You should definitely watch Bloodsport (1988), Kickboxer (1989), Double Impact (1991), Universal Soldier (1992), and Hard Target (1993). Also, the jumping spinning kick aka the helicopter kick that he does is his signature move. He does it in almost every one of his films.

Poobala calls that shared universe, "The Jean-Claude Van Damme is Dead Universe"! 😂😅 Why? Because if he is dead in that show, then he is also dead in the others! In case it's not obvious from this movie, Van Damme's 'signature moves' are his full-splits and roundhouse kicks. He's a very flexible guy, and accent notwisthstanding, has a lot of charm. He plays underdogs WAY more than invincible hardcases. Unlike some other action stars (cough Steven Seagal cough), he's also been willing to mock his own image - the movie 'JCVD' is a trippy but fun concept.

Back in the day those special effects were pretty cool. That was why this movie was such a blockbuster in the mid 1990s. Besides the plot and the action scenes gave it such a thrill we all expected from JCVD.

This is my favourite JCVD film. I love it, and try not to overthink the questions i have about it, such as where does the time transport pod disappear to, and how do they get back into it on the return trip😂.

Apart from your plans, here some more JVCD suggestions:
    - No Retreat, No Surrender (1985)
    - Kickboxer (1989)
    - Double Impacht (1991)
    - The Quest (1996)
He also plays a great villain in the Expendables 2, a series with a great action cast (e.g. Silvester Stallone), you might wanna watch 😉.

The muscles from Brussels! JCVD was such an icon in the late 80s/90s. Not the best of the big action stars, but he's handsome, charming, and flexible AF.
Definitely check out Hard Target, which pairs him with director John Woo, Bloodsport, and Street Fighter (it's so dumb but you'll love it).

One of my earliest memories was watching this with my parents and older brothers in the living room. I was 4 or 5. When the love scene started my mom told me to go behind the couch and not look. But I snuck a peak anyway 😂. I always loved the action in this as well as Universal Soldier. Led to watching JCVD’s older stuff like Bloodsport and Kickboxer.

Hey great choice for a sci fi time travel movie! Cheesy van dame is always a good choice! Jumping around thru time does leave you a bit unsure who's who! Lol It was fun to se you get all giddy for explosions 😅 but i get it! Best part is when the same persons from different times touch each other and turn to mush! Perfect! Great reaction Jen thanks for sharing! Luv ya❤️💛

Every time I see this one, I just get weirded out that Farris Bueller's girlfriend Sloane is sleeping with Jean Claude Van Damme... and the big warning about time travel is "don't touch yourself or things will get messy." 🤔
