Just caught my first trout today in northern indiana from your videos! 8.5lbs, 34in! Thanks for the infk! It took 3 weekends in a row, but i got results!
Just ordered a sweatshirt! We look forward to your videos and they always give us the ambition to get out there and fish! Waiting on it to cool down in NWI for things to really turn on for us here. Tight lines
Y'all putting in the work and it shows. Just keep saying it, another great vid. Maybe longer for the next one? Brooke rockin that pink stick and hoodie for sure is good to see her having so fun. Waiting for the next one bro 😊
FRESH MAMA! Good one. With them swallowing it and bleeding from being hooked deep, do you catch your limit and stop or do you practice catch and dead release?
Hey man, im making a trip to Canada but got a little delayed due to passport renewal. Do the salmon stay in the ganaraska walk over bridge towards early october? or should i be heading out soon if i want to get a good run? thank you!
Hey gents with the heat waves we had that early run was really tough. I was fishing spinners for bass in early august and actually got some king hits. Went back to the spot after the heatwaves and saw a whole lotta dead ones
Definitely been a weird year so far. Hoping things pick up but might just be a slower run in most rivers around here. Heat and low water definitely isn’t helping
TLDR: Your lake run fish are akin to the Tule run on the west coast and that is probably by you get flack about the relative brightness of the fish. Just found your channel and I'm burning through your bobber downs like they are the new designer drug. Ive noticed there is a bit of a "chrome" controversy, so maybe I can shed some light on the matter. Here on the west coast we have some very long river systems the kings are native to. Some of these fish travel hundereds of miles upstream before reaching their spawing grounds which takes some time. Thus, the fish start thier migration several months before they reach sexual maturity(get dark). When these fish are caught in the lower parts of the river or even in the ocean itself they really are as shiney as a polished bumper of a classic car. On the Columbia River we have what is called a "Tule" stock(LRT) that spawns in small tributaries near the ocean so these fish tend to stay in the ocean/esturary as they mature and thus loose their "chrome" color much earlier compared to the "Up River Bright" stock(URB) that spawn much higher in the system and are prized for the high fat content of thier meat.
I did not know this. Actually very interesting and makes sense why most river fish from the west coast seem brighter than ours. Preciate ya watching and thanks for the info man!
The duck is a fish eater it'eats about three pounds of smolts three times a day so every hunting season Hunt that river a d shoot Those merganser ducks. Plus they kinds tastey. Just to let you know about the merganser ducks killem and grillem
Why does it seem like I never see anyone keep these kings from the Great Lakes in the rivers? Looks like some of them would have decent meat quality. Out west I don't know many people that would catch and release kings.
We keep plenty of kings from Mi. Our bait is from female fish so most females get kept. Those are mainly for the smoker but we also keep early season males for table fare

Im in northeast mi, river fishing, seen them coming in no bites
same. went this morning. heard and saw plenty. zero bites
It’s been an unusually tough year for bites. You’re definitely not the only one man keep grinding it out n goodluck!
I just caught my first king in Petoskey on skein. What an amazing experience. I'm still learning been 5 years of going out and trying
Right on man! Congrats and welcome to the addiction 😎🤘🏼
nice video what gear are you using? ive never been salmon fishing so not sure what to use
Thanks! We were using cured salmon eggs in the membrane aka skein
What is the bait you use for these, and do you think it would work for Atlantic salmon
Mainly skein, I’m sure it would work for atlantics. Maybe try smaller pieces and different colors other than red for them tho
FRESH MAMA! Good one. With them swallowing it and bleeding from being hooked deep, do you catch your limit and stop or do you practice catch and dead release?
Most fish can be cleanly released. Some eat it deep and are kept. Both fish in this vid were harvested for meat and eggs
Hey man, im making a trip to Canada but got a little delayed due to passport renewal. Do the salmon stay in the ganaraska walk over bridge towards early october? or should i be heading out soon if i want to get a good run? thank you!
I have no idea. Never heard of that spot. We are Michigan based

Nice video 👍 question So in your state you can keep the natives as well?
Thanks! Yes we can
That first fish was a bleeder, must have been hooked bad in the gills/throat. Hopefully you kept it.
Yessir she was kept. Ate it all the way to the gills!
Great show, if that's your girl I'd get something on that lockdown finger m8 she's a keeper 👌
A keeper for sure. Thanks for watching!
very cool 👍 where is the location, if not a secret? thank you
Thank ya! We don’t share rivers names on our channel. Tight lines
Short but sweet , whats best setup to use off pier?
For salmon?
found setup on anouther one of your vids , thanks@@sbsoutdooraction3055
Im guessing this is northern Michigan, seems a little early to be getting them down south.
👍
Drop em!
Yessir!😎😎
What state 😕
Mi

how do you get them to bite
Skein (fish eggs), crank baits, spinners etc!
The duck is a fish eater it'eats about three pounds of smolts three times a day so every hunting season Hunt that river a d shoot Those merganser ducks. Plus they kinds tastey. Just to let you know about the merganser ducks killem and grillem
Didn’t know that. Preciate the info I’ll have to pass it along to my duck huntin buddies!
