Simon has been doing this for a long long time and if he picks up on something that can help and he stops you its for a reason. Unless they were so brilliant that they adapted instantly and with no plan, their arrangement gives it away that it was always meant to be acapella! This clearly was staged, but a brilliant performance nonetheless
