@@ryansulak I havent used Flame , its high end program and used only in big studios I think, better learn one of the rest compositing programs, Nuke, Fusion , After Effects.
The difference between donald glover and the other guy is donald didnt use his hand to soften the fall😎 yrah yeah i understand the other guy is just a producer or something to that nature but still, you get my point! Dedication to the craft!!!
Attempting this shit as well but with my own spin. Wish me luck y’all.. amazing that any of us ended up on this video at all tbh. Love knowing how it’s done.
I think it's the easiest and cheapest way to try and pull it off. Otherwise, just think outside the box and figure out how you are going to mimic the same movement with a DIY setup.
This video just goes to show how far creators will go to create a stunning effect. Love it so much
"you serious?"
My name
They're called 'directors' and 'cinematographers' btw
makes so much more sense that they used the stunt bag cuz the lighting is clean af
Bet that visual engineer was sweating bullets hoping the vfx software didn't crash
Lol nice one
Definitely saved a bunch of different files for this project at least once an hour
Why
@@Balthazar2242 for some unholy reason vfx software keeps crashing whenever the user tries to do some real work
@@memesfromtheforsakenworlwi9218 especially Smoke which is the one used here
Peter Care, the director of Shake the Disease by Depeche Mode used this same technique back in 1988. Glad to see it so many years later!
Deep dive! Thanks for that nugget homie. Never seen it b4, bout to peep.
so cool when you learn about the origins of techniques, thanks for sharing!
just watched it, I was kinda disappointed but also found it hilarious how we never get to see the guys land LOL
Worked on this. Was there on the day. This is spot on.
Work on anything else for Atlanta?
Why didn't they put a green screen behind him? Wouldn't that make the work easier?
Phenomenal! Thank you so much for sharing this! I've wanted to replicate this fx so badly
So good. Cheers for uploading this was looking everywhere for it

This is so good. Wow.
and here i thought him potentially harming his shoulder must have been the wost thing.
A year later I come back because love this stuff that much!
This was very cool to see all the details. Thanks
so many people have ripped this shot off since it came out, iconic
🙄 fam this technique has been around since the 80s. If you think this was “ripped off” you’re going to have a rude awakening if you ever study film.
you must be the funny one at parties @@ToxicHAL

WOW!!! That's definitely The Green Store on Simpson Dr!!!

Amazing work
Always wanted to know how they did that and didn’t think I’d ever get to see it 🙏🏻
Sick!
I don’t know what this is, but it was awesome!
i used to have that exact sweater
Surprised no one mentioned the use of this in the "ASAP Forever" music video by A$AP Rocky
What is that morphing software? 😮 Not seen that before. Very innovative production

Very epic
I've Heard of this Show but never knew what IT was about, so I Watched this to find Out and Well, still No Clue :D
Why would you watch a VFX breakdown for a promo to find out what the show is about? Makes no sense.

what is the name of this camera move
Which episode was this i don't remember it?
What program was used for morphing the two shots together?
Might be Nuke
@@emiliomalagon4115 Its actually Flame
@@petarpetrov5548 do you recommend that program for something like this or is there an easier one to use?

whats that song
Gap in the Clouds by Yellow Days
How would I do this without a fancy expensive rig???
Ulintz Productions a cheap tripod and try to to keep leveled with each shot 😅

What are they editing with, please help
From what I'm seeing, it looks like Boris FX Mocha Pro.
The artist said this was all done in Autodesk Flame
Software??
Looks like Flame or Smoke, probably Flame

I swear, so many haters towards this show and for what?

This show is really fucking bad. No new consents or ideas just the same narrative that’s been shoved down our throats for the past 6 years.
Amazing
