jean-Claude Van Damme is Dead Universe"! 😂😅 Why? Because if he is dead in that show, then he is also dead in the others! Any other roles he had since that episode was made, would have to have a different person! 😮
Another underappreciated gem of a movie from the 1990s is Strange Days. It was directed by Kathyrn Bigelow (Point Break, The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), written by James Cameron (Aliens, Terminator (1 & 2), True Lies, Titanic, Avatar) and starred Ralph Finnes and Angela Bassett.
Jean Claude Van Dame is by far one of the top martial artist who has skills beyond measure. His kicks are phenomenal. Time Cop is a movie with action. His performance rivals Blood sport and Kickboxer two of his major hits. I enjoy a good Martial arts movie and this one does stand out.
"Blood Sport" made Jean Claude van Damme a star, but I like the much lesser known "The Quest" which has the similar theme of an international martial arts tournament, but the variety of styles is more interestingly, and acting, though till cheesy, is noticeably better. Also, set in the 1920s, it has a retro vibe that I found appealing.
Great reaction Jen! And I like how you say to just enjoy the movie for what it is, good advice. Time Cop is one of my favorite JCVD flicks, and another one you will enjoy is "Double Impact". Which is my favorite of his films. All I will tell you about the movie is it has plenty of action, kicks and splits, lol! I always love watching your fun reactions! Thank you 🎥❤️🍿

Your comment is dope ! Plus I feel the same on the final part of your comment after watching this movie reaction. I miss the 90s so much it gave me a lot of great childhood memories too.
Years ago, in another life, I was supposed to be in this film. I was initially cast as one of JCVDs fellow officers, but was told I was a little too large to share scenes with Jean Claude - who is of shorter stature.
One of my favorite Jean Claude Van Damme movies from my childhood! This was a kickass movie, where a cop in 2004 Washington DC, uses time travel to fight crime.
Fun Fact: The actress that plays the wife, Mia Sara, played Stone in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. She was also married to Sean Connery's son Jason Connery with one son. Currently is married to Jim Henson's (Muppet's creator) son, Brian Henson with one daughter.
If we're talking Van Damme films, you need to check out 'Sudden Death' (same director). As 'Die Hard' knock-offs go, it's one of the most entertaining and efficient out there. And it's kinda unique with its fight scenes.
In case it's not obvious from this movie, Van Damme's 'signature moves' are his full-splits and roundhouse kicks. He's a very flexible guy, and accent notwisthstanding, has a lot of charm. He plays underdogs WAY more than invincible hardcases. Unlike some other action stars (cough Steven Seagal cough), he's also been willing to mock his own image - the movie 'JCVD' is a trippy but fun concept.

Thanks Jen awesome choice. ❤❤your channel. Hello from Pa USA 🇺🇸
I was so excited when i noticed this reaction was up, a real throw back for me and was a great watch! Looking forward to you doing a reaction to Blood Sport, it's the best point to continue your JCVD journey.
One the baddest movie 👍ever made in my opinion ! There should have been more movies from this film.🍿😲
OMG! I haven't seen this in years. It's very cheesey but it's like a car wreck on the highway, you can't look away. LOL
Timecop is always happening, but also completely happens in one instant.
18:05 Mark! Huh? Haha! No, because he died in the Past! He wouldn't be in the Future! 😂
I say for a time travel movie this is great writing
Jenn.. you are so adorable and funny.. I really enjoy your reactions..
