    As a Watford supporter I am fed up with how the owners have ripped the soul out of our club. Graham Taylor would be turning in his grave with how we're run as a club. They've pissed off a club legend in Luther Blissett as well which is unforgivable. Would be happier sat mid table in the Championship playing the likes of Barnsley away on a Tuesday night. Not even joking. I hate the Premier League and what it stands for. No enjoyment at all.

    To my mind, this is a strange perspective on Ranieri's tenure. Watford battered both Man United and Everton, drew with Newcastle & would have had at least 2 other draws if their players hadn't needlessly given away a couple of last-minute penalties. Freely accept that the Norwich game was a disaster for Watford but I don't suppose the game being intermittently stopped for flood-light issues helped. I just think fans need more realistic expectations - promoted teams are always the most likely to suffer relegation.

    I agree with the fan. I'm a Leeds fan but if I was a fan of Watford I'd want the owners out as well. They are just bringing in whoever and expecting it to work. Owners have zero clue about football. There is no identity on the pitch. Leeds for example high pressing, high energy football. When Bielsa leaves we have a basis for the next guy. Watford doesn't have that and with signings, it's quantity over quality. Dennis and maybe King are the only two that have done anything.

    I felt sorry for the last manager Munoz he got them promoted in the first place I think he had seven points from seven games that's a pretty decent start he made I would say? So as a neutral I can't get my head around what these owners are thinking at times I mean wasn't Pearson sacked with two matches to go when they had a chance to stay up? On ranieri he might aswell of done a sir alex and given up football management when he won the league at Leicester because that was one of the greatest football stories of all time but he will keep getting jobs as long as he is around tho imo 😎😎

    Watford pull triggers on managers way too quickly. Their ambitions are way too high for where the club is, and has been for some time. They sign players left right and centre that do not make the squad better, because they are being brought into a squad which has no direction. They are surely destined for the drop this season. Would take an absolute miracle to save them now.

  • @drell3813
    @drell3813 2 года назад +2

    Javi Gracia should've stayed a couple years ago even if we got relegated. Munoz was out of his depth in the Premier League but maybe should've been given longer and more of an opportunity to learn and improve. One big issue is the owners having terrible transfer strategy and blaming it on managers.
    In an interview with Scott Duxbury (our CEO) he basically said academies weren't necessary and didn't make sense for a club like Watford. One of the first things that happened when the Pozzos came in was our academy being downgraded and instead we have a vast scouting network that brings in a bunch of players who don't care about the club. Out of the 14 players who played on Friday against Norwich, 7 of them were new signings this year, 3 of them this month. The only player who played consistently well that day was Joao Pedro who is young and obviously sees Watford as his new home. The rest of the team are just mercenaries who've been bought in to do a job for a club they don't care about. The players who do well for us are either young and looking to prove themselves like Pedro, Hernandez, Sarr, or they're normally English and know who Watford FC are and have been given an opportunity like Cleverley, Cathcart, King, Deeney, Hughes etc.
    These random signings don't care enough, don't work hard enough and they don't have enough committed players around them when they play to get them fired up and working harder. Deeney would've been screaming at the team to put the work in if he was still here. Instead our captain was Moussa Sissoko who was signed in the summer.

I’m an Everton fan and I’m Portuguese so maybe I got a bit of a bias here but Watford are a team that sacks managers left and right. What manager in their right mind wouldn’t flirt with other clubs when they know two bad games will be enough to get the them sack at this Watford regime? The owners of Watford are absolute lunatics honestly. I do honestly think they’re crazy they way they just sack managers every 3 minutes. You can’t blame any manager for wanting to jump ship the second they find another opportunity

I think there could have been a case to keep Ranieri in longer, though this unprecedented two week no games window I reckon had an influence in making them think there’d be enough time to bring someone in quickly and get them familiar with the squad. Grateful to the Pozzo’s for making us competitive but this managerial recruitment policy cannot go on indefinitely.

    I'm sorry but Watford and their owners know they are gonna be in the bottom half of the table and fighting relegation, so why when in that situation do they change the manager, they need to stick with 1 and back him, simple as that

    Could you imagine being a Drop-ford fan? Honestly, you'd rather have your teeth pulled with no anesthetic. What a joyless, imageless, glum team. Unfashionable, invisible and with no history or success to speak of.

      New thumbnails looking like they're a terrible football podcast with idiots on. Simon "don of talksport" Jordan doesn't deserve this and neither does Jim "the owl" White and Danny "Realtalk" Murphy
